Chapter 1083: Chapter 4 Ruoxi’s Art of War
Traditional beliefs usually hold that if girls who like the sa guy stay together, there will inevitably be a catfight.
In fact, that’s not always true.
Catfighting is an instinctive action to compete for attention from the opposite sex, but humans are obviously not entirely driven by instinct.
Zhou Hongyu is not good at socializing, and the other two know she isn’t, so they wouldn’t bother her too much. Ye Jun and Su Yunjin are both social butterflies; the forr has a good personality, and the latter is emotionally intelligent, so they quickly grew close like sisters — of course, just seemingly so.
Yang Linhui pretended to be communicating with Lord Master, while he was actually hiding aside playing on his phone, secretly eavesdropping on their conversation.
Exciting, very exciting!
Vice Captain Ye and Su Yunjin weren’t fighting, but were both probing each other’s temperant and character. What’s their plan?
It’s definitely not for better harmony, hahahahaha!
“Linhui, why aren’t you talking?” Liu Longtao sent a ssage.
Yang Linhui quickly checked the ssage and realized it was ti for a shift change. According to the scheduled titable, he and Zhou Hongyu were supposed to relieve Liu Longtao and Xie Ruoxi.
Darn, I haven’t seen the fun part yet!
Yang Linhui reluctantly stood up and whispered to Zhou Hongyu:
“Captain Zhou, it’s ti to change shifts.”
“Alright.” Zhou Hongyu said like receiving a great relief.
She wasn’t very good at talking to people she wasn’t familiar with. If Yunjin could be considered familiar with her, then in front of Ye Jun, she was much more reserved.
Emotionally speaking, the two could only be considered acquaintances, like Yan Yu with Qin ng and ng Qingxi; but in reality, they were supposed to be sisters living together at Yan’s House and shouldn’t be too distant.
Managing social distance is too difficult for Hongyu, who grew up fighting with others. She excels more at physical distance, like zero-distance contact of fists with enemies, or negative distance with Yan Yu…
Now, with Yang Linhui asking her to take the shift, she could escape this awkward social whirlpool. So she quickly said, “I should leave,” and awkwardly turned around to leave.
Not long after the two left, Liu Longtao and Xie Ruoxi returned.
“Captain!” Xie Ruoxi shouted excitedly as she entered the room, throwing herself into Yan Yu’s arms, tearfully saying, “I missed you so much!”
Su Yunjin and Ye Jun’s expressions instantly beca a little strained.
For example, it’s like at a dinner table social event where no one is picking up their chopsticks. Are they not hungry? Of course not! It’s just that so things are more important than eating… Then, watching a silly guy grabbing chopsticks and eating heartily made them suddenly feel like the ones maintaining their composure seed more foolish.
Yan Yu lifted Xie Ruoxi up, spun her around joyfully in the air, then placed her down steadily.
Xie Ruoxi realized belatedly that Yunjin and Ye Jun were watching nearby, deciding against leaving a saliva mark on the captain’s cheek. She turned her head and smiled sheepishly:
“Yunjin, I’m back. Ye Jun, you ca too?”
“Mm.” Ye Jun nodded and said, “I ca to set up a formation.”
“Eh?” Xie Ruoxi’s eyes lit up, “Is it the sa formation that split the Thunder thod into countless Thunder Lights when I was crossing Tribulation and forming core?”
“Nope.” Ye Jun said mysteriously, “It’s a thousand tis more powerful than that.”
Xie Ruoxi curiously pursued but even Su Yunjin couldn’t glean this top-secret info, so Ye Jun wouldn’t leak it to her either.
Liu Longtao walked over to Yan Yu, extending a fist:
“Old Yan, nice of you to co. I’ve been missing you lately.”
“Missing for what?” Yan Yu coldly smirked, punching fists with him, “I’ve got nothing to do with you.”
“Missing your parties back in the rear while I was stuck here working day and night, it really bothers .” Liu Longtao laughed heartily, “Let treat you tonight?”
“Don’t bother, I’ll treat.” Ye Jun quickly interrupted, “I’m a Jinn native. The host should be .”
“Alright, then Ye Jun will treat.” Liu Longtao gestured for her to proceed.
It was almost al ti, and the formation was being set up thodically, done by the ‘volunteer staff’ in the Red Dust Hundred Life Map with no external intervention needed, so everyone went to eat first.
The restaurant was recomnded by Ye Jun. According to her, “I held my full-month and tenth birthday celebrations here. Absolutely great value for money.”
The attendees weren’t really concerned about ‘great value for money’, more about the hotel’s security and confidentiality, avoiding unwanted fans surrounding them minutes after arrival.
Ye Jun repeatedly assured them such situations wouldn’t occur.
The group gathered to eat, glancing at Yan Yu from ti to ti.
Yan Yu suddenly thought of sothing, his expression changed slightly, and he quickly whispered to Liu Longtao:
“Get drunk! Quick!”
Lord Master’s heart laughed, raising his glass:
“Old Yan, while we fought the Bohai Giant Snake to the death, you were enjoying life back in the rear, shouldn’t this drink be a penalty?”
“It should be!” Yan Yu instantly caught on, drinking the glass in one go.
“All these days, not a single call to the frontline.” Lord Master said indignantly, “As Lu Country’s foremost Divine General, yet neglecting national affairs, should this drink be a penalty?”
“It should, it should!” Yan Yu drank again.
“Being here, you can only cheer but can’t help with anything, should this drink be a penalty?” Lord Master lanted.
