Tian Xingyun wiped her hair and looked around the room.
The room was a luxury suite with a sofa, and the sofa was big enough for soone to sleep on.
She walked over to the bed, sat down, and blinked at Li Zhiting before saying rudely, "You sleep on the sofa."
"Okay," Li Zhiting nodded.
"Looks like we won’t be able to go ho today," Tian Xingyun said, looking out the window as she continued to wipe her hair, even though it wasn’t dark yet.
But the rain hadn’t lessened; in fact, it was coming down even harder.
It was obvious that they couldn’t leave and would have to stay here tonight.
She was more worried about her daughter. Would she act up if she went ho and couldn’t find her?
Could he calm their daughter down in the evening? That was a very important question.
"The rain is very heavy; there’s no way we can leave."
"Hmm," Tian Xingyun nodded.
"You should take a shower first and change out of those wet clothes," Li Zhiting said as he put the towel on the nearby cabinet, then walked to the door, opened it, and went out.
Tian Xingyun was just about to ask him where he was going, but he had already left.
Looking at her own wet clothes, she really wanted to change.
But she hadn’t brought any clothes; what would she wear after changing out of the wet ones?
If she were alone, she could wear a bathrobe and change out of the wet clothes.
But now with Li Zhiting here, it wasn’t convenient!
Forget it, she thought, I’ll just keep them on; they’ll dry soon anyway.
At worst, she would catch a cold, but so dicine would fix that.
Putting down the towel, she got up and walked to her bag, intending to take out her phone to make a call.
After rummaging for a while, she rembered that she had accidentally dropped her phone into the fish pond while feeding the fish!
She had heard her phone ring while she was fishing, and she had opened her bag to take it out and answer.
Just then, a few kids had co running and bumped into her.
Her phone had fallen from her hand to the ground and was then kicked by a child’s foot into the fish pond...
She had seen that the caller was Huo Shaohua and wondered if it was sothing important.
She had planned to use Li Zhiting’s phone to make a call, but then it had started raining heavily!
She had been so focused on finding shelter that she hadn’t had ti to make the call.
Turning around to look at the room, she saw a landline phone by the bed.
She ran over, picked up the receiver, and dialed Huo Shaohua’s number.
She called several tis, but no one answered. Was sothing wrong?
Why hadn’t he answered?
She called again, and this ti, it finally connected!
"Hello." A deep male voice ca through the receiver.
"It’s ..." Tian Xingyun held the receiver tightly and spoke softly.
She didn’t know if he was angry because she had missed several of his calls.
Though they were already divorced, she still had feelings for him and was afraid he’d misunderstand her.
Huo Shaohua was stunned and looked at the number on the screen; it was a landline number.
But the voice was hers; what was going on?
Why wasn’t she using her own phone to call him?
"Tianxin’s dad, are you listening?" Tian Xingyun hadn’t heard a response for a while and felt it was strange since he hadn’t hung up.
"Where are you?" He put the phone back to his ear and asked.
"I’m at a hotel."
"With whom?!" Huo Shaohua gripped his phone tightly, trying to see if she was being honest!
If she dared to lie to him, he would definitely teach her a lesson when she got back!
"With Li Zhiting..."
"Tian Xingyun!" A man’s voice ca through the receiver, gnashing his teeth. It was clear he was furious!
"It’s not like anything happened between us," Tian Xingyun inexplicably felt a little happy because she heard his angry voice.
Because he was angry because of her.
"You better explain this clearly to ! Otherwise..."
"Otherwise what?" Tian Xingyun pretended not to understand, curious to see what he could do to her.
"I..."
"I went out with him for so fun, and then it suddenly started raining heavily, so we couldn’t go back and had to stay at the hotel," Tian Xingyun explained with a smile, not teasing him any further.
