Chapter 247: Chapter 179: The Bloody Scene That Shocked Everyone (Two in One)_3

Even in a collective prison like this, similar noises should be expected.

Yet at this very mont, even as everyone approached so near, there was still not the slightest sound from within.

Apart from a few conversations, it seed as quiet as a pin drop.

This was not a good sign.

For a mont, Eleanor, following closely behind Ivyst, turned pale.

“My brother… he won’t be in trouble, will he?”

The siblings had only just reunited before he was taken to prison, and now his life or death was unclear.

She felt utterly helpless.

Even Aphia, resting on her shoulder, revealed a flash of concern, licking the young girl’s cheek.

Glaya stepped forward and reassuringly said, “Don’t worry, your brother is an odd one, nothing bad happens to him.”

Hearing this, Fourth Prince Joshua, walking alongside Councilman Blake, suddenly let out a smile, “That might not be the case.”

Eleanor imdiately turned to look at him with tearful eyes.

Towards this man, her heart held both fear and hatred, stepping forward as if to curse her brother.

Sensing her thoughts, Fourth Prince Joshua smiled faintly and shook his head, “It seems, you don’t understand the nature of this place.”

After saying this, he turned into a man of riddles, saying no more.

It was the Great Imperial Princess Hillena who hesitated for a mont before explaining, “Punisher Prison is a very special place, which can be regarded in its entirety as a High-Sequence Sealed Item.”

“Once inside this prison, if your Rank does not surpass its threshold, your Extraordinary Ability will be invisibly banned.”

In other words, if one did not have a straightforward and brute way of breaking in like Ivyst, even a Fifth Rank Legend confined here would honestly beco an ordinary mortal.

If a Fifth Rank Legend was subject to this, what about Lynn?

That is to say, if sothing unspeakable indeed happened inside, and Lynn, without any Extraordinary Powers to depend on, would be left with only his physical body to fight.

In everyone’s mory, he had just beco a Transcendent again, following the path of “Holy Knowledge,” like Milani, a research-type Transcendent.

Other than being able to enhance thought and mory, it seed at lower Ranks he did not have the power to strengthen his body.

Additionally, when entering the prison, all Extraordinary Items and Sealed Objects on his person had been confiscated.

Thus, the situation seed to have beco sowhat dire.

Witnessing this, a flicker of excitent passed through Fourth Prince Joshua’s eyes.

Though he did not know who orchestrated this, there was no doubt it was helping him eliminate a dire threat.

Ever since that night, Joshua’s sleep had been haunted by the vision of the young man defying the majesty of the throne, publicly killing Eunice, before waking with a start.

The whole affair seed to beco a nightmare in his heart, lingering persistently.

And now there was hope to see Lynn die in his prison cell, how could he not feel excited?

The idea of bare-handedly beating more than thirty n was far too fantastical, unrealistic.

Not just him, the others also harbored pessimistic thoughts.

If one could use Extraordinary Power to strengthen the body, there might be a chance.

But this was Punisher Prison.

Apart from praying that nothing had actually happened, people did not know what else to do.

Eleanor was on the verge of tears, gently reaching out to grasp the sleeve of Ivyst.

Glaya and the others behind her appeared to be on high alert, evidently very tense.

And at the back of the crowd, Tiya unconsciously stood on tiptoes, her slender hands unwittingly twisting together forcefully, as if trying to see clearly what happened inside the mont the door opened.

Suddenly, everyone’s gaze focused on the aged substitute punisher.

He lay trembling on the ground, clenching his teeth as if he refused to say anything.

Seeing this, a touch of madness and coldness surfaced in Ivyst’s eyes.

Threads of red light blood in the palm of her hand.

“Your Highness, please remain calm.”

It was at this mont that the hitherto silent Councilman Blake suddenly spoke up.

In an instant, Ivyst glared back at him like a lioness protecting her cub, her gaze fierce and brutal.

“Choosing to stand out at this ti, may I interpret that as the Cortes Family siding with the mastermind behind this incident?”

She asked with an icy voice.

It seed as if she would strike the mont the answer was “yes.”

Councilman Blake’s expression remained calm, “If the Cortes Family wanted revenge, they would not resort to such underhanded tactics.”

“Besides, no matter how things have developed, what was to happen has already happened overnight.”

“In that case, why not let him open the door first?”

“After which, whether his actions conform to the regulations and whether the Punisher has been bribed will be thoroughly investigated to ensure justice for all.”

“…”

Ivyst took a deep breath, suppressing the restlessness and killing intent in her heart.

She simply could not imagine what she would beco if sothing had indeed happened to Lynn.

It was all her fault.

Why had she agreed to let the substitute Punisher take him away, just as he wished?

If she had been more resolute at the ti, could this have been avoided?

The atmosphere turned icy and silent for a mont.

Under everyone’s watchful eyes, the elderly substitute Punisher shakily rose to his feet, sweating profusely, and took out the key.

“Click!”

With the heavy locks unlocked, the prison door slowly opened.

The first thing that hit them was an overpowering, almost tangible stench of blood.

“?!”

A jolt of shock ran through everyone.

What kind of cruelty had happened to produce such an intense sll of blood?!

Tears instantly filled Eleanor’s eyes.

Yet, the next second, a scene that could be described as a shocking reversal appeared before their eyes.

At this mont, the walls and floor of the entire prison were covered with blood, much of which had dried over ti.

But that was not the focal point.

As far as the eye could see, innurable bodies lay twisted and horrific, discarded on the ground like trash, piling up into a small hill.

Atop the mountain of corpses and sea of blood, a young man with his torso bare leaned against the wall, his hands behind his head, gazing at the ceiling, lost in thought.

Hearing the commotion at the door, he finally snapped back to reality.

Upon seeing the dense crowd before him, with eyes full of shock and complexity, he montarily froze and then instinctively raised his hand in greeting.

“Good morning.”

(ps: The big reveal is coming!)
