Chapter 51: Olivia’s past.

After so ti, she felt normal and no longer felt awkward with Emily. They started to speak normally.

Emily looked at Olivia and asked many pregnancy tips. Even though Olivia was not an OBGYN, she was a doctor and had more overall knowledge than normal people.

Olivia listed so dos and don’ts. While Lucy also joined the conversation and gave so advice to Emily.

While Jack watched them from afar for so ti, he then started to walk towards them and sat opposite the three of them.

Then he gave a stern look at Olivia and said,

"Looks like our doctor Olivia has returned to her usual self. Now can you tell

what the problem was with you yesterday?"

Olivia suddenly felt awkward being questioned like this. She looked at Jack, who was questioning her very seriously with authority, as if they were very close to each other.

She didn’t reply to him imdiately and was lost in her own thoughts.

Seeing that she was still staying silent without answering him, he didn’t stop.

"If we had arrived any later, or not arrived at all, you know what would have happened to you. It’s your luck that you are still alive now."

She also knew that if they hadn’t co at that ti, she would not have lived to see the next day.

After so thought, she finally decided to share the burden she had been carrying in her heart for many years and started to explain her situation.

"On the outside, it looked like I’m the daughter of a rich man. I was lucky and had everything.

But nobody knows the sufferings I went through. Until my mother was alive, everything was okay. After she died, in the next few years, my father brought a new mistress into the house. She was carrying his child at that ti.

Because of this, there was a huge fight between

and my father. Later, his mistress bore him a son. The wedge between us only increased more.

He started to believe everything the mistress said.

I faced many sches and traps set up by her in my own ho. My father and I fought daily. After that, I stopped staying at ho and went to study dicine and beco a doctor.

Even though I got many good job offers in the capital, I still couldn’t forget the old days and decided to work in my father’s hospital. After a long ti, my relationship with my father started to nd again. But I was once again sched against by that mistress.

My only mistake was that I shouldn’t have returned. I should have completely cut ties with them and lived separately sowhere else.

That mistress was setting up all kinds of troubleso marriages and dates for . She started to manipulate my father once again. They were planning to make this a business marriage, an alliance between rich families.

You know what kind of unhappy life I would lead due to this marriage. If the candidate is good, that’s okay.

With my father’s mistress there, do you think she would help

find a good partner? They were basically selling

for their business. At first, my father resisted this idea sowhat. Later, he was still brainwashed by that woman.

I didn’t believe the saying that won are more manipulative than n until I witnessed how scheming my stepmother was.

Due to that pressure and stress, I forgot to take the dicine for more than a week. Because of the side effects, that situation happened."

What she didn’t ntion to them was that it was intentional that she stopped taking the dicine. After all the health issues and suffering she faced in her childhood, she survived everything due to the love from her parents.

Now her mother was already dead, and her father had stopped loving her and was forcing marriages on her for his own profit with the advice of his mistress.

The hope and love that made her survive until now were already gone. That’s why she decided to stop taking the dicine and leave everything to nature’s course. If death ca because of it, she decided to accept it with open arms.

After Jack heard her past, he also felt that she lied about forgetting to take her dicine.

She had been taking that dicine all her life—how could she forget to take it for a week? So, she had decided to end her own life like this.

Once again, an unknown anger started to boil inside his heart. It was more intense than when Emily faced the trap, because that situation was stopped before anything happened. Emily didn’t suffer anything.

Jack knew in his mind what this was—a side effect of his ability. After using this ability for a long ti, he couldn’t separate whether it was his own thinking or the influence of his ability.

He stood up from his seat and went near Olivia, who was sitting between Emily and Lucy, and helped her stand up. He looked straight into her eyes.

He asked once again in a firm and serious tone,

"Do you want

to solve this problem for you?"

This ti, Olivia didn’t hesitate or think further. She just nodded and gave him the signal he wanted.

"Then there is a condition for that. If you accept that condition, then I will deal with your father and his mistress for you."

Olivia suddenly heard him ntion a condition and looked at him with a confused expression.

Jack didn’t stop. He continued speaking and stated his condition.

"There is only one condition, so you don’t have to worry. What you need to do is very simple—beco my woman.

If you beco my woman, he went near her ears and whispered lightly, I have a way to cure your illness completely. So decide it yourself."

After she heard his condition, she was shocked inside, but there was no rejection in her mind about becoming his woman because she already had a good impression of him from the start. But when she heard his next sentence,

She beca even more shocked and looked at the person before her in awe.

Because there was no cure for this disease, and her life expectancy was very low. This was also one of the reasons she decided to end her life.

In her heart, the long-lost hope was once again rekindled by his words.
