Han Qingsong, “…” Instead of saying that he didn’t know how to do it, he nodded and agreed, “Leave it there, I’ll take a look.”
Sanwang was very excited and wanted to cook it right away.
Lin Lan saw the children surrounding the snake, so she urged them to wash up and go to bed. In fact, that was because she didn’t want Han Qingsong scaring them off when he peeled the skin off the snake.
Erwang was trying to look for a recipe, but he didn’t find out how to cook snake at, so he headed to bed with so lingering regret.
Han Qingsong studied the corpse briefly before neatly finishing his task.
After washing, cleaning and chopping it, Han Qingsong sprinkled the at with so salt. Then, he pickled it with pepper, onion, ginger and so on.
He asked Lin Lan about the ti, put the snake and seasonings in a casserole before he threw in a handful of red dates and poured so water into the pot. Then, he went to the wall of the yard to build a simple stove— he first used so soft grass to light the fire before throwing in corn cobs and other hard grass into it. He also buried a few pieces of charcoal in the mix before finally putting the casserole on the brick stove and boiled it on high heat. When the grass was burned, the fire started to burn the charcoal. The ventilation here wasn’t able to completely diminish the sll of the charcoal fire, but it wasn’t too big of a blaze anyways, so there was no problem.
Lin Lan was reading on the kang, but when she heard him busying himself, she couldn’t help but co down to take a look, “Third Brother, why are you stewing it?”
Han Qingsong, “This thing is disgusting, so I would rather help you do it.”
Lin Lan actually disliked earthworms, centipedes and other mollusks, having so form of inexplicable fear towards them. Hearing that he was so considerate, she happily hooked herself onto his neck and kissed him, “Third Brother is great.”
Although Han Qingsong was reserved and serious in front of others, he couldn’t stand her teasing at all. Just with a wink of hers, he automatically assud that she was hinting at wanting sothing, let alone a full kiss.
He washed his hands by using green onion leaves to remove the fishy sll and went to take a shower. When he ca back to the kang, he embraced Lin Lan in his arms.
Lin Lan yawned while reading, “Third Brother, if we stew it now, wouldn’t it dry up overnight?”
Han Qingsong, “No it won’t,” Stewing until midnight would be the perfect timing.
Lin Lan began to look forward to it again, “An hour would probably be enough to cook the at. But, it will be fragrant and delicious in about 2 hours.”
While she was looking forward to the delicious snake at casserole, she had beco a delicacy in his eyes.
She really had ignored him these days, making him incredibly sick and even jealous of the books. He took them out of her hands and threw them on the windowsill before pressing her into his arms and making her dizzy.
He liked her snow-white skin to be kissed by him until it turned pink like rose petals. Her eyes were also soft and charming, like water from the springs in March.
“Blow out the lights…” Her voice was so soft and weak that it made his heart lt.
“…No,” His heated lips landed on the familiarly sensitive spot, causing her to tremble.
