Chapter 224: Chapter 220: Divine Aspect

「Outside.」

Hu Qi opened his eyes, a blood-gold light flickering in their depths before vanishing.

Imdiately after, a blood-gold radiance—invisible to the naked eye and perceptible only through the Power of the Heart—enveloped the space in a one-kiloter radius.

In that instant, it was as if a pause button had been pressed on this entire space. Even the wind seed to stand still.

And that was exactly what had happened.

"So this is it," Hu Qi murmured. "The Pseudo Domain of the Divine Image Realm."

He looked to the side and saw a verdant pine tree with twisting branches growing from a crevice in the rock face.

He could clearly sense the tree giving off a crisp, slightly pungent fragrance mingled with the scent of resin.

He wasn’t slling this with his nose, but rather sensing it through the Power of the Heart.

Typically, a living creature perceives the outside world through five primary senses: sll, sight, hearing, touch, and taste.

However, the ergence of the Power of the Heart was like adding a brand new ’organ’ for perceiving the outside world.

It not only possessed all the abilities of the five senses but was also far more acute.

It even allowed him to perceive things at the molecular level.

But now, things seed to be a little different.

At that thought, the pine tree enveloped by Hu Qi’s Power of the Heart suddenly began to change.

The trunk swelled as if it were being pumped full of air.

It visibly thickened into a massive pillar, and its gnarled roots spread out with a series of crisp CRACKS.

The grayish-brown rocks on either side were squeezed so hard that several cracks appeared on their surface.

anwhile, the pine needles shifted in color from vibrant green to a dull, purplish-red.

Then, as if they had gained a life of their own, they began to intertwine and weave together, finally transforming into vines that dangled down.

Then, a black, tallic sheen began to coat the surface of the purplish-red vines.

The vines seed alive, extending and bending freely like agile tentacles. As they writhed, they transford into whips as hard as steel yet as soft as cotton.

They lashed out against the surrounding rock face, leaving clear marks with every strike.

As ti passed, the appearance of the original pine tree constantly changed, like a piece of modeling clay being kneaded into different shapes.

PUFF!

A dozen or so seconds later, after it had transford into a bizarre, bottle-shaped tree several ters in diater, a CRACK echoed from within its trunk. It then exploded, scattering into fragnts that rained down on the ground.

Hu Qi reached out, pulling a wood chip into his hand. A strange light glinted in his eyes.

The pine tree’s strange transformation was, of course, his own doing.

Ever since he had stepped into the Divine Image Realm, his Power of the Heart had undergone another tamorphosis.

Before, his Power of the Heart was primarily a tool for detection. He could observe molecules, but he couldn’t interfere with them.

But now it was different.

His Power of the Heart could now interfere with motion on a molecular level, even compelling molecules to rearrange and recombine.

That pine tree had undergone such a bizarre transformation because Hu Qi had casually rearranged the molecules within its trunk.

It finally exploded because its primary molecular structures, such as its wood fibers, had fractured and collapsed.

This was the so-called Pseudo Domain.

It involved using one’s Martial Arts Will to direct the Power of the Heart, thereby indirectly controlling the ubiquitous molecules in the environnt to form a special type of Domain.

As for why it was called a Pseudo Domain instead of a true Domain, Hu Qi had no idea.

However, he had a few theories.

Perhaps it was because sothing was missing.

Things like a further evolution of the Power of the Heart, or the empowernt from a Life Map.

As he was pondering this, two streaks of Flowing Light shot across the distant horizon, moving as fast as lightning. In the blink of an eye, they arrived before the mountain peak where Hu Qi was located.

Within the two streaks of Flowing Light were two figures cloaked in black robes.

They were two Food Masters.

The intense fluctuations of Heaven and Earth Primordial Energy in this area had naturally been detected by the pair, who happened to be the closest.

"This must be the place!"

The two exchanged a look.

To avoid a repeat of what happened to Leng Ji and Sha Kong—who were defeated after encountering a lone Refining God Venerable—the remaining Food Masters had taken Shu Ming’s suggestion to travel in pairs or small groups.

