After the class was over, I hurried after Parul who gave a quick signal to follow along.
As I walked out of the class, I could feel an intense gaze over .
With my increased perception abilities, I knew it right away, the deep stare was from Asuna.
I slightly looked back and saw Asuna’s tangled face.
Those eyes of hers seed to be filled with confusion.
I could even see so hesitation, but I was not sure.
Why was she still paying attention to ?
Haven’t we cut our ties? So why this annoying stare?
It’s best to end things amicably, no need to bother .
Not caring about her slightest grievance, I decisively left the classroom.
It was common for students to leave the class for washroom or other miscellaneous things during breaks between each period so no one paid much attention other than Asuna.
After reaching the empty balcony near a desolated corner, Parul turned around and expressed her anguish.
Her previous face of being filled with lively and playful expressions soon turned into a mix of agony and despair.
Sobs~
"Leo said he never really cared about ."
"He said obscene won like should be happy that I managed to bag a dashing boy like him."
"He boasted about how he was the number one prodigy born in his little unknown werewolf clan, like how so many clanswon were trying to get in bed with him while I kept rejecting his advances."
"He even shalessly admitted that he had been sleeping with a fellow girl from his werewolf clan all this ti and didn’t care about the slightest about a fight with as he already had a sleeping partner."
Parul broke into a grievous sob as she slowly narrated her ordeal.
Her face was long and full of tears, her hairs a ss from excess crying.
Thankfully, there was no one else around or they might misunderstand that I was bullying a poor girl.
Like a natural reflex, I wanted to extend my hand to pat her shoulder, but before I could do that she clenched her fist and jumped.
"Leo gave an ultimatum- Either sleep with him and make Elandor apologise to him for publicly humiliating him at Claire’s birthday party or breakup with him."
"I simply ran away...."
"I have not been answering his calls or ssages for 2 days now."
"Both of his conditions are out of the question. Moreover, I will only sleep with my future husband once I am sure about him, is it wrong?"
"If he doesn’t agree then he can go his way and I can go my way."
Parul shouted in excitent.
"My only regret is that I wasted so much ti on him."
"So much ti."
Parul exclaid in a hoarse voice.
Damn, making apologise?
This Leo really thinks he is so big shot, huh?
And what about him being so prodigy from the werewolf clan, at Claire’s party he still had to bow his haughty head in front of her!
After understanding Parul’s situation, I cleared my throat,
"How long have you guys been together?"
I simply inquired for general knowledge.
"Hmmm, 3 years."
As Parul gave a reply, her head stopped down in embarrassnt.
Embarrassnt because even after spending 3 long years still her relationship with Leo was filled with flaws and discrimination.
The natural emotions like care, love, sympathy, respect etc were nowhere to be found.
Perhaps, looking at happy couples made her eyes filled with envy because she wasn’t achieving such happiness with Leo?
Hahaha~
Parul gave a mocking laugh.
"Now, you understand it."
"Seeing your pondering eyes, I know you must have figured it out."
"Regarding why I was so happy when I found out you and Rainaziel were a couple."
"When I looked at you ardently supporting Rainaziel at Claire’s birthday party and fighting for her in rankings during the karaoke party, I felt so genuinely happy."
"Happy that you both were supporting each other."
"Happy that my friend Rainaziel has found a good man to take care of her, even if I couldn’t find a good man, at least my dear friend was able to find one."
"That’s why I was so supportive of you and Rainaziel and openly favoured you."
Parul kept laughing.
But her voice was shrill, sowhat unstable, a deep mixture of countless sad emotions unfurled at the exact second.
Now, I completely understood why it seed like she was trying so hard to ship and Asuna.
She was empathising with Asuna, that’s why she was on my side.
A broken woman with a failed relationship and a broken heart trying to find solace in her friend’s happiness.
Parul was really a pitiful woman.
"Parul!"
"You are a good person."
"Even if you are a strong girl with various unknown supernatural abilities, your heart is made of gold which is rare in today’s world."
I offered my sincere condolences.
"So you left Leo?"
I tried to probe further.
"How can it be so easy?"
"But yes!"
"My last ssage to him was crystal clear- Let’s break up and never see each other again."
Parul hesitated before finally answering.
I could feel it, her body was tense.
The repeated clenching and unclenching of her fists, the repeated bowing of her head, the small wrinkles on her face.
I knew her heartbeat was running crazy like hell.
No words of sympathy could soothe her inner turmoil because I was not the one who suffered.
It’s easy to share perspective and empathise, but it doesn’t an you can also endure the similar hardship like the person you witnessed.
That cos down to personal character and endurance.
Biting her lip, Parul continued.
"I don’t know what to do."
"I asked you because I thought that since you are in a relationship with Rainaziel, you can give clear advice to ?"
Parul spoke hesitantly, even though she was not sure.
So she ca to because she couldn’t find soone else?
I rembered the system’s main motto and my eyes glinted with greed as I re-examined this perky woman standing in front of from head to toe.
I was sure: Like Asuna, given her inherent beauty, she too would trigger the system’s missions.
"Parul, actually what you need right now is to try new things."
I tactfully started putting my statent.
The situation needed to be precise, but at the sa ti filled with subtle care and ambiguity.
A narrow villainous approach one might deem.
With my words, her eyes stopped shedding tears as she looked at filled with confusion.
"You are at a stage where your heart is insecure and broken emotionally from inside."
"You need soone to heal, to give yourself, your romantic life another chance."
Seeing she was watching so attentively, I continued.
"Because an amazing girl like you deserves soone better."
"A man worthy of you."
"Leo was far from being such a man."
First ca natural care then ca leading her to a new perspective, slowly forcing my ideology upon her.
Only in this way could I achieve my objective.
There was naturally a reason I was listening to all her pitiful sobbing.
The condition was ripe to act upon it.
"You know, if you don’t heal in due ti then this incident with Leo might leave a deep trauma in your brain from which your heart and soul might never recover."
"If such a thing happened then you won’t be able to trust any person of the opposite gender in the near future."
"I am afraid you may beco inwardly resistant to the word relationship when it cos to the opposite sex."
"Parul, you don’t want to remain single throughout your life after this failed relationship with Leo?"
I put extra stress on my words to directly appeal to her mind.
The result was as expected.
Parul gulped as she processed the information I delivered at her doorsteps.
Her eyes widened as she steadily analysed what I explained to her.
She was quiet.
I knew her mind was making a judgnt about the accuracy of my words.
At this point I must give her space.
This is the mont when countless boys fail at wooing a girl.
When affecting a girl’s judgnt and imposing your own will and perspective on her lifestyle, you must give them ample space after listening to their sad story and directing them to a better alternative.
You must never directly say it’s better to do this and that.
Otherwise, you will provoke them and may even beco a spot for them to vent off their anger.
Won are born overthinkers.
When it cos to thinking about things, won have left n far behind.
This is the harsh reality.
After a good 8 minutes, Parul finally spoke.
"But how could a woman like find a good boy?"
"With my dangerous supernatural abilities, daring a normal is far from question."
Parul felt frustrated.
Seeing her like this, a big smile blood on my face.
