A few hours later, everything was sorted and Kai ssaged the details of the new apartnt to Nick, before helping the two of them move in.

Kai, as good a man as he was, didn’t forget to constantly remind Nick that he wouldn’t accept any paynt from Nick, and that it was on the house.

As the sun gradually set on their side of Planet Terminus, Nick made sure Luna fell asleep, before silently leaving, doing his best not to disturb her peaceful slumber.

With that, he made his way over to the nearest teleporter and entered the Beast Domain.

If he wanted to make his plans for the future a reality, he had to start early, and work twice as hard as anyone else.

He teleported into the Beast Domain, where he appeared in the large square at the centre of War Beast Sanctuary, where everyone would be teleported to when they entered.

For so reason that people didn’t understand, instead of appearing through the teleporter on the other side in the Beast Domain, people just appeared out of thin air in the middle of the square when they entered.

It was only when they exited that people would step through the teleporter like normal on the other side, in the Federation.

When entering and exiting the Beast Domain, people would be sent straight into the public square, which was quite chaotic in the early days of the discovery of the Beast Domain as people used this to their advantage and essentially ’spawn-camped’ people entering the Beast Domain, extorting them for whatever goods they had, or be hurt.

In so Sanctuaries, the situation was even more dire, as people would just be directly killed if they tried to resist or refused to hand over their Beast Armants or Beast cores.

Thankfully the Federation took control of things before it got too out of hand, and essentially created a special departnt that oversaw the Beast Domain. Only then did people beco confident enough to enter the Beast Domain without fear of being imdiately attacked.

Luckily for Nick, he was born far past those chaotic tis, so he never had to experience such a thing.

But his treatnt wasn’t far off from it...

"The Waste of Space is back! Haha, I didn’t expect him to have the courage to continue coming to this place! I’d have just given up on such a thing if I had a ability as useless as his."

While people weren’t able to physically hurt him, there was nothing stopping them from hurling verbal abuse his way, and many people took advantage of this.

The only reason Beast Slayer was able to get away with whacking him across the head the previous day was because he technically hadn’t stepped through the Sanctuary’s gates yet, so he wasn’t under the Federation’s protection...

Of course, people wouldn’t rob and kill right out in the open and so close to the Sanctuary like that, but that didn’t stop them from getting into small scuffles with each other like Beast Slayer had with Nick.

Nick was used to the abuse by now, so he simply ignored everyone and the people got bored from his lack of reactions after a while, so they left him alone.

’I’ve already consud as many White Ox beast cores as I could, so it’s ti to move on from them.’

Nick’s goal was no longer to find beasts as weak as the White Ox to hunt. This ti, although it was a risk, he wanted to go sowhere much more high-risk but had equally high rewards if he played his cards right.

Normally, the body of a Mundane beast like the White Ox would only sell for a couple hundred credits at most.

However, the value of Mundane beasts varied massively depending on demand, and the type of beast.

White Ox were only valued for their delicious at, while only when they beca Awakened beasts did their other body parts beco valuable enough to sell.

However, there were other territories of beasts surrounding War Beast Sanctuary with Mundane beasts of much higher value.

His goal this ti were the Sabertooth Wolves in the nearby Vaylan Forest. The forest stood a few dozen kilotres away from the Sanctuary, which was farther than Nick had ever gone before, or that he would have risked going.

But now, his strength was boosted by a small margin thanks to the Awakened Soul Seeds he had gained, however most of his confidence ca from his newly acquired Beast Armant.

The Sabertooth Wolves were known for their speed and ferocity, which was what made them so dangerous for weaker Altered like himself to encounter. But this was exactly the reason Nick had chosen them.

In exchange for their heightened speed, their strength and defence were subpar, which ant that if you could land a hit on them, your attacks dealt much more damage.

This was what Nick was hoping to take advantage of, and since he held an Awakened Beast Armant dagger, a single hit should be enough to kill a Sabertooth Wolf if he hit a vital area.

The only problem for him would be dodging the attacks of the Sabertooth Wolves themselves. But that was just sothing he was going to have to risk.

An upside was that unlike Ordinary wolves in the outside universe, these Sabertooth Wolves were lone hunters, so he would be hard pressed to encounter more than one at a ti.

This left him at ease, as if he encountered two or more Sabertooth Wolves at once...

The thought sent shivers through his body.

He didn’t even want to imagine such a scenario.

Of course, if he were lucky enough, he might even gain a Beast Armant of the Sabertooth Wolves!

That would really make his ti in the Beast Domain easier, as despite only being Mundane rank, they were one of the most desirable Beast Armants for people at the bottom of the food chain first starting out in the War Beast Sanctuary.

The Beast Armants dropped by Sabertooth Wolves were of the Augntation type, with this particular Beast Armant increasing the user’s speed to match that of a Sabertooth Wolf.

For soone with mostly Awakened Soul Seeds filling their Soul Sea, such an augnt would be minimal and not worth going through the effort of trying to buy one or hunt for one themselves.

But for soone like Nick, it would be a godsend!
