"Yes, it’s like I don’t know how this Machine Soul crawled out from a living human body." The scene wasn’t about any danger, but Malin pondered how such a chanical body could shrink its form into a human body, and when exactly it replaced Boer. These were the things Malin wanted to know.
Number Four didn’t know much about it either, but he said he was the director of the Human Body Transplant Prosthesis Center. When Number Three eliminated Number Four, the Tungsten Rod precisely hit the main room, and that area remains a battlefield between Malfunctioned Machine Souls and Chaos.
"I don’t know how this director managed to disguise the Machine Soul as a human." Jason’s words were filled with confusion: "But his use of remote-controlled bodies makes sowhat worried, Your Excellency Malin, you can trust that soone who disguises his subordinates as humans to infiltrate the human world is concerning. We don’t even know when this thing sneaked in, or how it replaced the poor guy."
"It’s alright, we can ask." After speaking, Malin turned around, smiling at the surprised Faye as she walked in: "You’re not wrong, I confird I ssed up."
"No, dear, what I ant by ssing up is very different from what you did. How did you manage to turn Boer into such a monster?" Faye glanced at the Machine Soul on the wall, her eyes filled with much curiosity as she looked at Malin.
"I don’t know either, but I think I can ask the Tulin family."
After fifteen minutes, the Bishop of the Lord of Justice and the old patriarch of the Tulin family appeared in the Underground Prison.
The old patriarch initially expressed so disdain for Malin’s outrageous ’story,’ but as the Bishop of the Lord of Justice vouched for Malin, he quickly showed shock when Malin asked if Boer had ever gone to the Eastern Kingdom (Number Three said Number Four’s base was in regions close to the Farole Principality, near the northern part of Venice).
"Indeed, Boer went to the Eastern Kingdom, only I knew this because the kid left with an adventure group without telling the family, and he returned alone."
Upon hearing the patriarch’s explanation, Jason imdiately confird Boer’s ti of death: "It seems accurate, he and his adventure group are dead in that area, his brain mories were extracted, so he was replaced."
Thus Malin shared his thoughts with the patriarch based on Jason’s explanations, which reminded the old man of his earlier suspicions — indeed, in the two years since the child returned, the patriarch noticed so of his old quirks had vanished, like his sword skills, which were once poor and difficult to learn. After his return, his swordsmanship improved rapidly, not to ntion his marksmanship. He could even hit moving targets two hundred yards away with a Revolver, earning him the title of the best shot since Sydney among the locals.
With suspicion aroused, the old patriarch began to accept Malin’s narrative — yes, the Legendary would need to weave such outrageous lies to kill soone? For Boer’s actions, the Sydney royal family doesn’t need to be called Butchers to kill the Tulin family.
See, a Tulin family mber tries to assassinate the Legendary’s progeny, and such wicked behavior is utterly unforgivable.
Moreover, even the Bishop of the Lord of Justice confirms Malin’s honesty, aning the Machine Soul on the wall was certainly Boer transford.
If Boer can transform into a living being, it implies the real Boer died long ago, providing the Tulin family a chance to absolve themselves — whether accepting the accusation of assassinating the Legendary’s progeny or the bla for failing to discern the swap of their family mber, anyone with any sense would choose the latter.
After all, Boer was chosen as a Knight, not only based on the Tulin family’s recomndation; the royal investigation division and the nomination departnt must also bear so responsibility.
Thus, the old patriarch eagerly embraced the notion but found it strange: "When the child returned, we conducted tests and found no issues. Because of this, I recomnded him as the new Knight last year."
"Quite normal, it’s rely a remotely controlled body, Boer’s mories imprinted on an electronic brain, all fake. For reasons of convenience, he chose to assassinate your child — his strength limited direct assassination, but seizing this chance, even we wouldn’t pass up such a golden opportunity." Sostak No.3 explained it all to Malin.
Malin’s adjusted explanations also convinced everyone, including Faye — just as Malin said, Knights can hardly get close to Faye and the child regularly, as the child usually has the Female Knight or Mouse Maidservants of the Lord of Justice attending them. Replacing Boer required surgery, so the Machine Soul could only wait for a chance to deliver a lethal strike. In the previous encounter with the Chaotic Believer’s assassination, he seized the opportunity. The carpet was viewed by everyone as Boer’s other contingency — if unable to assassinate, then find an opportunity to swap the carpet.
The murderous Magic Carpet would strangle its victim. Had this child not possessed innate blessings, directly purifying this non-biological different kind, Boer’s assassination could have been flawless.
