"Xiao Ge, where did you et this beauty?" Zhu Huahua also watched Mu Zhenzhen leave and nudged Su Ge with her elbow, "She looks quite shy."

She walked so fast.

"I t her during an internship at Changqing Hospital." Su Ge replied absentmindedly.

"What? She’s studying dicine too? She shouldn’t be shy then."

Su Ge didn’t speak anymore; just watched Mu Zhenzhen’s retreating figure, lost in thought.

Outside the law firm, a silver-gray Maybach was conspicuously parked by the roadside.

A young girl in a plain dress was startled when she saw it; her face visibly paled, then she bit her lip and walked in the opposite direction of the car.

But hardly had she taken a few steps, the silver-gray Maybach suddenly reversed aggressively and stopped right beside her.

The cold and arrogant man sitting in the driver’s seat, his face so cold it seed to drip, commanded, "Get in."

Mu Zhenzhen looked back instinctively at the law firm, saw Su Ge and Zhu Huahua coming out, and without much hesitation, she got into the car.

The Maybach zipped away from the law firm. The man didn’t look at her from start to finish, yet the temperature in the car kept dropping. Mu Zhenzhen silently placed her hands on her lap, her fingers slightly curved, like a child who had done sothing wrong, helpless and distressed.

"Sss—"

The car suddenly stopped.

The girl was thrown forward, but luckily the seatbelt held her, and then she was flung back heavily into the seat.

Her back ached from the impact, yet she remained silent, head bowed.

"Mu Zhenzhen, what are you doing?"

The man’s piercing gaze shot over coldly.

The girl was silent for a few seconds before speaking, she sniffed slightly, her words tinged with self-mockery, "What am I doing? You know very well, don’t you?"

"I’ve warned you nurous tis not to do such useless things!" The man suddenly exploded, his high-decibel voice buzzing in the girl’s ears.

It seed she was used to it, her gaze faintly shifted to look at the man with a gloomy face, her eyes slightly reddened, her smile bitter, "Useless things? Of course, they are useless to you. What do their lives and deaths have to do with you?"

The man glared at her stubborn eyes fiercely, his aura growing heavier by the second, nearly spitting out the words from between his teeth, "The evidence of your parents’ corruption and bribery is conclusive, do you think you can overturn it? Mu Zhenzhen, are you trying to get yourself involved too?"

"They were frad!" The man’s words had hardly faded when the fragile girl suddenly shouted, tears rolling down her clean cheeks, her voice then softened, "They didn’t commit corruption or bribery, they were frad..."

"Heh." The man watched her innocent look and scoffed coldly, mocking, "Mu Zhenzhen, it’s been years, are you not awake yet? Your parents’ case was personally investigated by Shen Zhiyue as a lawyer, who could have frad them?"

Who could have frad them?

Mu Zhenzhen’s tear-blurred eyes stared at the cold, ruthless man in front of her.

Who frad them, don’t you and Shen Zhiyue know?

She didn’t voice her thoughts out loud, but instead sniffed, her gaze weakly lowered as she choked up, "Mo Xingyuan, I beg you, please save them..."

"You’re crazy!" The man cruelly turned his face away.

The temperature inside the car completely plumted to freezing point.

Mu Zhenzhen looked at his cold profile, faintly tugged at the corner of her mouth, and turned her face back.
