Chapter 1576: Chapter 1576: Whisper - End

Due to Shard’s invitation to stay overnight, this evening Luviya planned to go to No. 6, Saint Delan Square after work. But Shard, holding Mia, arrived at the Prophet’s Society earlier to wait for her.

Almost everyone at the Prophet’s Society in Tobesk City knew about Shard and Luviya’s relationship. The receptionists in uniform congratulated Shard on winning the city’s horsemanship championship while probing about his relationship with Princess Lecia and whether it would affect his relationship with Luviya.

The gossiping of the young ladies was soon interrupted by Vice-President Mark:

"It’s not end of shift yet, please focus on work."

He then led Shard to his office to wait temporarily. Checking the ti, there were five minutes until the end of the day, and Vice-President Mark poured them both a glass of specially prepared "end-of-day drink" from the liquor cabinet. It was a nice bottle of mildly alcoholic fruit-flavored gin.

Vice-President Mark discussed with Shard about when Shard was seriously ill a while ago, he had entrusted Luviya to identify the [Genesis: Earth]. At that ti, Luviya used the excuse "this card isn’t mine" and didn’t reveal the origin of the card. Today, coincidentally, Shard ca to the society, so Vice-President Mark curiously inquired about it.

Unfortunately, Shard also didn’t know where Ston Osenfort got the card, so he could only evade by saying it was a privacy he couldn’t disclose.

Seeing Shard unwilling to divulge, Vice-President Mark proposed the idea of featuring the appearance and ownership of "Genesis: Earth" by Shard in the Threepenny Gazette. Each card appearing in the [Genesis] series is big news for Roder Card Players, let alone the previously unheard news of [Genesis: Earth].

Shard agreed to the request since he had already used the card, and the news could not be kept a secret. Moreover, in return, the Prophet’s Society would also give Shard a nice reward.

Luviya was very pleased that Shard and Mia had co to pick her up after work. She considered today purely a date night, even going back first to No. 6, Saint Delan Square to change into an outfit she kept there before dining out with Shard.

After dinner, the two strolled back ho with Mia, spending so ti reading in the study, where Shard also brought out red wine for them to share. Around nine o’clock, they put Mia into the wardrobe and got into bed to rest.

The girl with purple eyes specifically brought the [Ever-Youth Leaf], but during their kiss, it was "taken" by Shard and placed on the bedside table. As a result, she was held by Shard and relaxed into a deep sleep before midnight.

She slept deeply, as if all her worries had been lifted. Shard, on the other hand, lay awake calculating ti, thinking to himself that it had been a long ti since he had a date with Luviya without any ulterior motives.

[Are you feeling guilty?]

"She" softly asked in Shard’s ear, and Shard replied in his mind:

"Of course, especially towards Luviya."

"She"’s gentle laughter was as comforting as ever, and after midnight’s chis, Shard quietly got out of bed. He dressed and went to the study, retrieving the Black Ti Key from the drawer, a mory extracted by Ciris from the Earth.

To avoid waking Luviya, the study remained unlit. The Outlander stood alone by the table, his eyes fixed on the key in his hand. After a mont, he shook his head slightly, preparing for an unpredictable new adventure.

"May the World Tree bless

through infinite ti."

The black withered wood key was inserted into the lock on the inside of the study door. As Shard gently turned the key, he felt the flow of ti reverse, a sensation he never experienced before.

Turning the key opened the door. Beyond it was still the familiar Mist Gate enveloped in cotton-like white fog. In this respect, this special Black Ti Key was no different from a normal key.

"So, I’m setting out. What exactly happened in the ti that no longer exists?"

He said to himself, received "her" response, and then stepped into the Mist Gate.

[Outlander, you have stepped into the "Ti Corridor."]

[ssage from the Ancient God "Father of the Infinite Tree":]

[Bygone Era: Sixth Era, Old Continent, City of the Apocalypse: Tobesk.]

[Event: Tobesk, Final Era.]

[Duration unlimited (1/∞).]

[You have acquired additional information.]

[You have entered a nonexistent history.]

[The shadow of the Father of the Infinite Tree watches over you.]

"Tobesk City is known as the City of the Apocalypse? And the usage count of this Ti Key is infinite? What kind of great fortune is this?"

Shard stood in the white fog, pondering with astonishnt. He hadn’t seen anything yet, but the information he had so far was astonishing enough:

"Also, since the duration is arbitrary, and the Father of the Infinite Tree hasn’t given

any tasks, how can I leave this space-ti?"

"She" didn’t answer imdiately, as if receiving information from the [Ti Corridor]:

[Note: During this exploration, you cannot leave the range of Saint Delan Square.]

[Note: You are allowed to bring any spellcasting materials into this tiline.]

[Note: Using the Ti Key to defeat any strong enemy allows you to return to "now."]

"Ti Key?"

Shard was taken aback, then felt sothing hit his head. He reached up and found he was holding the black Ti Key. Although it had been used, the key itself showed no cracks.

However, the appearance of this key here was quite strange:

"Weren’t the previous Ti Keys supposed to appear in my hand only after I returned? Also, how am I supposed to defeat a powerful enemy with a key?"

He imagined himself throwing the key fiercely like a needle, piercing the enemy’s skull, and quickly shook his head:

"Besides, what is the powerful enemy of the Bygone Era: Sixth Era?"

The questions he couldn’t understand kept piling up, so Shard simply stopped thinking and stepped forward.

As his right foot landed, the white mist slowly parted like a curtain to either side. Revealed before him was undoubtedly the living room of Room 1 on the second floor of Saint Delan Square.

"Oh!"

Before he had ti to look around, Shard clutched his forehead and fell to the ground, his body involuntarily twitching.

At the instant he entered this point in ti, it was as if the entire world’s terror, those twisted, blurred, indescribable sounds, and illusions all entered his mind. He felt countless hands grabbing him, trying to drag him into ultimate death, and also felt the entire world wailing in sorrow at its annihilation.

He sensed that all the signals his senses could perceive were speaking of ultimate death and chaos’s secret, speaking of the unwillingness and fear in annihilation.

Compared to this, the intensely chaotic spirits and elents around him, which he touched in any environnt, had a negligible impact.

"I forgot, last ti I saw this in a dream; this ti I’m really here..."

The dizziness he hadn’t felt in a long ti made him feel as if the entire world was spinning. The difference between here and the real world was greater than the difference between the living and the dead. This was truly a world of annihilation, where the world’s consciousness, all things existing and non-existent, inford the living Shard what "world destruction" really ant.

At this mont, even the divinity within his soul barely kept Shard from imdiately losing consciousness. But fortunately, the black Ti Key, held tightly in his hand, slowly ward up, and the warm aura from the "Dead Key" transmitted to Shard’s body.

The warmth helped Shard, whose body temperature was rapidly dropping, slowly "co back to life." The annihilated world accepted this living person, and the key to this world inford the world that the Outlander also belonged here.

[Outlander, you have perceived "Miracle," "Desecration," "Enlightennt," and "Whisper."]

"Her" gentle voice soothed the headache of Shard, who was gasping for breath and rejoicing in the warmth of life. Even stepping into "True Death" and returning to the living world, Shard had never so clearly touched the aning of the so-called "End Point."

The chaotic, bizarre elents silently entered Shard’s soul, and the annihilated world, with its whispers, revealed its secrets to the living Outlander.

As Shard tried to use his arm to support himself and get up from the dirty floor, large swathes of hot steam mist appeared behind him. The long whistle of a steam whistle and the distant chis sounded in the silent house, with the high-heat brass rings slowly erging.

As soon as the Ring of Fate appeared, it spun rapidly. Initially, the four-color aura flashed simultaneously, but soon only the Black Iron Spirit Light representing "Whisper" remained, pulling out a dazzling stream of light with the spin of the ring.

[At this ti, it is the End; at this place, it is the Final Era. The story has ended, the pages close, all things terminate. There is no story here.]

"Her" words seed sowhat sorrowful, but Shard, still feeling dizzy while holding the floor, didn’t notice. And the Ring of Fate behind him was slowly decelerating, as all the Black Iron Spirit Light gathered at the top center of the ring, bringing Shard his first Spirit Rune of the Six Rings.

[You have witnessed the end.]

[Outlander, you have engraved the Whisper - Termination Spirit Rune.]

Shard finally stood up, holding his head with a frown, looking back at his Ring of Fate, and saw the ancient runes written in an unknown language.

"This could..."

[Yes, "Shadow of Silvermoon guides the final direction," and "Termination" is one of the Spirit Runes within.]
