The little woman’s next action was not at all surprising; she simply drew a tube of blood from his hand.
While his blood was being drawn, the man remained stoic, only slightly furrowing his eyebrows afterward, "Xiao Ge?"
What did she want his blood for?
"I let you work, that’s your punishnt."
Su Ge looked at the blood drawn, even intentionally swinging it evilly in front of the man.
Clearly not expecting this, the man was taken aback for several seconds before he laughed, "Is this little bit of blood satisfying? Do you want to draw so more?"
"That’s enough." Su Ge fiercely dropped a sentence, then put away the drawn blood.
The man realized that this little woman’s anger was truly extraordinary.
But, was she drawing his blood really just to punish him?
A hint of light flickered in the depth of his profound eyes.
The man worked until very late, and the little woman simply fell asleep on the sofa.
By the ti all the paperwork was finished and the six bottles of dicine were almost infused.
The nurse ca to remove the IV, and the very mont the needle was pulled out, the man got out of bed and walked toward the little woman on the sofa.
The little woman was sleeping soundly, covered with the hospital’s specially prepared down comforter. The temperature in the ward was probably a bit high, her little face sleeping with a flushed redness.
The man gently caressed her small face a few tis, then lifted the blanket from the little woman and directly carried her towards the bed.
Su Ge was awoken by a kiss; upon awakening, she could barely make out the man’s silhouette through the bright moonlight outside the window.
Fortunately, the man only kissed her once, without any further action.
Seeing her awake, he rolled to the side and embraced the little woman in his arms, "Go back to sleep."
"Is your infusion done?" Su Ge was suddenly spirited.
He didn’t take advantage of her sleep and pull out the IV before it finished, did he?
"Yeah." The man’s voice was low and composed.
Only then did Su Ge sowhat dispel her doubts, "Do you have to continue tomorrow?"
"Let’s see tomorrow." The man seed a bit tired, clutching her tighter with an undertone of weariness in his voice.
"How are you feeling now?"
Rarely waiting for him to finish work, Su Ge wanted to know more about his physical condition.
"Much better."
The man’s voice was a bit hoarse and unreal in the night.
"Sleep."
Su Ge didn’t ask any more, obediently closing her eyes in his embrace.
She didn’t know when she fell asleep.
When she woke up, she was alone in the hospital bed.
She sat up from the bed in a daze, glancing around until she saw Assistant Ling standing by the window with his back to her.
"Where’s Fourth Master?"
Su Ge’s brows knitted tightly.
The sky outside looked very early; where did he go so early in the morning?
"Fourth Master went to work, and I stayed behind specifically to inform you."
That’s when Ling Feng turned his gaze over.
Seeing that Su Ge’s pajamas were sowhat disheveled, he quickly turned his gaze away.
"Back to the company?"
Su Ge hurriedly jumped out of bed.
"On a business trip."
Ling Feng seed to guess what Su Ge wanted to do, imdiately replying.
"What?" Su Ge’s complexion instantly changed, quickly followed by resignation, "What did the doctor say about Fourth Master’s illness?"
"It’s just as it was, he should be fine going on a business trip."
Ling Feng appeared not wanting to say more, heading straight out, "I’m heading back to the company now."
Watching Ling Feng leave, Su Ge’s brows furrowed even tighter.
