Capítulo 1497: Chapter 1497: Six Rings
Tens of thousands of red butterflies appeared in the snowy night, though no one knew when, and they were soon seen by everyone.
The peculiar red butterflies were translucent as they fluttered among the woods and clearings, their wings shedding tiny red glimrs.
They surrounded the figure heading to the clearing, as if playing with him, or perhaps accompanying him. The red butterflies quickly populated the woodland, and from sowhere ca the gentle song of a young girl.
Despite it being the eve of a decisive battle, despite the Material World teetering on the edge of disaster, the scene before them inexplicably turned the anxious and unsettling atmosphere into one of tranquility and… eeriness. The song was indeed youthful, yet sorrowful. Listening to it evoked a feeling as if a part of one’s heart was missing, a sense of losing the most crucial part of life, almost bringing tears.
“What is this?”
No one could answer the question, but everyone in the woods waiting for the final thirty-second signal saw the figure embraced by red butterflies erge from the petrified forest tinged with black mud, reaching the edge of the clearing. And at that mont, the swirling red butterflies were already filling the clearing, fluttering with the snowflakes like waves.
This was the illusion technique of the top humanoid Angel-Level Relic; though Helen and Grace were not at full strength, they had broken free from the shackles of a Fate curse, and truly together set foot on this land.
The towering petrified avatar of the Guardian lowered its head to gaze at that figure, and other gazes from the forest also directed toward him.
“God Summoner!”
Soone whispered, and Iluna, preparing to set off with the Church’s team, showed an excited expression upon seeing the red butterflies:
“Shard…”
Shard, advancing forward, had already closed his eyes, listening to the sorrowful songs of Helen and Grace.
After absorbing divinity from the Heart of the Earth, the powers he had been enduring, the burst of force, could finally be fully released at this mont. And in this brief mont of fulfilling a long-suppressed impulse, the sense of power felt even more potent than before:
“Please, prepare for ascension.”
Facing the gray snowflakes blowing against him, the red butterflies illuminated his blurry silhouette. In the shadows of the forest petrified by firelight behind him, Shard stepped forward on a virtual staircase ford by red butterflies, entering the air.
[Understood.]
“She” said gently, and at this mont, the drop of divinity about to be used actively resonated with the spirit rune [Shadow of the Moon].
Thus, above in the night sky with flying snowflakes and tens of thousands of translucent red butterflies, a large hole broke through the cloudy sky, and the moonlight of March illuminated Shard bathed in a vast steam mist calmly appearing behind him.
Inexplicable but endless hot and dense steam mist, suddenly, nearly covered the whole sky, but could not conceal the shadow illuminated by moonlight, entwined with red butterflies.
Dong! Dong! Dong!
Ancient bells resound, piercing steam whistles echo through the entire River Valley Creekland. In the city, Tifa holds Mia with a soft feeling, stands by the opera house window, listens to the bell, and looks northeast of the city. Miss Swift and Miss Haley Aflora beside her don’t know what it signifies, but she knows.
A black-haired maid showed a hint of a smile.
Wind rose in the woods, not the cold night breeze that blew all night, but as if from a distant past, the gentlest wind under the moon.
In the depths of the night sky where the vast steam mist gradually shrinks, great shadows erge, like a mighty presence lurking in the mist revealing its form. This mont felt as if thousands cheered simultaneously or thousands shouted simultaneously.
As if surpassing the moon in size, the Ring of Fate clearly appeared behind the figure in the air. The Brass Ring refracted March’s luminous glow, the Four-Color Spirit Rune resonated, dazzling gold, silver, brass, and black iron’s glimrs illuminated each face at this mont.
Luviya solemnly looked at Shard in the air, her purple eyes fixated solely on that figure. The two Red Butterfly Marks on her shoulder faintly glowed, while the transparent figure unseen by anyone behind her gazed directly at the golden cracks faintly appearing on Shard’s body.
Golden spiritual light spilled across Miss Aphrola’s face, her extraordinarily beautiful appearance holding a probing expression:
“It truly is him.”
Silver spiritual light illuminated Miss Galina’s troubled face:
“You must be cautious.”
Miss Sylvia bathed in moonlight, her face flushing with excitent:
“It really is him!”
Ciris stood in the shadow of a tree, most worried:
“You must co back.”
Only Miss Benanis, swept over alternately by the Four-Color Aura, still gazed absentmindedly at that figure. She fully understood the tale Shard was about to unfold:
“This is the best story, the best stage.”
