The yacht sliced through the calm surface of the lake, heading towards the upstream urban area of the Duin River. On the topmost observation deck, rain clouds had just dispersed, and standing there in the night breeze, though slightly chilly, one could see the scenery of Green Lake City’s east and west shores gradually receding behind.

Similarly, the entire observation deck of the yacht was illuminated by gas lamps. Holding Mia, Shard and the witch Audrey Edwards stood in front of the railing. The cat squinted its eyes, leaning against Shard’s chest. It felt his chest was sowhat cold, so it wanted to warm him up, just like in winter when Shard read by the fireplace in the living room, with it lying on his lap.
With the battle over and the “Divinity Overflow” state dissipated, Shard also felt that strange “indifferent” mood fade away. He couldn’t be sure if his spirit had really fully recovered due to the divinity, or if perhaps the excitent from acquiring new divinity so easily had diluted that indifferent feeling as if the world had nothing to do with him.

Audrey flicked her hair a bit, secretly glancing at Shard from the side. She had many questions she wanted to ask, but she didn’t know what to start with. Since returning to the ship, apart from changing into dry clothes and Shard requesting a packed dinner, they had been standing there, watching the scenery.

Shard nodded slightly, gazing in the direction where the ship was heading. This ship was sailing toward the dock upstream where it could moor on the Duin River; tonight’s adventure was over.
“I know, but I’m not a demigod; this is borrowing the power of a relic. In our era, there are temporarily no demigods.”
So far, the closest to a demigod Shard had seen was the Thirteen Rings, “Guardian,” the Chosen of the Earth. But that was also built upon the power of nurous spirits, piled by “quantity.”
The witch nodded again, gently biting her lip:
“Your current situation is quite odd; the relic gave you great power, but what is the cost?”
“I just need to sleep again, and then ask soone a question, then it’ll be okay.”
Shard wasn’t worried about it, but Audrey didn’t know whether he was really fine.

Shard chuckled, temporarily transferring the cat to his shoulder, and unexpectedly, once more opened his arms and embraced the worried witch.
She shivered all over but didn’t push Shard away. So neither of them spoke, just standing there on the observation deck, letting the night breeze pass by, letting the scenery on both sides of the city slip by them.
Mia on Shard’s shoulder initially attempted to use her little paw to push away the brown-haired witch, wanting to reclaim her position. But after trying a few tis, the cat gave up, having to squat boringly on Shard’s shoulder, watching the scenery outside the ship, wondering when they could return to the warm and cozy ho.
After quite so ti, Shard finally released the witch, who mumbled sothing unclear like “your chest is really warm,” to which Shard smiled and said:
“You see, my heart is much warr than that cold heart.”
“Who knows how many girls you’ve said that to.”
The witch spoke softly, then suddenly stood on her toes and kissed Shard on the side of the face. Her face instantly turned red, but she still pretended to be composed:
“This is to comfort you and to say thanks. You’ve worked hard today, go back and have a good rest. You don’t need to co to find
tomorrow, Tuesday. We’ll decide on Wednesday whether we should go on a third island expedition. This ti such a big ss was stirred up; the church will likely inspect the island again. The second island, hidden behind the real island, my ancestor…”
Shard petted the cat on his shoulder, smiling and nodding:
“You rest well too. We’ll see each other on Wednesday.”
They looked at each other, Shard giving the opportunity for her to ask that question. So then—
“Your cat is really cute! When walking the cat, do you use a leash?”

The witch’s face showed a reassuring smile; she had found the answer. Though it was sowhat unexpected, and she did not know the specifics, the man before her was even better than she thought, her judgnt truly was the best in the Witch Council:
“Will you always protect ? Until the events in the Green Lake Region are over.”
“Of course I will, to the best of my ability, as we agreed.”
“Then goodbye, see you the day after tomorrow.”
She said softly, her golden eyes watching Shard with an indescribable affection. Shard, smiling, spoke to Audrey Edwards:
“Goodbye, gan.”
[You did that on purpose, didn’t you?]
The witch’s expression froze, trying to show emotion, but without a reason, she forced a smile:
“Goodbye, goodbye.”
She waved to the maid, who handed the lunch box filled with hot food to Shard. After softly thanking her, Shard leaped to the lower deck, hopping off the boat in a few bounds, disappearing into the darkness on the western bank of the Duin River.
“Oh, my God~”
Only then did she turn around, leaning on the railing, holding her flushed face with both hands.
And gan beside her mocked:
“What, he said goodbye to
specifically, and you’re unhappy?”
Audrey Edwards shook her head:
“How could I be unhappy? We are one. Our souls have long since intertwined; you are , and I am you, my dear sister, I won’t forget this… I’m just wondering who he really is. The God Summoner, why only Six Rings?”
“Didn’t he say he’d tell us his identity next week? Then, we’ll know everything. Be a little patient.”

He took out the lunch box, and Luviya put down the drawing pencils and compass she was using and walked towards Shard, hesitantly looking at him:
