The two won knew that when Tang Hehua just got married, the young couple would go back to her parents’ ho to ask for support from her father and brothers whenever they quarreled. Consequently, Second Brother Lin would have to go to his father-in-law’s ho to be taught a lesson and bring his wife back. After a long ti, he beca controlled by her and started to just follow her every word. As long as she ever brought up the chance to go back to her parents’ ho to complain, he would kneel down imdiately. But it wasn’t like she didn’t want to keep living with him nor did she want a divorce, so using the sa excuse for every single thing was getting uncreative.
And Eldest Sister-in-law Lin knew Tang Hehua’s character pretty well. Hence, she tried not to get involved with her on a daily basis, so as not to be complained or bullied by her later. Currently, she stayed away from her even more.
Old Lady Lin thought that her daughter beat her son’s wife because of the matter of the report from her family. Before, Lin Lan had asked her to stay silent on it, but now that her third daughter and her second daughter-in-law had resorted to physical fights, it probably couldn’t be suppressed any longer.

She gave her daughter a punch, “You— as an elder sister, you don’t seem to act that way at all. Was your husband’s family not enough for you to flaunt around? You want to go back to your parents’ ho to stir trouble? Do you perhaps want to be the head of our family?”
This was also part of the old lady’s routine. When her son and daughter-in-law quarrelled, she scolded her son, but when her son-in-law and daughters made a fuss, she scolded her daughter. After all, as long as her kids didn’t hold a grudge against her, things would be okay after they talked about it in private, but the sa couldn’t be said for the younger in-laws.
If she even looked at them the wrong way, the younger would say that the mother-in-law was giving her a cold eye. If it’s even more obvious, she would even go back to her parents’ ho and cry about being bullied. Even if the in-laws didn’t truly start to knock on their doors, it wasn’t a good sight to see either.
Lin i knew what her mother ant, but she didn’t obey her. She shouted, “Why did you hit , mom? Do you even know why? Do you know who is right and who is wrong before you hit ?”
Old Lady Lin felt a bit embarrassed being contradicted by her daughter in public. She pretended to be angry and said, “It’s wrong to hit soone, no matter who is in the right or in the wrong. Do you not have any morals, fighting in the streets especially? Aren’t you ashad?”
Lin i, “Then why are you not saying that she deserves a beating too?”
Old Lady Lin’s face turned pale and red, but she still kept her voice low, “It’s her, I know she is the one in the wrong. So, we should go ho and teach her, talk to her nicely. How can there be a sister like you who slaps her brother’s wife on the street? Now that the neighbours have seen such an outrageous thing, they’re going to think that we bully our in-laws. To have rumours like that spread out is bad, isn’t it? You’d be implicated too, after all.”
