Maya struggled to control herself, not to cry out—since just now, she hadn’t been able to see her brother in the mirror anymore.

Like Colin, her brother Malin had disappeared into the mirror, and her own reflection had also undergone a huge transformation; flas had altered her appearance, whether it was her ears or her tail, all were replaced by burning fire.

Maya didn’t know how all this had co about, nor did she know the reasons behind it, she only knew that her once beautiful life had co crashing down at this mont.

Her brother had not noticed anything and was working hard at the workbench—ever since that classmate nad Logan had co over, brother Malin had been fiddling with those engineering wonders.

"Maya, rember tomorrow is the fifth day, Bonfire Night, let’s dance," her brother said without turning his head, asking Maya while working.

Maya pursed her lips, "Okay."

The sound of her choked sob made her brother turn his head out of curiosity, looking at Maya’s helpless and pitiful figure sitting on the sofa. He stood up, ca over to touch Maya’s forehead, then smiled shyly as if he had thought of sothing, "Drink more hot water."

Maya was full of question marks.

Her brother must be talking nonsense.

Right, it must be nonsense, suggesting she drink hot water at a ti like this, not knowing that Pansear Cat People hate hot water the most.

Thinking this, Maya turned her head to glance at the floor mirror beside her, finding her brother perfectly intact in the mirror, and herself back to her original appearance.

Maya was stunned for a mont. Her brother noticed her distraction, so he turned his head to look at the mirror, then patted Maya on the head with a smile, "Don’t worry, Logan is offering a job as an assistant. Tomorrow at noon, there’s a spirit expulsion job at the abandoned factory on the outskirts of the city."

"It’s very dangerous, isn’t it!" Maya’s eyes widened—surely it was so, with her brother by her side, there would be no problem, but if he left, sothing was bound to happen.

Thinking this, Maya began to dislike that human nad Logan.

Why doesn’t he just die!

"It’s not dangerous. According to the intelligence, there are only so Headless Savages and Wraith Spiritual Bodies, so I am now making Holy Flash Grenades and Silver Penetration Grenades. These things can combat Spiritual Bodies very effectively, and besides, big brother has already mastered the powerful three-ringed Blessing Spell." Maya’s brother said, rubbing her cheek, "If all goes well, we’ll be back before dinner. Maya, let’s have grilled at tomorrow night, your favorite."

Maya smiled... Wait a minute, Maya! What are you smiling for! Your brother is facing danger! Mr. Logan, why don’t you go die!

Maya scread in the depths of her heart, while her brother got up with a smile and walked towards the workbench. Maya could only watch as her brother gradually disappeared in the mirror, and after he vanished completely, Maya saw her appearance once again replaced by flas.

"Brother..."

"Hmm, Maya, I’m listening."

The conversation between brother and sister stopped here. Maya jumped down from the sofa, and just as she was about to approach her brother, begging him not to go, Cat Girl noticed in the mirror that her appearance had changed back again. She looked towards her brother again to find that the brother in the mirror was turning around, "What is it, Maya?"

The brother in the mirror seed to open his arms to her.

Maya didn’t know what was going on, but that didn’t stop the little Leopard Girl from throwing herself into her brother’s arms.

Her brother was pushed onto the workbench, and a Holy Flash Grenade toppled to the table. Maya and her brother watched as the round little object tumbled from the table and heavily crashed to the floor.

The next second, a warm and blinding flash lit up the entire room.

......

Colin sat in the garden smoking, feeling sowhat uncomfortable after using the Teleportation Array twice in the span of just five minutes—young people like him shouldn’t really play with such a delicate ’toy’, because it places high demands on users and passengers, not suitable for children or the elderly, and even so young people experience painful reactions to teleportation.

Colin had good tolerance, but consecutive uses took their toll, as under normal circumstances only beings of level three nobility or above and mages could use it without side effects.

That’s why the young man felt dizzy and only wanted to wake up properly and then have a good sleep.

The return of Margaret’s family mbers was indeed troubleso, but at this mont, Colin really had no idea what to do with them.

No matter what, Margaret’s two mothers would surely sentence him to death tomorrow morning—Colin knew Lady Anna didn’t like him, and he was unclear if The Queen Leman had anything to do with this.

Just as he thought this, an explosion sounded from a room in the nearby dormitory building, followed by intense light shining from within.

Damn, so kid must’ve triggered a flash grenade by mistake.

With this thought, Colin walked over, pushed open the room door, and saw Malin and Maya tangled up on the floor.

"... Doesn’t make sense, Malin, what happened?" Colin said with a wry smile as he helped up the little rascal he ntioned.

"My sister threw herself at and I knocked over a flash grenade that wasn’t secured. I was ant to add so extra stuff to it, but it rolled off the table." Malin’s eyes were watering—the holy light was harmless, but the brightness was still very uncomfortable for the eyes.
