"Mm." The man agreed, leaving no room for argunt.

The little woman seed to relax slightly, settling down quietly.

The man didn’t say anything further, simply holding the little woman gently, looking at the retreating scenery outside the window with a slight depth in his phoenix eyes.

"Is the place where Ms. Amy is hosting the party very far?"

Feeling the car has been driving for a long ti, completely leaving the central city behind, the little woman nestled in the man’s arms couldn’t help but ask softly.

"We should be almost there."

Using "should," the man was evidently not too sure either.

Su Ge didn’t press further, looking at the increasingly beautiful snowy landscape outside the window, gradually reining in those emotions of wistful longing.

Even though she didn’t understand why she felt such longing.

But no matter what, there’s a solution to everything, it’ll work out eventually; such longing is not a good habit.

Erging from the man’s embrace, Su Ge leaned against the window, quietly appreciating the untouched snowy view outside.

Such scenery was indeed tragic and beautiful.

Tragic and expansive.

Almost no other cars were visible along the way, apart from the sound of tires rolling over the ground, there were no other sounds.

This particular atmosphere was abruptly interrupted by the ringing of a phone.

Su Ge took out her phone and glanced at it, her brows furrowing imdiately.

Why would Wen Lixin call her at this ti?

She glanced at the man beside her, seeing him resting with his eyes closed, she pressed the answer button, "Sister Lixin."

"Xiao Ge, are you busy now? Do you have ti to co out for a dinner?"

"I’m on my way to a birthday party right now, I don’t have ti today, Sister Lixin, let’s have dinner another day."

Su Ge refused quite straightforwardly.

"Another day..." Wen Lixin seed to hesitate for a mont, "Then are you free tomorrow? If so, let’s have a al together tomorrow."

"Sister Lixin, didn’t we just have a al yesterday? Why are you thinking of inviting to dinner again?"

With Su Ge asking, Wen Lixin obviously felt a bit awkward, "Well, you’re the company’s great contributor, I must bribe you well. But I know you’re busy, if you can’t find the ti, that’s okay. If you can, then you absolutely can’t refuse ."

"I know, I really have sothing going on today. If I have ti tomorrow, I’ll let you know, Sister Lixin."

As Su Ge spoke, a faint glimr flashed in her dark eyes.

Is it really that Wen Lixin wants to bribe her, or... is there another hidden reason?

So eager to et her...

"Alright, I’ll wait for your call."

Wen Lixin didn’t say much more, leaving a sentence and then hanging up.

Su Ge quietly stared at her phone.

Unaware of how long she was lost in thought, turning back, the man who had been resting with his eyes closed was now looking at her with calm eyes.

"It was Wen Lixin’s call."

Su Ge put away her phone, honestly explaining.

"Mm." The man acknowledged lightly, without saying much else.

Su Ge looked outside again, realizing the car had already left the desolate area.

Up ahead was an estate-style building, bustling with people, looking very lively.

"Is it here?"

From a distance, the snow around the estate had been cleaned up, mysteriously it’s clearly winter, yet the estate was lush and vibrant as if there were traces of spring.

How much money would it take to maintain an estate to such an effect?
