"Heh." Mu Zhenzhen scoffed with a sarcastic laugh, "Mo Xingyuan, do you really think this place is your ho? Hurry up and eat and leave, you’re not welco here."

Mu Zhenzhen spoke and then coldly turned her face away, expressionlessly looking out the window.

Mo Xingyuan seed stunned for a mont; he looked up and stared at Mu Zhenzhen for a few seconds, his throat moved twice, but he made no sound. A few seconds later, he reached out for the napkin on the table to wipe his hands and stood up, "I have an important appointnt with Angel, and I don’t have the ti to waste it here with you."

After he dropped those words, he went straight to the couch, picked up his coat, and left without looking back.

Mu Zhenzhen kept her gaze on the window until she heard the door close, and only then did she turn her head around.

The man was gone; in the empty room, a vague scent of alcohol still lingered.

The wind blew in from outside the window, carrying the last desolation of late autumn.

...

Su Ge had just taken a bunch of dicines from the side residence when she suddenly ran into a visitor to the Chu Family.

Although in a rush, she still managed to recognize the visitor’s identity.

Shen Zhiyue’s father, Shen Junhao.

What was he here for?

She paused on the spot for a few seconds, and Shen Junhao had already hurried into the main house.

Su Ge hesitated for a few seconds before following into the main house.

After entering, however, she did not see Shen Junhao.

Su Ge thought for a mont and instinctively looked upstairs.

Chu Yihan hadn’t gone to the company today and had been dealing with business in his study all along.

Shen Junhao, was he here to see him?

Her eyes whirled around for a mont, and Su Ge carried the dicines upstairs, first dumping all the dicine in her room, then tiptoed out the door toward the study.

Luckily Ling Feng was on a business trip and hadn’t returned. Su Ge gestured for silence to the few servants who looked at her, then pressed her ear against the door to eavesdrop.

"Chairman, you must save my Shen Family."

Along with the voice of Shen Junhao, Su Ge heard a "thud"; Shen Junhao had probably knelt down.

Su Ge widened her eyes in disbelief.

Mayor Shen would also have a day when he knelt before soone?

"Chairman, if you do not save my Shen Family, we will really be finished. You and Zhuyue grew up together since childhood; Zhuyue is now in a coma from a car accident and can’t be left uncared for. I know Zhuyue does not have enough influence to make you help the Shen Family through the crisis, but as long as you can help my Shen Family survive this disaster, my Shen Family is willing to be at your beck and call in return."

Through the crack in the door, Su Ge indeed saw Mayor Shen kneeling in front of Chu Yihan’s desk.

His body hung very low, truly in a pleading posture.

Chu Yihan was looking at docunts. There was probably silence in the study for a while, then Chu Yihan signed the docunts swiftly and laid them down, only after which did he coldly look up at Mayor Shen, "Why have you co to ?"

Mayor Shen seed bewildered by his question, and quickly began to explain in a fluster, "Because... because of you and Zhuyue..."

"Didn’t you say that Zhuyue doesn’t have that much influence?"

Chu Yihan’s face was utterly expressionless.

Mayor Shen was bewildered again.

Even Su Ge felt puzzled.

How could he not have thought of it?

Shen Junhao was seeking Chu Yihan’s help, certainly not just because Chu Yihan and Shen Zhiyue were childhood sweethearts.

Because he himself knew, Shen Zhiyue didn’t have that much clout.

Then what else could it be for?

"Do you know, Chairman, that the reasons the Judicial Bureau is investigating my Shen Family, are all because of... your Lady."
