The Rolls-Royce slowly stopped at the Chu Family’s residence.
The rain outside was still very heavy, and a servant with an umbrella ca over to greet them.
However, the car door remained unopened for quite a while, until finally, the noble and aloof man got out, carrying a little woman in his arms.
The little woman clung tightly to him, a black suit jacket draped over her, motionless as if asleep.
The servant didn’t think much of it and respectfully held the umbrella for them, escorting them into the main house before leaving with the umbrella.
"Do you need to get your dicine?"
As soon as the servant left, the man looked at the little woman in his arms and asked softly.
"No." The little woman’s voice was very weak, but her attitude was firm.
"Are you sure?"
The man seed sowhat uneasy.
After all, the woman had just passed out in the car.
It wasn’t the first ti, and she seed to be in such pain that it was likely an injury.
"...Sure..."
The little woman’s face turned red; she really didn’t want to discuss this topic with the man.
The man then didn’t say much more and quickly carried the little woman upstairs.
"Rest well. If there’s anything, just call the servants."
After laying the little woman on the bed, the man held her small hand and lightly kissed the back of her hand.
The little woman didn’t speak but withdrew her small hand from his and gently touched his forehead.
There, a thin layer of sweat could still be faintly seen.
"Yihan, are you alright?"
He looked a bit pale.
In fact, she had noticed it in the car, but it was dark inside, so she thought she had seen wrongly.
Now, under the light, she could see clearly that his face was a bit pale.
Does it actually hurt for a man to do that sort of thing?
"I’m fine." The man gently took her small hand away and then tucked her in, "Go to sleep now."
The rain continued outside as the man got up and turned off the light in the little woman’s room before leaving it.
As soon as he left, he clutched at his chest with one hand and hurriedly went downstairs.
"Fourth Master?" Doctor Wei had already packed up ready to rest, and he startled when he saw Chu Yihan burst in, "Fourth Master, what’s wrong with you?"
Why did the Fourth Master co himself in such heavy rain?
His feet were soaked halfway.
Couldn’t he have just ordered them over for whatever it was?
"I need to take my dicine."
The man’s body heavily fell onto the sofa, his voice hoarse and deep.
Doctor Wei then noticed that his complexion was extrely pale.
Was the Fourth Master having an episode again?
He quickly fetched the prepared dication from the cabinet, poured a cup of warm water, and briskly brought it over to Chu Yihan.
Chu Yihan took the dicine and water, without a word, and swallowed it down.
After taking it, he leaned back on the sofa and closed his eyes.
Several minutes passed, and the uncomfortable feeling in his chest finally began to dissipate bit by bit.
"Fourth Master, did you forget to take your dication today?" Doctor Wei clearly rembered sending over dicine three tis a day, the prescription was provided by the Lady last ti and had a significant stabilizing effect on Fourth Master’s condition. Why did he have an episode so soon?
The Fourth Master’s condition was so erratic; what could be the cause?
Is the dication no longer effective?
Chu Yihan shook his head, then one hand supported his forehead, his brow was slightly furrowed.
Seeing him like this, a flash of light flickered in Doctor Wei’s eyes, and after hesitating for a while, he asked, "Perhaps, Fourth Master, do you know the cause of your attacks?"
The Fourth Master is a person of regular habits; recently, did sothing break his routine, thereby causing the recurrence of his condition?
