Su Ge didn’t bother with Ling Feng, instead staring unwaveringly at Chu Yihan with her shimring eyes.
Chu Yihan looked at her, pensive for a few seconds, “It might be a long wait.”
“I can wait,” Su Ge said with a sweet smile.
Without saying anything more, Chu Yihan lowered his handso face and gently kissed the girl’s forehead, then instructed Ling Feng to take her to the resting room.
Su Ge sat in the resting room, drinking tea and enjoying pastries, and it was almost evening by the ti the man finally finished his work and ca to pick her up.
Riding ho with Chu Yihan, the autumn evening sky over Rong City wasn’t as brilliant, but the golden ginkgo trees lining the roads provided another kind of unique scenery.
Finally arriving at the Chu Family residence, from a distance Su Ge could see a Bentley parked outside the gate and a voluptuous woman in red, swaying by the car like a model.

A light flashed in Su Ge’s eyes as she glanced at Chu Yihan, who had also seen Shen Zhiyue. His cold and handso face softened slightly before he got out of the car.
Just as Chu Yihan stepped out of the car, the woman in red looked over and then dashed towards them.
Su Ge quickly got out of the car as well.
“Yihan, Yihan…” Shen Zhiyue ran towards Chu Yihan with a face full of excitent, but Su Ge, seeing sothing amiss, stepped in front of Chu Yihan just in ti for Shen Zhiyue to throw herself into her arms.
The two were stunned by the unexpected embrace, but Su Ge regained her composure first and said with a smile, “Ms. Shen, long ti no see. You’ve gotten even more beautiful.”
“Miss Su, you’re just the sa as always,” said Shen Zhiyue with a stiff twitch of the corners of her mouth before quickly letting go of Su Ge.
Before Su Ge could exchange another word with her, Shen Zhiyue’s eyes, sparkling with tears, looked pitifully at Chu Yihan, “Yihan, I’m so relieved to see you’re alright. Do you know how worried I’ve been these past few days? I’ve been constantly inquiring about your well-being, terrified sothing would happen to you. And you, not even contacting despite being fine, really, I’m about to hate you.”
Shen Zhiyue’s coquettish complaints sounded just like a young wife being neglected by her boyfriend.
There was no apparent change in Chu Yihan’s expression, “Sorry to have made you worry.”
Shen Zhiyue bit her lip, “No, Yihan, you have to explain to clearly what you’ve been up to these days. You can’t let us worry for nothing; this isn’t like you at all.”
“It’s my fault, all my fault, Ms. Shen. This is all my wrongdoing!” Before Chu Yihan could think of a response, Su Ge cleverly stepped forward, “Actually, Yihan and I have been away on vacation these past few days. I’ve been interning recently and it was quite tough. Yihan felt sorry for , so despite his busy schedule, he made ti to take on a short break.
