“Exactly, just wait until Xiao Xue gets back in her groove, she’ll be top of the class next exam and crush you losers.”
Kong Xue’s face paled, she paid no attention to those people, and randomly picked a place to sit down.
Su Ge was sowhat confused about the situation before her.
She had only left school for a little over a month, what had happened?
Su Ge looked at Zhu Huahua.
Zhu Huahua shook her head helplessly, “Kong Xue is our school’s famous top student and campus beauty, right? She was always ranked first or at least in the top three in every exam. Nobody knows what happened this ti; she ended up at the bottom of the ranks, so of course, everyone found it odd. But then she disappeared right after the exams, she hasn’t been to school in a week or two. Maybe sothing really did happen at ho that affected her performance.”

“Xiao Ge,” hearing Zhu Huahua’s voice, Su Ge looked away. Zhu Huahua stared at her earnestly, “You ranked first in the entire departnt in the last exam, and everyone is saying you’re more fitting of the title top student and campus beauty. I think you’re prettier than Kong Xue, too. If you outperform her in this end-of-term exam, you’ll definitely be the undisputed top student and campus beauty of our school.”

Su Ge just smiled nonchalantly and stood up, “You enjoy your al, I’ve got to head to the club.”
“Really? You’re leaving alone again…” Zhu Huahua watched Su Ge leave with a sad look, then got up to buy another serving of food.
“Su Ge,” A sweet voice called out to her from behind just as she stepped out of the cafeteria.
Surprised, Su Ge turned her head and saw Kong Xue, dressed in a white gown, smiling as she walked towards her, “It seems I haven’t seen you around for quite a while, I heard you went out on an internship?”
“Yeah, that’s right.” Su Ge responded flatly, “Is there sothing you need?”
What does my internship have to do with her?
“Nothing really, it’s just that I haven’t seen you in so long, and it feels a bit odd not seeing you around.”
Just as Su Ge felt there was sothing off about that remark, Kong Xue continued, “Su Ge, we could be friends, right?”
Su Ge was taken aback for about three seconds.
Did she hear that wrong?
Kong Xue wants to be friends with her?
“If Su Ge doesn’t say anything, then I’ll take it as a yes. I know you like attending Professor Sun’s lectures. There’s one this afternoon. Let’s go together.”
“I haven’t had lunch yet, going to eat now, see you in the afternoon.”
After saying her piece, Kong Xue didn’t wait for Su Ge to respond and turned back toward the cafeteria.
Su Ge stood there, utterly bewildered.
What’s going on?
It was true, Su Ge had enrolled in Professor Sun’s class, and indeed, when she went to class that afternoon, Kong Xue was waiting at the classroom’s door.
