"Reciprocate?" Zhenzhen was feeling a bit overwheld, "The things he gives are so expensive, my monthly salary isn’t enough to buy him a gift in return."

"Silly girl." Madam Mu burst into laughter, "I’ve told you, gifting is about the thought, not the price. As long as you put your heart into it, it’s fine. You can first find out what he likes, try to give him sothing he likes that also represents your feelings. It doesn’t need to be pricey; Jiaqi will definitely be happy."

Zhenzhen was silent for a mont.

"Are you listening?" Madam Mu reached over and poked her again.

Her daughter really was sothing else; while other girls loved shopping, she preferred staying at ho.

Just going out for a date or shopping occasionally tires her out like this.

It was the sa last ti.

You really can’t compare her to other girls.

"I heard you, I’m thinking about what Jiaqi might like."

After a few minutes of thinking, she genuinely couldn’t figure out what Huo Jiaqi liked.

Perhaps they didn’t know each other well enough yet.

The only thing he ever ntioned liking was her.

Beyond that, she hadn’t heard him ntion liking anything else.

"No need to rush, think it over slowly. I’m not asking you to reciprocate imdiately with a gift. Just choose the right mont to surprise him. Don’t make it seem like you must reciprocate right away when he gifts you sothing; that feels too formal. It’s the thought that counts, you understand?"

"I got it, I got it." Zhenzhen didn’t usually find Madam Mu too talkative, but ever since she got engaged to Huo Jiaqi, her mother had consistently been imparting heartfelt lessons.

It made her feel as if she didn’t know how to be in a relationship.

Even though she indeed wasn’t great at relationships or managing feelings, she could learn.

"You girl, getting impatient after just a few words." Madam Mu shook her head, "Jiaqi treats you well, you should treat him well too."

"Mom, you’ve said this many tis already, I know, you don’t need to repeat it. Every ti you say this, it sounds like I’ve done sothing to wrong Jiaqi."

At that mont, Zhenzhen felt quite annoyed inside.

Since she was engaged to Jiaqi, she was certainly going to take the relationship seriously.

She wasn’t a heartless person, much less soone who would do anything to hurt Jiaqi.

Even though she lacked relationship experience, she was going to learn and grow while being with Jiaqi.

"Have I said it that many tis?" Madam Mu seed unaware of her own repetitive words, and upon seeing Zhenzhen’s rather impatient expression, she smiled again, "Alright, I won’t say it anymore in the future. I know you’ll take responsibility for Jiaqi."

"Okay, I’m going upstairs to take a bath. The hospital will be busy tomorrow, I need to rest well today."

After speaking, Zhenzhen took a sip of the water Madam Mu had poured for her before getting up and heading upstairs.

Madam Mu watched Zhenzhen’s back as she ascended the stairs, smiling and shaking her head.

She averted her gaze and shook her head again.

Why was she always worried that this child might not treat Jiaqi well?

Zhenzhen’s nature was one of taking things seriously and responsibly.

Since she was already engaged to Jiaqi, she was bound to take the relationship seriously.

What was she worried about?

After entering and closing the door, Zhenzhen leaned against it.

She stood there for an unknown amount of ti, then brushed her hair back with her hand and, feeling exhausted, headed towards the bathroom.
