It could be said that Malin’s ergency aid skills were learned from Old Ferrero—during his years in the troops, he dealt mainly with fractures and abrasions, and the ergency procedures he had learned before had never been used. It wasn’t until this past half a year, having dissected quite a few cadavers, that he acquired such surgical capability. However, in Old Ferrero’s words, Malin’s surgery seed less like saving people and more like dissecting them.

Why are the old man’s expectations so high?

As Malin thought to himself, he helped Logan remove the arrow from his leg, then stitched up the wounds one by one and had the guards drag him away.

With no new injured coming in and most of the others already saved, Malin noticed a group nearby who had ceased their life-saving efforts and walked over. He saw the person lying on the ground: "Is he dead?"

"There’s no heartbeat anymore," the young priest in charge of the rescue sighed.

"Let try," Malin said, pushing him aside, while a peer on the other side watched Malin: "My brother is already dead."

"If it’s just cardiac arrest, that doesn’t necessarily an he is dead. I can’t rest easy if we don’t try. Are you content to let it be if he isn’t?" Malin asked, rolling up his sleeves.

The youngster thought about it and finally shook his head, large tears welling up in his eyes: "... You’re right, Sir Malin."

Malin placed his hands over the injured party’s right chest: "Your brother’s heart should be on the right side, right?"

"What do you an?" The youngster was puzzled.

But the young priest had already thought of sothing: "Are you thinking of restarting the stopped heart by externally compressing it? That’s incredibly difficult! This technique has so far only existed in theory in ergency aid courses!"

"Then co and give it a try with , lift his head," Malin said and began the compression.

Unlike others who applied pressure, Malin had plenty of strength; his only need for control was not about managing his stamina but about controlling the force. Otherwise, applying full force in one compression would likely break all the right-side ribs of the person.

"By the way, do you know how to do artificial respiration?" Malin asked the young priest.

Taken aback, the latter shook his head: "What is artificial respiration?"

"It’s where you blow air into this injured person’s mouth mouth to mouth." Malin explained while continuing the compressions, causing the young priest to frown: "This is a girl!"

Now it was Malin’s turn to pause: "How could that be possible! This fellow’s chest is totally flat!"

The young priest’s face grew sad, but the peer bravely took over the job of artificial respiration: "Let do it! My sister won’t bla !"

After two cycles, Malin paused and felt the neck but still could not detect a pulse, so he opened up the youngster’s outer garnt.

Just as the youngster was about to say sothing, he saw the electric current dancing in Malin’s hands and quickly stopped the artificial respiration.

Faye took out a bottle and poured the potion on the chest of the injured, Malin glanced at Jessica: "Electrostimulation, first ti."

Then he pressed his hands onto the wounded’s chest, and two arcs of electricity caused the person to twitch.

Lifting his hands, Jessica quickly felt the injured’s neck: "Nothing!"

"Electrostimulation! Second ti!" Malin pressed down again, and another two arcs were released, causing the injured to twitch and then open her eyes. Instinctively, she reached for Malin’s face.

Her hand paused in front of Malin’s face, and it seed she ca back to her senses. She looked at Malin and then at her classmates gathered around her: "Am I... am I not dead?"

"Sister!" the youngster wailed, embracing his... sister.

Well, she definitely sounded like a girl, but who could’ve known previously when her face was covered in blood.

The young priest was already starting to shoo people away: "Move aside, move aside!" He said it while taking off his coat and then covered the injured person with it.

"Wait, how did my clothes co off?" It was only then that the injured person noticed sothing was amiss.

"We were trying to save you, your heart had stopped a mont ago." The young priest along with her brother explained the whole situation to her once more, which brought the sowhat angry girl back to a reasonable state. She sat up and said thank you to Malin.

"No need, I took a look at your wound, there’s none in front, you must have used your back to shield it. Bone fractures, compression, and bruises caused the cardiac arrest. My personal suggestion is that you get the fracture dealt with, otherwise you won’t be able to sleep tonight," Malin said with a smile.

"Well, thanks anyway, Mr. Malin," the girl said, then turned to look at the kid who was still choking back sobs: "Jamie, don’t cry. Your sister is alive again, isn’t she?"

"But you almost died because of !" The youngster cried bitterly.