Relying on their powerful vision, the Food Masters quickly spotted a figure sitting on a massive rock on the cliff’s edge.

"Looks like it’s our lucky day! Let’s take him down, and we’ll split him fifty-fifty!"

Seeing this, greed and savage grins filled their eyes. Black mist swirled around them as they shot straight toward Hu Qi’s location.

Lately, they had gained the upper hand in their efforts to surround and eliminate Lei Bao, Wang Jing, and the others. This had inflated the Food Masters’ arrogance, making them feel that the Refining God Venerables weren’t all that impressive.

Now that they had finally run into one that was alone, they naturally attacked without the slightest hesitation.

However, in the next instant, the figure of Hu Qi, who had been sitting cross-legged on the cliff’s edge, suddenly looked up at them.

Before the two Food Masters could even react, they found to their astonishnt that their bodies were frozen in mid-air, unable to move an inch.

Imdiately after, their vision went black, and they lost all consciousness.

The two Food Masters died just like that, without even knowing what had happened.

Although the two Food Masters were only as strong as Refining God Venerables at the Self-Phase Realm, a Food Master was still a Food Master. The very essence of their life set them apart; they were no ordinary small fry.

And yet, they were completely powerless to resist Hu Qi.

Hu Qi stood his ground and let out a satisfied burp.

The fad Recovery Power of the Food Masters was nothing before the Pseudo Domain of the Divine Image Realm.

Using the Power of the Heart, he could directly break down their internal molecular structure, killing them instantly and completely.

When his Pseudo Domain was stacked with his Gorging Realm, the resulting power was terrifying.

The two Food Masters had been utterly powerless to resist as he devoured them completely.

Once they were fully digested, Hu Qi stood up, a smile touching his eyes.

"The real hunt is only just beginning!"

...

The clouds hung low and the light was dim. The land below was a withered, blackened yellow, as if every last scrap of its Vitality had been drained away, leaving not a single blade of green vegetation.

The somber landscape seed to be stained by an endless black mist, devoid of any bright color.

「The Valley of the Earth Abyss.」

Other than the Food Masters, no living creature would ever dare approach this place.

However, today was different.

Above the fissure of the Valley of the Earth Abyss, a figure in a black robe appeared.

He stood high above, looking down. A faint red glow seeped up from the chasm, accompanied by waves of scorching heat.

"So this is the place?" the figure, Hu Qi, whispered softly.

Over the past few days, while hunting Food Masters, he had also taken the opportunity to survey the other regions.

In his current state, he felt no need for restraint, sweeping his Power of the Heart across the land.

After a few days, he had managed to get a clear picture of almost every region in the Inner Earth World.

Unfortunately, he hadn’t discovered the location of a Spirit Realm Sea Eye anywhere.

However, when he recalled the mories he had taken from the Food Masters about this place, a strange glint appeared in his eyes.

If there was any place that could possibly have a Spirit Realm Sea Eye, then it could only be this Valley of the Earth Abyss.

As the place where Mother Earth slumbered, no living creature dared draw near.

Even the Food Masters only lingered at the outermost edges, not daring to venture too deep within.

Hu Qi gazed deep into the chasm below.

Within the deep fissure, scorching magma churned, radiating a suffocating heat.

And though his Power of the Heart couldn’t penetrate the magma below, he could still faintly perceive a massive, curled-up shadow in its very depths.

It was like a blob of ink too thick to be diluted, radiating a purely sinister, cold aura.

Its outline was blurry and indistinct, yet it seed to have countless twisted tentacles slowly writhing.

If he wasn’t mistaken, that was the slumbering Mother Earth, resting deep within the Earth Core.

Even with his current power, sensing this made Hu Qi’s heart throb with a faint sense of dread.

Clearly, Mother Earth’s power was far beyond what he could currently face.

Fortunately, she seed to be still slumbering and had not yet awoken.

Realizing this, Hu Qi didn’t linger. He imdiately turned to leave.

However, he hadn’t taken more than two steps before he froze.

All at once, several figures with powerful auras appeared, surrounding him.
