Is this dical family really so capricious?

How could they so casually do sothing so audacious?

Are they sure it’s because they don’t like winter’s desolation, rather than for the convenience of gathering herbs?

After all, for a dical family, an endless supply of herbs is especially important.

The car continued forward, the mountain road increasingly smooth, and gradually, a series of vine-covered pointed-roof houses appeared in Su Ge’s sight.

Su Ge was sure he had completely entered the territory of the Ye Family.

The people living in these houses should all be from the Ye Family.

It had long been rumored that the Ye Family had, over a thousand years, beco a vast ancient clan system; now it seems that it is indeed an exceptionally large family.

The car slowly moved across the cobblestone-paved road, occasionally drawing the attention of onlookers.

"Is that the Young Master’s car? Has the Young Master returned?"

Perhaps because they live permanently in the deep mountains, these people dress very simply, mostly wearing plain clothes, with at most so exquisite embroidery on them.

There are no multicolored clothes or strange makeup; the n here mostly appear honest and sincere, and the won wear no makeup, though young people may have a little light makeup, but they all look very clean and fresh.

"Is the Young Master back?"

"Is the Young Master in the car?"

Excited voices occasionally ca from outside.

Su Ge turned his head, puzzled, towards Ye Mubai, "Professor, have you not returned for a long ti?"

Why are they so excited about his return?

"Yes." Ye Mubai responded lightly.

An unexpected glint flashed in Su Ge’s eyes, but he didn’t continue to ask questions.

The car continued driving forward, and slowly, a luxurious building resembling a castle ca into view.

The architectural style was dark, with even the flowers twining around the pointed roof being black, that kind of black was very deep and eerie, occasionally birds perched there lanting.

This... couldn’t be where Ye Mubai lives, could it?

Looking at this building, though more luxurious than others, Su Ge felt inexplicably a bit of a chill.

It’s much more frightening than the Chu Garden.

Luckily, the car didn’t drive in, but directly bypassed the castle and continued forward.

The daily routine for people in a dical family probably involves gathering and preparing herbs, since entering the domain of the Ye Family, Su Ge has already seen many returning from the mountains with herbs.

Everyone was either carrying a basket or wearing a bamboo backpack, all filled to the brim with fresh herbs.

After bypassing the castle, they drove for another ten minutes or so before the car drove into a residence.

To Su Ge, this residence was probably the most normal one within the entire Ye Family domain.

There were no climbing vines planted outside the house, only so simple herbs, and the walls were not painted in a bizarre dark black tone, but in a very deep military green, although this color is rarely seen in the city, it looked much more normal under this particularly styled architecture.

Once inside, Su Ge discovered it was even more down-to-earth, with rockery and flowing water, each exquisitely decorated flower bed, and excellent lighting; the fragnted evening sunlight fell down, sowhat resembling the scenery in the Chu Family villa.

"We’re ho." As soon as the car stopped, Ye Mubai casually said.

Su Ge was slightly taken aback, turning his head to look at Ye Mubai just as he got out of the car.