"Mr. Malin saved , tell him thank you for ," his sister patted his head.

So the little guy sat up straight and bowed deeply to Malin, "Thank you! Your Excellency!"

"I saved your sister because of her bravery and her desire to protect you, so thank her," Malin patted his little head, "Alright, since everything’s fine now, I’m going to go."

At that mont, there were no more injured on the scene, they had all been taken care of and sent into the back hall.

Just as Malin was about to leave, the young Priest ca running over, "Wait a mont, Malin, could you let record the technique you just used? If we could systematically collect it and publish it, we could save many lives!"

Malin’s first thought was that it was a hassle, but the young Priest wasn’t wrong, saving a life was more ritorious than creating a seven-tiered pagoda: "Alright, let’s discuss the CPR technique then, how about it?"

"That would be great, for your friends... I have so vouchers here from the newly opened pastry shop, here, take them and buy sothing to eat."

He handed them to Maya, who smiled as she accepted the vouchers and thanked him, then passed them to Faye.

"Alright, girls, go buy so pastries first. Oh, and don’t forget my glutinous rice treat," Malin said to Faye while following the young Priest to the back hall.

Faye nodded with a smile, giving Malin a blow kiss—a new piece of knowledge she’d learned from a detective series: "We’ll co back later, tonight I’ll take everyone to my villa for dinner."

Malin smiled back and then followed the young Priest into the back hall.

As he entered, he saw Colin rushing into the front hall in a frenzy, "The injured, where are they?"

"All taken care of, Colin, co here," the young Priest beckoned.

Colin quickly ran over, "It was you! It must have been Your Excellency who saved them!"

Your Excellency? Malin was taken aback for a mont, the young Priest didn’t seem as young as he had thought.

"Not at all, I just helped out a little, this body is still too weak, but this young man here used his knowledge of first aid to just save a child’s life," the smiling man said, turning to look at Malin, who suddenly realized—he had never seen his exact features from the beginning, yet he had not reacted at all, as if this Faceless One had always been a normal person.

"You’ve co to understand, good, you are the first child to break free from the ntal suggestion on your own," the smiling man’s face began to materialize features, revealing a very handso young man: "I am the God of Misery, these children’s courage and faith have deeply moved , I tried to save them, but my power is too strong, if I had intervened, the child would indeed have lived, but soon he would have died from being overwheld by an excessive Spell Formation... but you, a mortal, have achieved what even I could not."

"I am sowhat overwheld, Your Excellency, from the beginning to the end, all I wanted was to save every one of my comrades," Malin said to the incarnation of the Deity in a very serious tone.

"That aligns with my principles, child, I can feel the conviction in your heart, so I won’t compel you to beco my follower or Divine Envoy, but please, the techniques you used to save her, write them down without any reservation, this world needs knowledge like that, just like the ones stored in your mind," the Deity said with a smile.

His words made Malin nod, "Your Excellency, I believe in your sincerity, I trust that after acquiring this knowledge we will be better able to help this world."

"Co then, oh, and Colin, you too, I will open a gateway for you, we’re going to the northlands, there are many wounded there, and my Divine Envoy can last another half an hour." After speaking, the Deity opened a portal.

"What will we do after half an hour?" Malin asked.

"After half an hour, the descent of the Deity will end, and my Divine Envoy will send you back to Carterburg."

With this assurance, Malin felt at ease.

.........

"Mr. Malin is really amazing!" Clovis expressed among the girls, "A person like that, if it were before, would surely have died, I can’t believe Malin could save him."

"I think so too, obviously, he was as good as dead, and that man could be saved, all thanks to Mr. Malin," Jessica said and then paused to think, "Speaking of which, Malin sharing his technique should earn him a reward, right?"

"Definitely, by the way, did any of you notice the face of that Priest, can any of you rember what he looked like?" As soon as Faye said this, Jessica was the first to react, "Right! I just realized I can’t rember that guy at all."

"Sa here." Clovis frowned.

"That’s right, I didn’t pay attention to his looks either," Lillim wrinkled her nose, "There’s sothing wrong with that guy!"

It was then that Maya raised her hand, "I recognize him."

"What, you know him?!" Faye turned to look at Maya.

"Yes, he looks like a very young man," Maya said.
