Chapter 322: Sword Emperor’s Broken Sword – Ti to Slip Away
Qifeng City, Phoenix Perch Tower.
Inside a private room, a handso young man reclined on the chair’s backrest with a satisfied expression. Beside him sat two stunningly beautiful young won, both lowering their heads shyly.
The table before them was a complete ss.
These three were none other than Luo Wusheng, Lu Yuliu, and Bai Xiaoyao.
As for why such a scene had unfolded, we need to rewind a bit.
After Luo Wusheng acquired that strange special spiritual chicken, he quickly reunited with the two young ladies he had left outside the forest.
Upon seeing the spiritual chicken in his hand, both Lu Yuliu and Bai Xiaoyao’s beautiful eyes revealed clear astonishnt—especially the Sword Fairy.
To be honest, Lu Yuliu had started doubting whether she’d really seen that peculiar chicken leg earlier or if she had just imagined it. So when this Holy Saint of the Demon Sect suddenly covered his left eye and declared he was going back to catch a chicken, she didn’t react for a long while.
At first, she thought he was joking again. But when she actually saw the familiar chicken leg and her appetite inexplicably surged, the young lady was shocked.
He really caught it? This kind of spiritual chicken really exists?
Even the usually composed Bai Xiaoyao beside them couldn’t control her expression—nor the unconscious rumbling of her stomach.
However, after listening to Luo Wusheng recount the capture process, the two young won began to hesitate.
Could this special spiritual chicken really be eaten? Could there be any unexpected consequences?
Besides, such a tantalizing ingredient that even they struggled to resist didn’t seem like sothing they could easily find soone to cook into a proper dish.
After so deliberation, the three decided to roast the chicken themselves. Whether or not they’d eat it would co later; they at least had to address any potential risks.
Thus, Luo Wusheng skillfully set up branches, lit a fire with his spiritual energy... but just as the chicken got close to the flas, it emitted an aroma so enticing it made their mouths water.
And then, the chicken... dissolved.
?
The peculiar-looking spiritual chicken instantly turned into a puff of smoke and dispersed, leaving the three of them with their rumbling stomachs.

Now, full and content, Luo Wusheng leaned back in his chair, his gaze fixed on the ceiling.
After falling victim to the roasted chicken trap, the three of them couldn’t bear their hunger any longer and hastened their journey to Qifeng City. The mont they arrived, they headed straight for Phoenix Perch Tower, originally planned for later exploration, to sample the city’s delicacies.
Once they secured a private room, Luo Wusheng led the two young ladies in ordering every specialty dish on the nu.
It turned out that while cultivators above the Foundation Establishnt realm could abstain from food, when they did eat, their capacity was astonishingly imnse.
’It’s the first ti I’ve seen these two girls stuffing their faces without any regard for appearances... Appetite truly is a frightening thing.’
Luo Wusheng sighed inwardly, completely oblivious to the fact that his own eating manner wasn’t much better.
That said, beautiful girls even in such a state only appeared charmingly unique, without losing any grace.
But the two young ladies seed quite self-conscious about it. After snapping back to reality, they both looked a bit embarrassed, unsure of what to say.
Luo Wusheng, for his part, also remained silent. He was lost in thought.
When the spiritual chicken dissolved into smoke, Luo Wusheng himself felt nothing, but both Little Yuli and his junior sister experienced slight progress in their cultivation.
This discovery led them to further speculate that the peculiar spiritual chicken might indeed be the legendary one ntioned in the myths of Xiaofeng Mountain.
After all, everything matched the stories.
Consuming it could enhance one’s cultivation—though this sounded a bit far-fetched, the result spoke for itself.
’Aside from that, what concerns the most...’ Luo Wusheng’s eyes glead with thought.
He was confident he hadn’t sensed incorrectly.
When the smoke dispersed, he had distinctly felt an aura very similar to the Ancient Phoenix Essence he carried.
’So, Xiaofeng Mountain really is connected to the Ancient Phoenix Netherkin? And as for why that spiritual chicken appeared in that forest earlier...’
It must have been Yue Xuanji’s doing!
That white-haired loli really was a tsundere. Always acting dismissive with her words, but her actions were plenty honest.
Next ti, he decided, he’d give her another Star-Moon Jade. But knowing her eccentric tastes, she’d probably make him do another performance of "the one and only jade" again... Whatever. He had to cling tightly to her support anyway.
’...If that’s the case, Xiaofeng Mountain is a place I can’t afford to skip.’
But before that...
Luo Wusheng stood up, using his spiritual energy to gently stop the two young ladies, who instinctively moved to rise with him.
"Rest here for a while. I’ll go get sothing to help with digestion... then we’ll continue exploring Qifeng City."
His soft words entered the ears of the two girls.
Bai Xiaoyao’s ears turned a little red. She glanced up at her senior brother but, after murmuring an "Mm," said nothing more.
Little Yuli only nodded repeatedly, not even daring to lift her gaze.
Her mind replayed the mory of herself just monts ago, fighting for food at the table, which reminded her of that ti on the Sea-Crossing Boat when she and a certain soone had scrambled for grilled tentacle beast. The embarrassnt doubled, leaving her utterly flustered.
Seeing that neither girl had objections, Luo Wusheng stepped out of the private room.
Earlier, he had quietly instructed the restaurant owner to remake all the dishes and package them in high-quality food boxes capable of preserving flavor for a long ti.
These were ant as gifts for his lovely Shuangxue. Naturally, he couldn’t let the girls know.
As these thoughts crossed his mind, Luo Wusheng strode forward confidently.
But after only a few steps, his body abruptly froze. His gaze slowly turned toward a certain direction.
’The Sword Emperor’s Broken Sword... Huh? It’s moving toward ? It’s finally willing to co back?’
Luo Wusheng raised an eyebrow and quickly reestablished his link with his little broken sword, deciphering the ssages it was sending.
Before long, a peculiar expression appeared on his face.
The ssage his broken sword sent to its new master was simple—just four words.
"I’m out, I’m out!"
’...Could it have gotten itself into trouble? Hmm... Given the awful personality it’s displayed before, that’s entirely possible. The Sword Emperor’s parenting thods are clearly questionable...’
Luo Wusheng fell into deep thought.
Judging by the speed he sensed, the broken sword would likely reach him in a while. If it really had caused trouble, how would he clear his na—no, solve the issue?
’Maybe I’m just overthinking it... I don’t even know the specifics yet.’
Shaking his head, Luo Wusheng decided to shelve the matter for now. He withdrew his gaze from the faraway direction where the Sword Emperor’s Broken Sword was and resud walking.
What he didn’t know was that, in the area he had just been staring at, a faint, intangible chicken-shaped shadow let out a long sigh of relief.
