"Good afternoon, Mrs. Dorothy, and Mr. New Host."

The new mber’s voice was pleasant. Rosalind turned her head and saw a young girl sitting down, her seat right beside the boy’s left hand.

"Good afternoon, Miss Christian, it has been a long ti."

"Yes, the last ti we t was two years ago. Fate separated us but destined us to reunite." After saying this, the young girl turned to Tim beside her: "Little Tim, we et again. Have you decided on the trade with your sister Christian this ti?"

Mr. Tim held his own, his expression as just as Mr. Chariot’s had been monts before.

It seed to be an interesting segnt where one creature subdued another; as Rosalind pondered this, she heard footsteps again.

So familiar footsteps.

She thought this as she turned to look behind her, only to see an elf erging from the corridor.

"Good afternoon, Your Excellency of the Tower." Rosalind greeted imdiately—in the previous gathering, this elf wizard had indeed blessed her and John, and one doesn’t take a legendary blessing lightly.

"Ah, Mrs. Teresa, good afternoon. How is your husband?"

"Very well, thanks to the esteed attendees that day." Rosalind felt a shiver of fear at the thought of what had happened that day—for she had blurted out, without thinking, that she held John’s soul. If the distinguished guests hadn’t been rciful, given the deep animosity between wizards and dark wizards, she would’ve been dead already.

"It’s nothing, Mrs. Teresa; just rember, next ti it’s best to say everything at once, otherwise, if a Thainan wizard appears, you might just be dead." After saying this, the elf turned to Malin: "Good afternoon, Star Observer, thank you for your help to our kind."

"It was nothing." Malin smiled and nodded his head, while a teacup wrapped in Spiritual Energy flew towards him: "Co, have a cup of tea. It’s a rare green tea from Thainan, a rare find indeed since the Great Destruction Era, it has beco very hard to find."

Was Malin reminiscing about the tis before the Great Destruction Era?

Rosalind amused herself with the thought, then chuckled at her imagination—Malin looked to be no more than twenty, how could he possibly reminisce about a world before the Great Destruction, an era from a ti so long ago?

"Thank you, Your Excellency." The elf took the teacup and then seated herself to the right of Malin.

"Today seems to have more people than before." A voice ca from behind Rosalind, a young girl’s voice emitting a curious noise, like that of a small animal.

Then Rosalind heard Malin’s puzzled greeting: "Isn’t that soone from the North?"

Was this so Thanan slang?

The North? Who from the North?

Was this an indirect way of acknowledging her presence while reminding her to be aware of him?

Rosalind was puzzled by Malin’s apparent connection with the newcor as she turned to look behind her.

There was a girl holding a little dog, wearing a large blue soft hat, a pretty little vest, a knee-length skirt befitting a lady, and seemingly thick silk stockings.

"It’s you!" she cried out like a small animal in distress.

"Yes, it’s . Co here." Mr. Malin motioned with a gesture, smiling a smile befitting a Hunter: "This ti, you must have plenty to write about."

"I’m not a fool!" The girl retorted, yet obediently walked up to Malin.

"Never would have guessed it was really you." Malin reached out to pinch her cheek, then flipped her eyelid, before finally patting her head: "Go find a chair to sit... By the way, what was your na again?"

"It happens to be Miss Temperance, Star Observer," Dorothy interjected.

Malin visibly grimaced, patting Miss Temperance’s head: "Go on, take a seat, and rember, you’re joining tonight to et a friend."

"Why don’t you take one of your lovers with you!" Miss Temperance let out a whimper like a small animal.

"They’re too conspicuous, while you, you’re much more low-key," Malin explained.

Rosalind raised an eyebrow—ah, Malin was truly just philandering; look, among his lovers were elves, orcs, mutants, dostics fairies, and now finally a human as well.

Miss Temperance left Malin’s side sowhat unhappily, her little dog now tangling with three half-grown snow leopards. However, its owner clearly didn’t care about its safety; quite obviously, she had confidence in it. Miss Temperance sat down beside Rosalind.

Rosalind watched as the little dog began inflating like a balloon, apparently unable to maintain its role as a small dog any longer.

Then she noticed Malin turning to look at the little dog.

The dog’s inflation was interrupted, it whimpered like its owner and reverted to its small dog state, then got mauled by the three half-grown snow leopards—one biting its head, another its belly, and a third its legs, yet they couldn’t pierce its skin.

It seed the little ones had found quite a nice toy.

No wonder its owner was unconcerned, not for lack of love, but because of unwavering trust in it.

Footsteps from the corridor sounded again and Rosalind turned to look towards the exit, where a woman in a wizard’s robe stood, yet her grandeur as a female was unmistakable: "His Excellency of Strength was not wrong, there indeed is a new host, I am Lady Moon. I greet you, Star Observer," she said at the entrance.