Everyone in the church scattered in the woods looked up at the figure, yet only Iluna whispered softly in her heart:
“Each ti leaves
questioning who is truly The Chosen One. The commotion is more exaggerated every ti.”
Light and shadow intertwined on Shard, and with each acquisition and utilization of divinity, he indeed beca increasingly adept at wielding this power.
As the Ring of Fate clearly erged behind him, countless phantoms crossed paths at the massive center of the ring, among them the Red Butterflies dancing with Shard and the gray snowflakes, revealing even more extraordinary sights.
Shard opened his eyes and looked down at the Guardian finally turning his gaze toward him, as he stepped forward in mid-air.
Miracle – Thorns of the Moon / Shadow of the Moon—
Golden Spirit Rune detached from the ring, appearing to Shard’s left. A faceless woman wearing the Diadem of Thorns, holding a silver moon in her left hand, appeared, then overlapped with Shard’s body:
[When Silvermoon hangs high, thorns and shadows salute you.]
Nurous cracks appeared on Shard’s surface, and radiant golden light emanated outward.
Desecration – Arrogance—
Silver Spirit Rune detached from the ring, appearing to Shard’s right. The exaggerated movent of “Ston Osenfort” clapped his hands and slightly raised his head, walked toward Shard, then overlapped with Shard’s body.
[The Stone Mirror reflects your and the world’s arrogance.]
Silver moonlight almost transford Shard’s entire body into silver, with sparse Steam Mist lingering around him like liquid silver.
Enlightennt – Cinderella—
Brass Spirit Rune detached from the ring, appearing in front of Shard. The girl with a maid dress flapped her wings and flew towards Shard. She didn’t overlap with Shard’s body; her illusory figure spun around Shard and happily kissed his cheek, becoming a part of him.
Shard swore he had no idea what was happening.
[When the midnight bell tolls, it is the girl adhering to the pact under the moonlight.]
The illusion of “Fairy Tale Town” constructed by Fivefold Enigma flashed across the night sky; the brass Ring of Fate radiated light like the Sun.
Whisper – Puppet—
Black Iron Spirit Rune detached from the ring, appearing behind Shard. The puppet that appeared at Wilder Opera House, riding the puppet Flying Dragon, flew towards Shard at a speed seemingly intending to crash into him, then overlapped with Shard’s body.
[All is but fate’s puppets… except you and .]
Everyone on the ground, including the Guardian, quietly watched the scene in the sky. Though unable to clearly see Shard’s face or the ring due to the glimr and Red Butterflies, it didn’t hinder their perception of the extraordinary power.
“Indeed, the God Summoner is a Demigod…”
Golden Miracle, Silver Desecration, Brass Enlightennt, Black Iron Whisper, the Four-Color Spirit Runes surrounded Shard in a quadrilateral, gradually contracting inward. Four atypical phantoms truly overlapped with his body; simultaneously, the illusions in the snowy night and dense mist vanished, leaving only the Red Butterfly swarm accompanying Shard. As the Sun-like brass ring continued to ascend, it eventually fully aligned with the three moons in the night sky, seen through the center of the ring appearing as three differently sized moons embedded within it.
Shard’s figure at this mont transford entirely into glimring light, even his rough physical contours beca unobservable. Brand new power was gestating within him, another step toward the path to Deification.
[Outlander, guide a drop of divinity, saturating the Spirit Rune prepared for “Sublimation Incantation”.]
The gentle whisper lingered at his ear, and the drip~ sound seed like water splashing onto his heart.
The soul-guided golden liquid saturated the final Spirit Rune of the Five Rings Sublimation Incantation, reflecting the ancient Evil Spirit upon Shard’s image:
“Miracle – Shadow of the Moon.”
The light dissipated, but rippling golden waves spread outward. Though the wind and snow hadn’t ceased, all sound seed paused at this mont.
When the golden waves signifying divinity touched the edge where Iluna stood, the seventeen-year-old girl suddenly shook all over. At that mont, her eyes seed to ignite like a rising Sun; all past explorations of new powers entirely converged at this instant. The pulsating power in her heart silently rged into her physique, she sensed an understanding of the power she truly desired.
Divinity absorbed by the Spirit Rune, yet the divine glow still illuminated Shard. His body gradually lowered toward the ground, but his eyes remained fixed on the Guardian in the clearing.
The massive earthen colossus finally probed its foot toward the descending Shard. But in the next mont, the Witch’s Light illuminating the night sky lted the entire colossus into soft clay like the Sun lting snow.
Thus, none of the other Guardian soil avatars attempted to hinder Shard further. Only new avatars filled the original breach after Shard crossed the boundary guarded by the colossi.
