The Buddhist furrowed his brow, puzzled as to why the monk in black was laughing, but still patiently explained.
"Brother, you are mistaken, it’s not that you can’t do it, it’s that the Black Lotus is unwilling!"
"I see Tathagata trapped in illusion."
"I see Bo Xun finding the true self."
"Tearing apart the old shackles of the past."
"Only today do I know that I am ."
"Elder Uncle Master possessed a spirit of self-sacrifice for others, I have a heart of sacrificing others for myself. Elder Uncle Master sought benevolence and gained it, and ascended to paradise early. My True Law has reached perfection, and I have proved the indestructible body of Bo Xun. In achieving both, what guilt should my heart hold?"
"You!" The Buddhist’s face showed anger but was interrupted by the monk in black again.
"Brother, Tian Buddha once said, ’Life is a sea of suffering, mainly because we do not keep the Eight Precepts.’
"If we don’t keep the Eight Precepts, we suffer the Eight Distresses."
"Birth, aging, sickness, death, separation from love, endless resentnt, desires unfulfilled, the inability to let go, and the blazing of the five aggregates!"
"Such words are just nonsense to !"
The monk in black spoke fiercely and suddenly rose from his cushion, a purple-black network of veins becoming visible on his neck.
"To draw a line for oneself and then restrict oneself from crossing it, is there anything more foolish in this world?"
"Without killing, hatred never ends!"
"Without stealing, what difference is there between the strong and the weak like !"
"Without sexual misconduct, all sentient beings are bound to karma!"
"Without coveting alcohol, worries and fears fluctuate and are impermanent!"
"Without lying, all is but a hollow dream, an illusory bubble!"
"Without indulgence in pleasure, beauty is but a fleeting mont!"
"Without greed for sleep, one is tornted and cannot find release!"
"Without indulging desires, all actions lose their zest for life!"
"Brother, if you and I join forces, we can sweep the world, take what we want, and gather the power of the Human Realm. Let us aim beyond True Monarch and vie for dominion over the four realms. Wouldn’t that be magnificent!"
"At that ti, brother can be called Buddha Ancestor and I, too, will sit upon the Lotus Platform, magnifying the na of our Reincarnation Temple and accomplishing the great feats that the ancestors of old failed to achieve. How about it?"
The voice of the monk in black seed to carry an exceedingly strange power of temptation. Just hearing this shadow of an image that had traversed countless years, Yi Chen still felt his blood boil. At this mont, the clarity within his sea of consciousness had hit its peak, as he tried his utmost to resist the power of temptation.
As a sense of coolness rippled through his sea of consciousness, Yi Chen felt as though doused in a cold spring. The boiling of his blood instantly subsided, and a coldness rushed from the base of his spine to the crown of his head.
"Shit, a pyramid sche leader."
"To think that soone’s re speech could stir in a heart of following, this person is terrifying to the extre."
Yi Chen had thought his own ability to persuade was fast approaching a point where he could deceive both the living and the dead, yet soone proved even more formidable than him,
He understood a bit why this image was attached to the ’Great Sun God Fla Purifying World Sutra’. Those with lesser cultivation and weaker resolve, under that sinister power of temptation, would likely fall into that set of fallacious rhetoric and beco fervent followers of this person.
The scene continued to unfold.
Alongside the enthralling voice of the monk in black, a strange black lotus suddenly appeared beneath his feet. His aura began to skyrocket wildly, and for a mont, even the image within the great hall wavered like water ripples, becoming indistinct, with voices trailing off into the distance.
"Such a land as this is a Buddha-land, not worth keeping!"
"Junior brother, such a Reincarnation Temple, that’s not the Buddha!"
"I didn’t expect junior brother to have cultivated Bo Xun’s flesh to such a realm; now that the demonic poison has entered your body, elder brother cannot save you." With the ergence of the Black Lotus Dharma Aspect, the Buddhist turned pale with shock and fear.
"Haha, elder brother, it’s too late. There are countless forms of Buddha, why be shocked? Just let rge with the many monks of the Reincarnation Temple. Elder Uncle Master’s lifelong wish was to magnify the Reincarnation Temple, with Buddha’s light shining over the five realms. Let , Black Lotus, fulfill this great feat," the monk in black declared.
In the scene, the Black Lotus descended. The imnse black lotus suddenly covered all the temples of the Reincarnation Temple, blocking out the sky’s light. The sky dimd instantly, and at the sa ti, nurous radiances soared to the sky, with sounds of alarm, murmurs, and Buddhist chants intermingling.
"Stop him!"
The Heavenly Dragon beneath the Buddhist roared angrily.
At this mont, the scene violently fluctuated, and in the final flicker of the hall’s image, Yi Chen broke out in a cold sweat, his hair standing on end as he saw the monk in black suddenly turn his head, as if sensing sothing, and stare directly at him with a sinister smile.

"Fuck, how creepy can you get?"
"What kind of cultivation is this, that a re thought has an echo, and just by looking at the back of this monk in black for a while, such an anomaly occurs."
"This must be a realm only a Dao Mastery True Monarch can touch. Damn, perhaps not even a cultivator who has just entered the Dao Mastery Realm possesses such might."
Swarms of speculations suddenly erged in Yi Chen’s mind. If his guess was not wrong, this image was most likely left by the silver Heavenly Dragon that died above the great hall, using so mysterious sorcery to encase a thought within the sutra and lodge it there.
The protective forces above this great hall must have been exceedingly powerful in the past, but without maintenance and the erosion of tens of thousands of years, the many potent thods had also gradually lost their efficacy. This allowed him to take advantage today, acquiring the myriad treasures of the Bai Zhen Pavilion so easily.
Yi Chen cast a sympathetic glance at the nurous skeletons in the great hall.
"Predecessors, the early bird gets eaten by the bird; it must be my deep good fortune," he thought.
So had risen early only to arrive late, losing their lives in the process, while others, like him, struck it rich.
Unfortunately, the storage rings on the bodies of the predecessors on the ground had been taken by others earlier; otherwise, he could have looted even more.
Fortunately, Yi Chen had a kind heart and instantly scattered more than a dozen golden flas upon the skeletons in the great hall, incinerating them.
