Capítulo 1494: Chapter 1494: A Story Completely Changed

Individual mories cannot compete with the ancient mory of the Earth, yet the Guardian’s body contains the unique individual, “Mr. Lathis.” So, in the distant night sky, the Ascension Incantation in the gray mist dispersed. Despite the Guardian possessing superior power, under the indirect influence of Ciris’s mory, both sides ended up evenly matched.

anwhile, Ciris, after montarily resisting those mad ravings, let out a muffled groan and had to proactively sever her mory threads’ connection.

But this seemingly bold act wasn’t without gains; she touched upon so incredible information from the consciousness of that Guardian shaped like her own father.

“Destruction!”

Luviya, reaching over Ciris’s shoulder, struck out with a palm, blasting another small section of the forest into an ash-covered clearing. The Witch, manipulated by Ciris’s mory, borrowed the earth’s power to search for the next appearance of the Guardian’s clone.

But after all, that was rely the Witch from her mory, unable even to use the Witch’s secret technique. So when the Guardian reappeared unhard, and the black mud ford a hemispherical do surrounding the two of them, Ciris had to admit she was entirely out of options.

Luviya still watched their opponent with a serious expression, swiftly exchanging battlefield information with “her” next to her ear. Perceiving the battle with the Thirteen-Ring Sorcerer farther away having entered the next phase, after a brief period of being influenced by Ciris, the Mad Guardian still managed to suppress two church Thirteen-Rings just by relying on itself, so she knew she couldn’t wait any longer.

Determined to use her own Low Ring Ascension Incantation, “May Starlight Bless You, Future Noble King,” although the violet-eyed girl had never used this power since advancing to the Inner Ring, she had an intuition that even if the effect of the Ascension Incantation couldn’t be as exaggerated as Shard’s, it should be sufficient for such “general situations”.

“Indeed, it’s enough.”

The gentle whisper of her own voice and the readiness from both “she” and herself. Although Shard changed many things, Luviya also understood she couldn’t always rely on Shard to do everything. “She” wasn’t entirely powerless, and Luviya Fiocchi Annette wasn’t a weakling hiding behind a man.

So Luviya told Ciris:

“I might fall unconscious for a while, but don’t worry about , Shard will soon show up.”

Saying this, Luviya didn’t even notice the smile appearing on her face. So many bygone Sixth Eras had never achieved this, yet she, not Ciris, faced the challenge, accomplishing it just like that. The girl hidden in Luviya’s soul once again profoundly experienced this distinctive Sixth Era.

Luviya didn’t give Ciris the chance to refuse, intending to use her power in a nearly soul-burning manner, forcibly in an unprepared state when the fourth footstep sound echoed around.

The Guardian clone standing in the black mud seed more surprised than both Luviya and Iluna. He directly gave up the continued attack on the two girls, directing all the black mud to the eastern woodland.

The night was deep, and even Luviya, with her special eyes, could barely see a giant stone mirror reflecting the soil duplicate of the Guardian.

Black mist appeared from nowhere, completely obscuring their sight. At that mont, all sounds and light around were suppressed; sothing more bizarre appeared in the woodland.

Luviya held Ciris’s hand, wanting to take advantage of the ti to leave this increasingly eerie area, when Ciris exclaid:

“The Guardian’s power has temporarily disappeared in this region!”

The surrounding remnants of black mud quickly evaporated. When the black mist dispersed, the Guardian who had entered the woodland to face the towering mirror had already vanished. The sounds and light returned to normal, and the sound of boots crunching on snow ca closer until the slightly disheveled Dr. Schneider appeared before them.

“Doctor?”

Luviya was probably the most surprised here, since the doctor knew she was in the Randall Valley, while Ciris, who didn’t recognize the man before her, was also surprised.

“Good evening, Annette, it’s been two months, hasn’t it? Hope you haven’t fallen behind in your Academy coursework, seeing as the sumr exam week isn’t far off, and aren’t you two subjects short for your Registered Diviner exams?”

Dr. Schneider removed the hood of his robe, looking out of breath:

“I really can’t imagine seeing such ghostly weather in the Month of Rising Wind. I truly prefer Tobesk City more, and the Spring City Randall Valley’s fa must be largely exaggerated, as it feels like the dead of winter.”

“This year’s weather is unusual; normally, it’s spring by now here… Doctor, why are you here? In the Randall Valley?!”

Luviya couldn’t help but ask, and Ciris took a step back. Simultaneously, she glanced behind the doctor, but there was nothing there.

