"It's good that you're here," Sebastian transmitted to Kyle from inside his Elemental.
"Oh?" Kyle transmitted back. "I just checked up on you to make sure that everything's alright, but I didn't expect that you actually had something of concern. I assume it's related to the Immortal Elements?"
Right now, Sebastian was inside his Elemental, which had reached the level of a Peak Spirit Lord. He had successfully prehended the Major Law of Lightning. The obvious next step was to look at the Immortal Elements. If Sebastian could prehend the Law of Immortal Lightning, his Elemental would reach the power of a Peak Ascendant, which translated to the level of power of an Advanced or Fulfilled Ascendant.
"Yes, it's related to them," Sebastian answered. "I did some scouting while waiting for you, and since my Elemental is now so strong, I've also gone to places where I haven't been to before."
"You mean the eastern edge of the world?" Kyle asked.
Back then, the eastern edge of the world had been blocked by a great number of Major Elementals, and Sebastian hadn't been strong enough to venture there.
"Precisely," Sebastian answered. "What do you think I found there? You have all of the clues to e up with the right answer."
"Can't you just tell me?" Kyle asked with a raised brow.
"Just think about it," Sebastian answered. "The Elemental Dimension has recovered, right?"
"Yep," Kyle mented.
"Then, have you ever seen an Immortal Elemental? They are supposed to exist in Primary Worlds."
"Nope," Kyle mented.
"Why not? There are no more Formation Arrays, and the Law Wells have all been thrown into chaos. All of the other Elementals are moving around chaotically. The density of Elemental Energies should be higher near the center of the world. Why have we not seen a single Immortal Elemental?"
"Wait, you also haven't seen one?" Kyle asked with furrowed brows. "That's strange."
"Also, have you actually noticed that the density of Elemental Energies is a bit... lackluster?" Sebastian asked. "According to the rules, the Elemental Dimension of Ayuvar has enough Elemental Energies, but there are not even that many Major Elementals."
Kyle looked at the Elemental Dimension. "It does seem a bit weak. I thought this was how it's supposed to be. I mean, the previous Elemental Dimension was filled to the brim. I thought this would be normal, but now that you mention it, it seems a bit weak."
"But based on the rules, this world should have more than enough Elemental Energies to support Immortal Elementals. So, if there aren't any..."
Kyle's brows rose as he thought of something. "Something else is taking their place!"
"Correct," Sebastian answered. "If you think about it, you should also e up with the answer."
"I think I already know," Kyle transmitted. "I guess the Elemental Demons were spared, correct?"
"Yep," Sebastian answered. "When I went to the east, I felt tremendous vibrations. I didn't dare to get too close, but just based on the vibrations, I could tell that several extremely powerful existences were fighting something."
"You're saying the Elemental Demons are still attacking the World Wall?" Kyle asked.
"Most likely, yes," Sebastian responded. "That's a huge problem for both of us."
Kyle furrowed his brows as he analyzed the situation.
'I thought I could also look at the Immortal Elements in the Spirit Lord Realm, but that has bee extremely difficult now. Immortal Elementals can reach the level of a Peak Ascendant, but that doesn't mean that they have to be on that level. There are plenty of Immortal Elementals that have freshly advanced. Additionally, there are also Major Elementals that are in the process of turning into an Immortal Elemental.'
'Yet, with the presence of the Elemental Demons, there are not enough Elemental Energies to support the Major Elementals during their advancement. At most, they can convert a small part of themselves into an Immortal Element. If I'm stuck with them as my only source of Law prehension, I would need ten to a hundred times more time to prehend even a single Immortal Element Law.'
'Even worse, the Elemental Demons are probably all as strong as Peak Ascendants. Yes, I'm pretty strong, thanks to having undergone Fusion already, but their power already includes the burst you get after undergoing Fusion.'
'My Fusion only gives me an equal footing with them on a base level, but in truth, they are still an entire Realm above me. It's like back then when I used my Demon Car to prehend the Gravity Elements, but even worse. Back then, I only needed to jump four levels, not five. Even more, it was only possible because I could perfectly predict what the enemy would do in any given circumstance, thanks to my superior perception and mind.'
"That's no longer the case. In fact, my mind will be slower than theirs. Lastly, I don't know how the Elemental Demons think and act. If I attack one of them, will the others just watch, or will they gang up on me?"
"Not sure if you've already e up with the obvious answer," Sebastian transmitted, "but you can scrap that one as well. It won't work."
"The Law Wells, right?" Kyle asked. Naturally, he had already thought about that solution, but he had almost immediately discarded it.
"Yep," Sebastian mented. "The obvious solution is to go to the Law Wells in the Main Dimension. Since there are a bunch of Elemental Demons in that place, the corresponding place in the Main Dimension should be filled to the brim with Law Wells for the Immortal Elements."
"But if I go there, I will die," Kyle added. "I can resist the Immortal Elements, but..."
"You can't resist the Overseer." Sebastian finished Kyle's sentence. "The Overseer is almost certainly experimenting with the World Wall in the Main Dimension, and they do not want to be disturbed by anyone. No one in the Main Dimension can go to or even sense this place. It's billions of kilometers below the surface, and it's overflowing with Immortal Elemental Energies."
"You could probably go to the Main Dimension for a short time since they're probably not paying a lot of attention, but if you suddenly appear in their close vicinity, there's no way they won't notice you."
Kyle sighed. "So, if I want to prehend the Immortal Elements, I need to find a way to battle an Elemental Demon for thousands of years without dying or arousing any suspicions."
"Or you could try acting like one of them," Sebastian transmitted with a shrug.
"To some degree, I have to," Kyle answered. "I gotta go there, join them, provoke one of them to a duel, and fight them. I can't think of another way."
"Anyway, I need to finish the Major Elements. I need far more power if I want a shot at even surviving a single strike from them."
"Sounds reasonable," Sebastian said. "For now, I will keep working on my Imposing Law. I still need to improve it a bit more to bee a Unique Spirit Lord."
Kyle nodded. The two of them talked for a bit more before they split up again.
'At least there's now a reason to create new plex Laws.'
