After sending Lecia off, there were still other matters tonight. Iluna and Luviya were to co over later to summarize the information regarding the second Chosen One, and incidentally deal with the door residing in 'Genesis: Darkness.'
However, they both had jobs to tackle, so they would likely not arrive until after eight o'clock. Taking advantage of the free ti, Shard returned to the second floor from the hallway, stripping off his shirt as he ascended the stairs, bare-chested, he reached the washroom and examined his neck in the mirror.
Since leaving the doctor, he had been with Lecia the entire ti and hadn't had a chance to check the marks. Standing in front of the washbasin under the gaslight, he indeed noticed red marks on his neck:
"Are they that noticeable?"
His right hand pressed on his neck as faint silver moonlight emitted from within his hand. 'Cyndia's Silvermoon Blessing' healed the marks on his body, which weren't exactly wounds.
Seeing the conspicuous marks disappear, he then reached his right arm across the front of his body to press on the back of his neck from the left, while his upper body slightly turned, trying to see what the situation was on the back of his neck.
Suddenly, a strong feeling of being watched surged within him, Shard with a fierce look adopted this awkward posture to peer behind:
"Are you peeping at ?"
Standing at the doorway of the washroom was a cat:
"Mia!"
The serious expression on Shard's face morphed into a smile, the cat imdiately ran into the washroom, then Shard bent down to pick it up. The cat judiciously stood on Shard's shoulder without scratching him:
"Although you mischievously got into that box, considering the great help you've provided, tomorrow, after I collect my reward from MI6, we'll have a feast. A new month begins."
This unusually intelligent cat seed to understand Shard's words, tilting its head and squinting its eyes, it rubbed its furry face against Shard's.
Shard continued to heal the potentially misleading wounds on his body, not sure if this body's self-healing ability was too outstanding, but there were only so faint red marks.
As he turned his head, he again saw the 'Transmutation Ring' and the 'Fish Training Ring' still worn on the cat's tail. The 'Transmutation Ring' used a material like pebbles for the ring's face, while the 'Fish Training Ring' was just a band, appearing to be made of brass, densely engraved with runes.
These runes could be interpreted not only vertically and horizontally but even so runes constituted another rune in themselves. Even though these were not relics, they must be powerful alchemical items.
"You're still wearing these rings, huh."
Shard asked, the cat owed, lifting its head and wagging its tail proudly.
"Good thing, the 'Fish Training Ring' has no effect on cats."
"What if it did work on cats?"
He heard her voice next to his ear, Shard looked up towards the mirror's reflection of himself; predictably, there was no one behind him. But standing in the washroom looking at the mirror, the scene was quite similar to when he saw 'Desire'... except he was shirtless now.
"I recited the activation spell for the 'Fish Training Ring' granting Mia the ability to speak like a human, given that we've ruled out the possibility that a cat's tail and a cat's body are two different creatures, this cat could potentially recite the spell for the 'Transmutation Ring.'

She whispered gently in his ear, her words carrying a tender smile.
"I used to think that the 'Transmutation Ring' could only achieve a change between genders, that even if an animal used it, it could only switch to another body of the sa species. The doorbell downstairs rang, signaling the arrival of Iluna or Luviya.

As the first Chosen One, and also the Church Ring Sorcerer who had killed the second Chosen One, Iluna carried many responsibilities that only she could shoulder. Naturally, this brought attention and elevated status from the church, but at the sa ti, it ant she couldn't enjoy life as leisurely as Shard could.
Luviya arrived half an hour later than Iluna at Saint Delan Square. Not because the Prophet's Society suspected her, but because President Stan had convened a major eting for local Circle Sorcerers.
The content of the eting not only related to summarizing operations in the 'Dark Realm' but also involved the secrets of the Prophet's Society and matters pertaining to the 'Truth Society,' so Luviya didn't disclose this to either of them. She rely ntioned that the Prophet's Society and the 'Truth Society' were inherently at odds. Following an ambush in the dark realm, although President Stan ultimately defeated the opposing Circle Sorcerer, the society also needed to organize a retaliation.
"However, our operation was very successful, quite successful indeed, you two did a great job."
Luviya looked tenderly at the two sitting on the sofa, Shard was petting Mia, showing a smile while Iluna, a bit embarrassed, gently touched her own face:

Shard translated the aning of that rune for Luviya.

Luviya narrowed her eyes:
"Killing a Chosen One grants you their power?"
"No, whoever kills a Chosen One does not gain the corresponding power. Mia, of course, wasn't going to let herself be scared so easily and imdiately pounced at the hand. But Iluna quickly withdrew her hand from the vortex, causing Mia to tumble over the vortex and fall on Iluna's legs.
Iluna, very pleased, did not let go of Mia, who owed plaintively, seeking help from Shard.

She released Mia, who imdiately darted towards Shard.
The advancent speed of the Chosen Ones is very fast. Compared to Shard's unexpected progress, their talent is nearly unmatched.
"You've killed a Chosen One, witnessed the story of the second Chosen One, and I have also gained power,"
Luviya continued, summoning the Ring of Fate behind her, also at the Three Rings, without any additional Spirit Runes:
"My divination skills have improved, which ans getting involved in special fate nodes has allowed
