Chapter 234: Chapter 230: Becoming One (Part 2)

"A Secret Martial Artist who has reached the Refining God Limit. After I kill you and refine you into a Puppet, it will make up for so of my losses.

Then, I will march on the Federation.

I’ll refine all of them into Puppets. Then, even when the great calamity arrives and Mother Earth appears, I might still have a chance of survival..."

A cold glint flashed in Thick Spider’s eyes.

This had been her plan all along. She just hadn’t been confident enough to take on those people before and was planning to wait a while longer.

But now, thanks to Hu Qi, she might be able to set her plan in motion ahead of schedule.

Suddenly, an even more imnse, vast, and powerful Power of the Heart erupted outward.

The Pseudo Domain it ford was even more powerful than before.

Everything seed to freeze in place.

Even the approaching tide of lightning slowed to a crawl. The flicker of every arc of electricity beca agonizingly sluggish.

The arcs of electricity, like slender silver snakes, writhed and stretched slowly through the air, their every subtle bend and turn clearly visible.

Hu Qi’s expression was unreadable, cast in the flickering light of the lightning.

"I gave you a chance. You were the one who didn’t take it. Now you can’t bla

for what happens next!"

Hu Qi said coolly, his expression impassive.

An ordinary expert at the Refining God Limit, however powerful, wouldn’t be this terrifying.

But Hu Qi was different. With the help of the crimson panel, the Three-Eyed Primordial Snake Spirit Devouring Map he cultivated had integrated more than a hundred Inheritance Secret Martial Arts.

The quality of this Inheritance Secret Martial Arts had long ago reached an unbelievable level.

Its enhancent of a Secret Martial Artist’s every aspect was nearly perfect.

Combined with his Three-Eyed Primordial Snake Bloodline and the augntation from his Taiyin Life Map...

...his power had reached an unimaginable level.

Even a true Secret Martial Artist at the Refining God Limit would be soone he could swat down effortlessly, to say nothing of these half-assed Refined God Puppets.

He looked at the figure of the burly man, close enough to touch and almost completely frozen.

Hu Qi raised a hand and threw a punch.

The punch was completely unadorned, yet the burly Puppet before him, which had reached the level of Refining God, suddenly exploded like a balloon.

In the next instant, his figure flashed, and the Sea Demon Food Master Puppet, whose strength was at the Divine Image Realm, also burst apart, shattering into pieces.

It was swept up by his Gorging Domain and vanished without a trace.

Hu Qi, however, frowned slightly.

Like the last one, these two Puppets provided him with no Modification Points, and he gained very little energy from devouring them.

’But that made sense. Who knew how many years these Puppets had been dead? Their "at" was long past its expiration date; of course there was no nutritional value left.’

Nearby.

Thick Spider choked, her face turning red as she spat out a mouthful of blood.

In the blink of an eye.

The two Puppets psychically linked to her were destroyed. Compounded by the fact that her previous injuries had not yet fully healed...

...she was left grievously wounded.

Her expression changed drastically when she saw Hu Qi’s gaze fall upon her.

Alarm bells scread in her mind. She knew that if this continued, death was the only outco.

Her expression imdiately turned fierce.

"Celestial Silk! Bind him!"

In the next mont, a shocking scene unfolded.

Her body exploded without warning. However, the grueso scene of flesh and blood spattering everywhere that one might expect never occurred.

Instead, the exploded flesh and blood instantly twisted and transford, as if manipulated by so mysterious force.

It condensed into countless threads, each appearing as if woven from a rainbow.

The seven-colored threads seed completely unaffected by Hu Qi’s Pseudo Domain, materializing like spiritual snakes.

They spread out at an astonishing speed.

In the blink of an eye, they were already wrapped around Hu Qi’s body.

More and more threads wound around him, pulling tighter and tighter, like innurable tough ropes, binding Hu Qi completely.

As the threads continued to wind around him, Hu Qi was quickly enveloped in a massive cocoon.

The surface of the cocoon shimred with an eerie, seven-colored light.

"I have to admit, your power truly exceeded my expectations.

Too bad it’s all about to beco mine!"

Thick Spider’s venomous and mocking voice echoed from all directions.

The next mont, the threads actually began to burrow into Hu Qi’s body.

Simultaneously, within the vast space of Hu Qi’s Celestial Heart Divine Treasure...

...countless seven-colored threads appeared.

They swiftly twisted and interlinked, taking the form of Thick Spider.

The instant she appeared, her gaze fell upon the figure in the very center of the space—a handso young man, as perfect as a Divine Spirit.

A greedy look crossed her face.

"Let’s beco one!"

This was one of the Divine Techniques she had awakened after cultivating her Earth God Hall’s Inheritance Secret Martial Arts to the level of Refining God—Celestial Silk.

Its Ability was to condense and control threads called Celestial Silk, which could enter another’s body and take control by force.

This was different from possession; Celestial Silk was like the strings controlling a puppet, not the act of becoming the puppet itself.

However, given Hu Qi’s imnse power, Thick Spider had been forced to go all out, detonating her own body to transform into Celestial Silk and invade his.

If she succeeded, she would rge with Hu Qi, becoming one with him—a different kind of possession.

Hu Qi opened his eyes and looked at Thick Spider.

There was no fear in his eyes. Instead, he looked at her as if she were a fool.

Thick Spider’s heart skipped a beat, and a sense of foreboding washed over her.

However, the arrow was already nocked; she had no choice but to let it fly. There was no more ti for hesitation.

Her figure blurred, transforming back into a sky-blotting tide of seven-colored threads that rushed toward Hu Qi from all directions.

Hu Qi watched the surging seven-colored threads without moving. He simply opened his mouth and spoke two words.

"Spirit Devouring!"

ROAR!!!

A deafening serpentine cry suddenly rang out, a sound that seed powerful enough to tear space asunder and make the entire dinsion tremble.

The next mont, a colossal, dark-red serpent’s shadow slowly materialized.

The serpent’s shadow seed like a monstrous beast from the Primordial Chaos, exuding a terrifying, heart-stopping aura.

Its body coiled and writhed like a great mountain range, covering a vast expanse of the space.

The dark-red scales on the serpent’s body glinted with an eerie light.

Then, the serpent’s shadow opened its maw, and a terrifying suction force instantly burst forth.

The force was like a giant whirlpool, frantically pulling in everything around it.

Just as the encroaching seven-colored threads were about to touch Hu Qi’s Divine Soul, they were t with this imnse power and, completely unable to resist, were swept into it.

Like fallen leaves caught in a storm, the seven-colored threads were pulled irresistibly toward the serpent shadow’s mouth.

"Ah! What... what is this damn thing?! You... you can’t kill... If you kill ... you’ll never get the... the inheritance of the Earth God Hall! I’m willing to... I beg you... No... May you die a horrible death!"

A mass of seven-colored threads twisted to form Thick Spider’s face. It looked like the terrified face of a drowning person trying to break the surface of the water.

She tried to escape, but one end of her body, ford from the seven-colored threads, had already entered the giant serpent’s mouth. Her struggles were futile.

No matter how she struggled, begged, or cursed, she could not escape the terrifying suction.

The serpent shadow’s mouth was like an endless black hole. In an instant, it had swallowed all the seven-colored threads.

As the seven-colored threads vanished, Thick Spider’s voice fell completely silent.

The surrounding space gradually returned to calm.

The massive, dark-red serpent shadow also gradually faded, eventually disappearing completely.

Only Hu Qi’s Divine Soul remained, sitting cross-legged where it had been.
