Mu Zhenzhen walked over and poured her a glass of water. Su Ge naturally took the cup and held it in her hands. It wasn’t until Mu Zhenzhen sat down across from her that she greeted her with a giggle and started gossiping, "Zhenzhen, how are things with Huo Jiaqi?"
After sitting down and pouring herself a glass of water, Mu Zhenzhen’s hand stiffened slightly when asked by Su Ge, "It seems like he has quite a lot of ti, calling every now and then."
Having said that, she put down the teapot and cradled the hot water in her palm.
"The Judicial Bureau should be pretty busy; his ti is probably limited. It looks like he’s quite interested in you."
Su Ge took a sip of hot water, analyzing the situation thoughtfully.
Mu Zhenzhen didn’t say anything, her expression slightly complex.
"At dinner just now, I heard Aunt Mu talking about blind dates. Zhenzhen, is she really going to make you go on blind dates?"
Actually, Zhenzhen was only a few years older than her.
But in the eyes of parents, they probably think that once a girl is of age, she should start thinking about marriage.
Seeing that Zhenzhen doesn’t have a boyfriend yet, they all seem pretty anxious.
"Yes, I don’t know who they’ve t recently, but they keep wanting to et soone," Mu Zhenzhen said sowhat helplessly.
"Did you go and et them?"
"No."
Su Ge’s eyes swiveled around, "Would Aunt Mu let it slide if you don’t go?"
"I really don’t know what to do," Mu Zhenzhen sighed softly.
Avoiding these etings is not a solution.
But going to them would just be a waste of ti.
"Why don’t you just tell them you have a boyfriend?" Su Ge suggested offhandedly.
"No way, I can’t fool them. If I say I have one, they’ll definitely want to bring him ho."
That plan was not an option.
"Then just randomly bring soone to get it over with."
Mu Zhenzhen looked at Su Ge sowhat astonished.
Su Ge smiled and put down her cup, "I’m only offering lousy advice; you really shouldn’t do this. It’s easy to bring soone ho, but if they start taking it seriously and you can’t shake them off, it’ll be trouble."
"But I do think that Huo Jiaqi is quite decent, far more reliable than his brother Huo Jialin."
It’s fortunate that the one who likes Zhenzhen is Huo Jiaqi.
If it were Huo Jialin, who knows how pressured Zhenzhen would be.
The kind that would propose marriage at the first eting.
And Huo Jiaqi seems to be the kind to slowly boil the frog in warm water, progressing step by step, not rushing things too much.
"Should I consider Huo Jiaqi then?" Mu Zhenzhen suddenly asked.
Su Ge had just taken a sip of water and nearly spat it out, "Zhenzhen, are you serious?"
I thought she wasn’t interested in Huo Jiaqi.
Although she had been ntioning Huo Jiaqi in front of her, she never intended to force her to settle for soone she didn’t like.
While Huo Jiaqi may be good in many ways, if Zhenzhen doesn’t like him, they’re not suitable for each other.
"Aren’t they saying that feelings can be developed?"
Su Ge wasn’t sure what Mu Zhenzhen was really thinking, only feeling that there seed to be a hint of pain hidden in her eyes.
"Zhenzhen, what’s wrong? Did sothing happen recently?"
"I’m fine, just joking," Mu Zhenzhen said as she picked up the water cup on the table and took a big gulp.
Su Ge watched her but she didn’t seem like soone who was fond of joking, "Zhenzhen, matters of the heart are no trivial matter, you need to think everything through clearly, and definitely can’t be impulsive."
"I know, you don’t have to worry about ," Mu Zhenzhen sent a reassuring smile to Su Ge.
