The starry night of Senegal was a magnificent view. Without pollution, accompanied by nature and the talks of the village behind them, they waited. Before night could completely fall, Kazi went around and double-checked that everyone was ready.

Eight Yumboes were at every player duo’s beckoning. In the north, Kibiwott in particular was eager to fight. His friend Remmy was by his side like a loyal brother. In the east, Jackson and Sylvia were arguing about combinations and their lack of. Apparently, Jackson’s timing whenever she sent out a spell was too slow for her liking. She thought he could be faster. Jackson yelled that he physically couldn’t. Great stuff.

As for the planners of the whole operation, Akihiko and Kenzo, they were ready at the south with their wands. From what he was able to catch from their training, wands made it simple to draw magic circles and therefore cast spells written in spellbooks. They were practicing up till the very last mont. Kazi caught a small glance of the magic circle written in their books. Super Fire Dart’s magic circle consisted of four concentric rings and a thick line across. The trick part was following the path. Without weeks of practice, it was difficult to pull off.

Kazi saw Akihiko pull it off once and shelved it into his well of knowledge. Maybe today he could test it out. Sarah and Emma were back-up in case the monsters penetrated any specific direction. He gave them a wave and a bit of advice before returning to his waiting party in the west: Couma, the Yumboes, and Pauline who held her wooden staff close to her chest. Kazi sent her a comforting smile. Pauline smiled weakly in turn. In the anti, he checked his new skills.

[ Infinity Pool

Subtype: Support

Cost: —

Rank: EX

An infinite pool of mana lies in the left eye of Kazi Hossain. Once Odin’s left eye, it has been drenched in a well of pure magic for an unknown amount of ti and thus been gifted divine properties worthy of a Supre God. ]

Kazi tapped his foot on the floor. These skills were all very powerful, except that he couldn’t seem to access so of them. Future Sight and Understanding of the All Father. Kazi had felt the latter’s influence in his mindscape. Before, his mind snapped mories information at a mont’s notice. ’Now it’s different. Now...’ He inhaled. ’Now I see a well of water every ti. It’s slower. I...I got dumber.’

He ran a hand through his hair. So features were locked, that was what it said. ’My IQ better return to when that happens. In the anti, I’ll make do with this increase of deftness.’

IQ for deftness...a fair trade. Maybe.

As for Future Sight...that skill required a hundred thousand MP. Yeah, that wasn’t feasible for the next hundred levels. Seeing the future, an ability granted to Supre Gods, of course it wouldn’t be easy to access.

He decided to switch to Amateur Player Class for the Quick Learner skill and the bonus 2% XP it offered. Not to ntion the chance to unlock the Interdiate Player Class. He had no idea what it took to get it but maybe it was ti-related.

He looked at Pauline and Couma, then the forest. He closed his eyes, then opened them up. He saw the future. He saw nothing but the dark woodlands in front of him. Trees that were sowhat barebone and spread apart. The grasshoppers made their classic sounds.

"Rember," Kazi told Pauline, "if any apes, the Fating’ho, co, then we should try talking first. Otherwise, obliterate them."

"Got it!" Couma and Pauline chorused.

There was a cry in the night. Then another. It was almost like the long whoop of a hyena. Pauline tensed up. More and more whoops pierced the stillness of the night. The Yumboes recognized this cry. So did Kazi.

A battle was nigh.
