The other alien that lunged at Ails was turned to ashes by a re gesture from him, the Lich shook his head.

· Completely without magic resistance, my death finger hit it like a Shalu beast.

Malin chuckled and shook his head at this taphor, while simultaneously crushing the unlucky alien in his hand, which had delivered itself to its death inexplicably.

He tossed the corpse aside and watched Pagy’s performance with keen interest.

And this Ranger Knight drew a sword, nimbly dodging the first alien’s lunge, slicing the incoming long tail cleanly while cutting the second alien in half.

The sharp longsword sliced open the alien’s body, and instantly encased its carcass in ice.

The first alien roared and lunged at him, but it missed—Malin watched as Pagy evaded the blow with a speed beyond mortal comprehension, holding the sword horizontally, and the alien seed to leap onto the blade itself, ending in a decapitated fate.

This Ranger Knight wiped the excess from his longsword with his bony hand, then sheathed it.

What was that blink just now, was it a skill of the Ranger Knight’s native profession?

It looked interesting.

"What kind of commission would you accept?" Malin thought to himself and asked.

· Preferably a hard currency usable in Mark City.

Malin tossed him a small pouch of World Tree fruits, and he caught it, nodding imdiately.

· This will do, in Mark City, these are highly sought after; this sack of fruits is enough for to serve you for a year.

Malin nodded, simultaneously discarding his original idea of monthly wages into Subspace.

Since the transaction was complete, Malin had Ails resurrect the alien beneath his feet, then sent it off to continue the pursuit, while instructing the pilot on the airship to summon a squad of airships for intensive ground reconnaissance in the nearby areas—unless there was an underground hollow, Malin believed the Queen would have no escape.

......

Five minutes later, Malin was about to slap his own face—the resurrected alien reached a hole, from which one could see the corroded shell of a refuge.

· This is the refuge of your world, huh, rich people really can do whatever they want.

Ails mused.

Pagy glanced at Malin, asking if he needed to jump down first.

Malin shook his head, had Ails pull ten Skeleton Hounds, then jumped down along with the alien.

Then he turned to the Thainan group: "Ails, Pagy, and Sostak No.3, co down with ."

"And ?" Bei Luo was curious.

"You stay here with Xiaolin; if the Queen escapes, don’t block her hard; just make sure she doesn’t get away." Malin arranged the tasks, then cast Feather Fall Technique on everyone, and as they jumped into the sinkhole, Pagy paused briefly and sighed.

· Jumping down reminded of an adventure I once had.

His soul whispered, seemingly still lanted.

"Was it also fighting aliens?" Malin asked.

· No, it was hunting a mad chanical in another world; it sohow appeared in an academy’s exam underground city, killing a squad of testing apprentices. Their ntor ca to Mark City for help; when I arrived, the mad chanical was cloaked in an apprentice sister’s skin, pretending to be his sister beside the maddened apprentice; in the end, I had to deal with the pitiful apprentice myself, because his ntor was too soft-hearted, so he entrusted .

"Wow, that chanical really wanted to beco human, huh." Sostak No.3 couldn’t help but comnt.

· Indeed, Lord chanical, in the outer planes, anything is possible; this is just ordinary.

Malin was the first to land, snapped his fingers, and a light orb now hung at the pit’s bottom, illuminating the dark tunnel and this refuge like an old-world slaughterhouse—everywhere lay long-deceased corpses, covered in slash marks, dried bloodstains, and so damaged laser weapons. Chaos had turned this refuge into a death feast after entering.

· The trouble here is really significant, Subspace... is full of lunatics I wish to avoid; I dislike worlds connected to Subspace most.

"I thought you said what happened was in a Subspace-related world; otherwise, I can’t imagine a chanical going mad like that." Malin retorted.

· Ah, indeed, you’re right, that cursed world is indeed tainted by Subspace, though they can’t pollute , I’d rather not let them know my holand, so I escaped as soon as the mission was completed; only Naless’s believers want to save that world.

"Mr. Pagy, I assure you, if you wish to leave, you can leave now." Malin reassured, indifferent to Pagy’s ridicule of those believers—only madn would think a dead person should share the sa values as the living; it’s rare enough that he maintains good virtues.

Pagy shook his head at Malin’s reassurance: "I may be a rcenary, but I’m one who values the sanctity of contracts; as long as you don’t betray the contract, I won’t betray it first."

· A contractual rcenary, if I didn’t know your character, I’d laugh outright.

Ails laughed at this.

Pagy was indifferent, laughing as well.

"You undead have so romanticism." Sostak No.3 activated his venomous tongue skill.

· Yes, we undead only have ribs left, we must learn to find joy amidst hardship.

Pagy replied.

And Ails stepped forward, as his Skeleton Hounds were howling at the corridor to one side of the fork ahead.

· It seems we’ve found the target.

He turned to Malin.

· Could this be a diversion, there are two corridors here, should we split forces?

Pagy finished speaking and also looked at Malin.

Malin nodded: "You head this way." He pointed to the corridor where the Skeleton Hounds were howling.

· If I didn’t say it wrong, going this way you will encounter their Queen.

Pagy was sowhat concerned.

· The Queen is extrely dangerous, even I can only manage a victory in undefeated circumstances with Ails’s help.

"King against Queen, isn’t that perfect?" Malin withdrew his restraint with a grin.

Pagy, while laughing, paused, then lowered his head.

· Understood, your Highness, your will.

"That’s right, be cautious; if you encounter the Queen, Ails, rember to open a passage for imdiately, I’ll co support at once." After speaking, Malin whistled as he entered another corridor.

Watching Malin disappear at the corridor’s end, Pagy glanced at Ails.

· Lord Ails, I recall you told this lord is rely legendary?

· Of course, Lord Pagy, he really considers himself a legend, not a deity walking on the ground.

· Yet a deity is still a deity.

· But mortals have their self-awareness.

·... I despise such self-disciplined maniacs most, does he see becoming a deity as a bad thing?

· Because he has more urgent needs, a small deity is insufficient.

Listening to the riddle from the soul, Sostak No.3 frowned, hands on hips: "Are you riddlers?"

Never before had Sostak hated riddles the way he did today, swearing to never bring up riddles again.
