Malin also thought the sa, but he couldn’t resist the Thanan envoy’s sincerity. When the blueprint of Faye’s kind of lightsaber was slapped on Malin’s face, Malin swore he was truly sowhat surprised.

Our kingdom doesn’t even know how this thing works, or what its internal structure is like; how do you have a complete set of blueprints?

Then the Thanan envoy explained that the blueprint was a copy, with the original kept in their great library. Hearing about new marvels, they wanted to join the celebration, and naturally, since they were asking for help, they had to show ample sincerity.

Several mbers of the Church of Goodness were extrely excited about this blueprint—this thing could be activated with positive energy, which even apprentices in their churches could use. It was compact and easy to carry, cut through Chaos different kind like a hot knife through butter, ignored armor, dealt damage to the soul with very strong alignnt targeting, and most importantly, their opponents usually couldn’t even use it if they got their hands on it, so there was no chance of arming the enemy with it.

And with their vote of approval, Malin had nothing more to say—he was happy to see this unfold anyway. As long as humanity could gain more advantages against Spirits and the different kind, Malin wouldn’t mind at all.

"The Thanan folks really throw their weight around with money; is this thing easy to build?" Although the Instructor Et-Selch was a profound dark knight versed in negative energy, he greatly appreciated anything that could strengthen the ally’s power.

"Starstone." Malin didn’t ntion any other materials, only the one the Thanan people used to replace the original, causing Instructor Et-Selch to sigh, "That stuff’s priceless. Why do I feel like the Southerners are trying to trap us into giving sothing for nothing?"

"Not necessarily, think about it. They have tested many materials, and both we and they have many exclusive materials. We could also try replacing it with sothing else." Malin thought the deal was at least not a loss.

"Then we can only hope the Goddess of Fortune lifts her skirt for us." Instructor Et-Selch finished his cigarette and leaned back in his chair, then stood up as he watched the arena: "The half-sized kids are down, I’ll go pick them up."

Malin watched him walk away, then smiled at Faye in the team.

Faye noticed Malin too. She smiled and squinted her eyes, her pupils turned golden because of her lineage, filled with the implications only a predator would have. Malin turned his head and tossed the cigarette in his mouth into the nearby trash can while tossing almost half a pack of cigarettes to the young instructor: "You guessed the score difference, right?"

The predator smiled, and Malin almost cried from laughing—those fifty sticks in the box were worth quite so money.

At that mont, the wolf girl Jessica walked up to Faye. She looked towards Malin, smiling and wrapped her arm around Faye’s, the two girls walked towards Malin, chatting and laughing.

"Nicely done, girls." Malin leaned back in his chair and lazily waved to the two girls.

"We haven’t had our sisters around lately; I hear you’ve been lightening our load again?" Faye bent down to look at Malin, always at the forefront of vocabulary as a mage.

"Where did you learn that phrase, how interesting." Malin’s survival instinct quickly overca his natural response, and he hastily pulled out a box of candy: "Here, the finest Thanan candies."

The wolf girl laughed and took the box, then followed the team led by Faye.

"I’ve heard from guys with girlfriends that their girlfriends hate it when they smoke; why didn’t Princess Faye hit Mr. Malin just now?" a young instructor asked, feigning confusion.

"You don’t need to hear about it. When my girlfriend saw smoking, she would have kicked with a scissor kick when she ca over." another young instructor lanted.

"Why do you have a girlfriend? There’s no friendship between us anymore, you bastard!" another young instructor roared in anger.

Malin watched these fellows with a bit of a headache—why weren’t they this noisy when they fought yesterday? If they started fighting down below, Malin could join in happily.

Even if his fists broke chairs and stools, it was enough for Malin to get a bit of action in.

Ah, so boring, so eager to fulfill his own desires, why did living in a different world also feel like being a corporate drone?

Slumping in his chair, Malin found this life as an instructor really too dull.

This world, it’s not worth it.

Then he was pulled up by the young instructors: "Let’s go, Mr. Malin, we need to give up our seats."

Following the tutors out of the competition arena, Malin saw that the Faye family’s carriage had already arrived. After greeting the young leading tutor’s wife, he hopped into the carriage, ready to embrace the girls with open arms.

"You’re all sweaty, it’s disgusting," the two girls said in unison.

So Malin collapsed against the back of the seat and continued to play dead.

......

"Why do I feel like your brother is listless today? Has that sly fox been squeezing him dry lately?" Faye asked Maya with so concern as soon as they t in the bathroom.

That damned sly fox, she had only felt sorry for her before, but now, the creature had so brazenly joined their group.

"Squeezing dry? What’s that?" Maya asked, looking curious.

Faye fell silent for a mont, then turned to Clovis who had followed them in, "Who has that sly fox been sleeping with these past few days?"

"," Clovis huffed, sounding sowhat disgruntled, "Every ti she hugs , I feel terrible. Doesn’t she consider the pressure on ? She’s a carnivore!"

"Oh, you sleep together," Jessica and Faye said curiously, "So what is Mr. Malin doing then?"

"He hasn’t slept these past few days; he’s been working, writing all night long," Clovis looked at the two noblewon as she spoke, "Do you think it’s because of Matilda? Ah, that bad fox might seem cunning, but she really has no concept of gender relationships. She even asked if you get pregnant from sleeping in the sa room as Mr. Malin."

"She didn’t even bring up the concept of a bed?" Both noble young won were visibly surprised.

"No, her concept is the room. I think the fact she didn’t ntion the house is the greatest rcy the God of Knowledge has shown ," Clovis said as she slipped into the pool, "Speaking of which, why would you think that?"

"Because Mr. Malin looked so lifeless, we thought..." Faye began, but then noticed Lillim pushing open the door to the bathroom, "Where’s Matilda?"

"In the shower stall, she doesn’t seem to like baths," Lillim said, glancing in the direction of the showers, "Not coming, really?"

"Really not coming!" Matilda answered in her distinct shrill voice.

So Miss Sheep went to the poolside and dived into the misty waters, "Mr. Malin has already fallen asleep on the couch; I’ve covered him with a blanket."

"...Alright, it looks like Mr. Malin is just purely exhausted," Jessica shook her head, "It looks like a lot has happened while we were preparing for battle."

"Yes, a lot of things, but anyhow it’s a good thing, isn’t it? Mr. Malin is very serious when he’s working," Clovis, perched at the edge of the pool, looked up at the ceiling, "I could have slept last night but then Thanan people ca looking for him, and he went with that Thanan to the Church of Justice. They talked until dawn before he ca back, leaving in bed all scared, snuggling with Matilda."

"What are you scared of, you’re a mage?" Lillim said, slightly puzzled, but proudly stroking her horns, "If she dares bare her teeth at , I’d butt her."

"At 75 kiloters per hour?" Jessica arched her eyebrows, smiling to reveal her teeth.

"We’re so familiar now, you can smile even bigger," the Bunny Girl and Sheep Girl sat together, the forr conjuring a Fireball in her hand, the latter an ice orb.

Jessica covered her mouth with her hand.

Faye slapped her forehead, "Can you please act a little more mature? Mr. Malin is exhausted. If anyone wakes him up, I’ll hang you from the tower, stark naked."

With that, all the animal girls in the pool sat quietly.
