"Okay."
Seating themselves on a secluded bench in the campus, Xu Yang bought two cups of hot milk tea, handing one to Su Ge before sitting down.
"What have you been busy with lately?"
"?" Su Ge cradled the milk tea in her hands, "Not much, just so family matters. Actually, there’s nothing much to be busy with."
"I heard you went to Country A with Professor Cheng?"
Xu Yang hesitated but asked anyway.
"Yes." Su Ge didn’t hide anything, "It was about half a month ago, I suppose."
"Hmm, the professor thinks highly of you." Xu Yang smiled.
Su Ge looked over and found that his smile had a hint of relief.
"The professor also thinks highly of Senior Xu." Su Ge responded with a smile.
In his previous life, Xu Yang eventually beca a famous psychology professor, thanks in no small part to Ye Mubai’s help.
Though Ye Mubai didn’t take Xu Yang with him abroad, he certainly paved the way for him dostically.
"Hmm." Xu Yang indeed didn’t deny it and nodded.
"Oh, by the way, the professor ntioned that the school’s lab won’t be used anymore." Su Ge took a sip of milk tea and suddenly rembered this matter.
"The professor has arranged for a new lab. When it’s ti for experints, he should take us there."
Su Ge nodded. Since they were on this topic, she couldn’t help but ask, "Senior Xu, do you know when the professor will be back?"
"I’m not sure, I haven’t been able to reach him recently."
"Can’t reach him?" Su Ge weakly placed her hands holding the milk tea on her knees.
Even Xu Yang couldn’t reach him.
Ye Mubai, hopefully nothing has happened to you.
"Now that the school has started, the professor should be coming to the school soon." Xu Yang didn’t seem worried at all.
Su Ge forced a smile, "Yeah, the professor has to co back to teach."
After saying that, she took another sip of milk tea, hoping the professor would co back soon.
The wind blew through the campus, cold and noisy.
A day passed, and there was no sign from the Dongcheng Chamber of Comrce.
Su Ge calmly attended classes for a day, and when she prepared to leave in the afternoon, she didn’t see the driver’s car.
"Strange." Usually, the driver would wait at the school gate on ti, so Su Ge took out her phone and called the driver.
Unexpectedly, the call couldn’t go through.
What’s going on?
Did sothing happen to the driver uncle?
No, no, Housekeeper Wu said the driver uncle has decades of driving experience; nothing should have happened.
Just as she hesitated about whether to call Housekeeper Wu to send another driver, she suddenly saw a taxi stop at the school gate.
Two passengers just got off, and without thinking, Su Ge quickly went over and stopped the car.
It takes at least half an hour for the driver to co from the Chu Family to here, and it would take an hour and a half to go back and forth.
With all that hassle, it’s better to just take a taxi back.
After getting in the car and reporting the address, Su Ge called Housekeeper Wu to ask about the driver’s situation.
That’s when she learned the driver had family matters and had hurriedly returned to his hotown.
Housekeeper Wu assud the driver would have inford Su Ge when he left, but the driver uncle probably thought Housekeeper Wu should personally inform Su Ge, so neither of them said anything, and Su Ge remained unaware until after school.
"Okay, I understand. As long as he’s okay. I was just asking; I’m taking a taxi back now."