The middle-aged doctor shrugged:

“Your caution is correct because theoretically, I really shouldn’t be here right now. However, that’s a question you should ask Shard, not . As for that peculiar stone figure earlier, I’ve already taken care of it.”

He tossed the black stone heart he held in his hand:

“This seems to be the core of that body, truly filthy and foul.”

Saying so, he crushed the black stone heart. Of course, it wasn’t because Dr. Schneider possessed particularly strong power that he could defeat the Nine Rings Guardian clone with the Seventh Ring, but purely because the power of the “Stone Mirror Demon: Goethe” sowhat countered the Guardian.

Ciris also understood that the elegant blue-eyed middle-aged man was Shard’s friend, but she still did not understand:

“The Power of the Crazy Earth has accumulated here to a terrifying extent, sir, how is it that you are unaffected?”

This is of course due to the power of the Stone Mirror Demon, but the doctor couldn’t explain too clearly:

“Regarding that, perhaps you should ask Shard instead. Oh, should I prove my identity?”

Although Luviya was sowhat certain that the person in front of her was Bill Schneider, who was supposed to be resting in Tobesk City’s psychology clinic, she still asked:

“If one day Shard wants to make a will, to whom will he leave his inheritance?”

Without hesitation, the doctor said:

“Of course to his cat, you, and Luisa… Don’t look at

like that; your affairs, do you think I cannot understand them? I am indeed a psychologist, best at observing expressions and changes in emotions. Oh, and part of it, he’d probably give to Priest Augustus to donate to the church for helping orphans.”

Upon hearing “cat,” Luviya was completely certain it was the doctor; hearing about herself and Dorothy made her a bit embarrassed. But in any case, Luviya was relieved. She took the black shard of the stone heart and handed it to Ciris, who used her own Arcane Technique:

“Power of the Earth: mory of the Soil.”

A few strands of black mory threads connected from the black shard to her palm, and monts later, that stone heart completely turned to ash:

“The Guardian ca to the surface for two reasons.

First, Miss Beyas and Shard found him in the Heart of the Earth. They have a way to reverse his madness, and Shard gave him a dangerous feeling, so he left the Heart of the Earth.

Then, the most important reason, we want to stop the spread of the Crazy Earth, and he wants to accelerate the spread of the Crazy Earth, until the final and irreversible Fifth Phase occurs. As long as he walks on the Earth, those pollutants sourced from the Earth’s essence will rapidly erode normal soil, and if he sacrifices himself to the Earth in the center of this critical earthquake location in the most ancient and original way, then everything will be irrevocable.”

Luviya frowned, feeling not at all surprised, as if she had known for a very long ti that such a thing would happen. Upon hearing this information, her first reaction was surprisingly “since Ciris is here, let her sacrifice.”

“Oh, what am I thinking?”

Thankfully, this response, seemingly sourced from instinct, was jointly suppressed by emotion and reason.

The purple-eyed girl said to Dr. Schneider, who was sowhat unclear about the situation:

“Doctor, can you assist us? We need to go in that direction, can you protect us along the way?”

Doctor pondered for a mont:

“Shard told

to go and et at the Night Shrine.”

That was the location Shard inford the doctor of when leaving Osenfort Estate, unaware at that ti that the Ti Key would guide him back to walk the Path of Night again, hence he could not foresee today’s events.

“Then how did you end up here? The location is sowhat off…”

The middle-aged doctor couldn’t admit he got lost en route and only just found the right direction.

“The plan changed; Shard will appear soon.”

Luviya continued, prompting the doctor to nod:

“Alright, extending a helping hand to ladies in need is indeed what I’m supposed to do. However, definitely do not tell

what you’re doing; I have a premonition that this is going to be an extrely troubleso affair, and if I get involved, with my bad luck, it might lead to more unexpected issues… Also, you must walk behind , you absolutely cannot co in front of .”

Although this request was quite strange, Luviya and Ciris still nodded and agreed.

Thus, Dr. Schneider donned the hood of his cloak again, leading the way for the ladies. With his hands joined in front of his chest, slowly opening them, a small black stone mirror floating and slowly rotating silently appeared in front of him.

The mirror reflected the entire world, as if absorbing it:

“Power of the Earth: Filthy Mirror.”

The black mud flowing towards the three of them divergent quietly under Dr. Schneider’s feet, splitting to the left and right. Just like the outco of those stories that happened ti and again on this land, finally changing its course in front of Luviya.
