Chapter 859: Chapter 859: Wilderness Residence (Part 1) Chapter 859: Chapter 859: Wilderness Residence (Part 1) “Close the door!”
After seeing off Wang Chenming, Wang Chen said to Su Ziling, “Pack up our luggage, we’re leaving here.”
Indeed, trouble had a way of finding you without having to leave your ho!
The reason that Lu Huaizhen and Wang Chenming had co knocking today was not without cause.
The two families were sworn enemies, and the current situation of the Wang Clan was unfavorable. Once the Nascent Soul Elder of their clan perished, losing their core combat power, the Lu Clan would inevitably crush the Wangs.
At that ti, the Wangs wouldn’t have a choice but to give up their place in Three Ridge!
In order to ensure the survival of their clan, the Wangs were trying every ans to expand their power and were doing everything they could to aid their Nine-Layer Golden Core mbers in attaining Nascent Soul, to overco this major crisis.
Wang Chen had co into the Wang Clan’s view under these circumstances.
Especially after his return from achieving Core Formation, the Wangs were even more eager to recruit him to their side.
However, faced with such dire circumstances, they weren’t fully prepared and couldn’t offer tempting enough conditions to win Wang Chen over.
As soon as the Lu Clan found out, they imdiately sent Lu Huaizhen to cause trouble.
The Lu Clan had no shortage of Golden Core mbers; losing Wang Chen wouldn’t make them weaker, nor would gaining one more make them stronger.
But they just couldn’t let the Wang Clan take him.
Otherwise, if Wang Chen’s joining caused a change in the tide, helping the Wang Clan survive this crisis, that would be too terrible!
In plain terms, Wang Chen, the newly advanced Golden Core, had beco a point of contention between the Lu and Wang clans.
He was important, yet not that important.
At least, the promises made by Lu Huaizhen to Wang Chen were definitely going to be greatly reduced in the future!
The reputation of the Lu Clan wasn’t that great.
Wang Chenming earnestly requested Wang Chen not to agree to Lu Huaizhen imdiately, asking him to wait until he could consult with the Elders and Ancestors of his family and then give Wang Chen a satisfactory answer.
He guaranteed not to let Wang Chen suffer.
Undoubtedly, Wang Chenming’s attitude was very sincere. The problem was that Wang Chen simply didn’t want to get involved in the ssy situation.
He imdiately made his decision—couldn’t he just avoid trouble if he couldn’t confront it?
Although it was extrely sudden, Su Ziling did not question or hesitate about Wang Chen’s decision.
She imdiately closed the shop door, then swiftly put the goods on the shelves into her Storage Bag, and went to pack so daily necessities from the bedroom. It only took the ti it takes an incense stick to burn.
Moving hos for Cultivators was quite easy; they could essentially leave whenever they wished, apart from properties that couldn’t be moved, as large-capacity storage equipnt could always carry various household items.
Wang Chen’s Artifact Shop was rented, and the rent had been paid in advance, so closing it for half a year wouldn’t be a problem.
Even if he completely abandoned it, there wouldn’t be much loss.
After everything was packed, Su Ziling asked, “Master, where are we going? Will we co back later?”
She was considered a native of the Immortal City Thousand Star, born and raised there. So, leaving suddenly made her feel sowhat reluctant.
“First, we’re going to buy so things.”
Wang Chen patted her head and said, “We’re going to live in seclusion for a while. We’ll see about the rest later.”
“Okay!” Su Ziling nodded vigorously.
In fact, as long as she could stay by Wang Chen’s side, wherever they went didn’t really matter to her.
So the two left the shop and went on a big shopping spree nearby.
Wang Chen was not short of Spirit Stones, stuffing the Suru Rings with various high-quality Spirit Rice, Spiritual Tea, Spiritual Wine, and Monster Beast at, and of course, not forgetting the various supplies needed for cultivation.
It wasn’t until both Suru Rings were almost full that he sowhat reluctantly stopped.
Taking Su Ziling with him, they left the city.
Ten miles outside the city, Wang Chen brought out a Magical Treasure Flying Ship, boarded it with Su Ziling, and flew towards the vast mountains.
The Flying Warship had only just departed when Wang Chenming hurriedly arrived, then watched a streak of light in the sky, beating his chest and stamping his feet in frustration.
Wang Chen, unaware that his relative had tried to stop him from leaving, piloted the Flying Warship swiftly away from the Thousand Star Immortal City, searching for a training ground amidst the undulating mountains.
Not all Cultivators live and practice in Immortal Cities or their surrounding areas.
In fact, so Cultivators choose secluded locations in mountains, plains, Great Marshes, or seas where spiritual energy converges to establish Cave Mansions and live a hermit life in quiet cultivation.
Without the protection of Immortal Cities, however, they faced many dangers,
such as Evil Wraiths, the Monster Race, bandits, and even natural disasters!
Additionally, life in the wilderness was definitely not as convenient as living in an Immortal City; therefore, these Cultivators were in the minority and primarily Loose Cultivators.
Wang Chen didn’t intend to live the life of a hermit Loose Cultivator; the trouble he was going through was primarily to dodge the lilight, avoiding becoming a victim of the Wang Clan’s and the Lu Clan’s conflict.
Although he was also a Golden Core Cultivator, he was still weak compared to these two clans.
Secondly, it was also to create an escape route for himself.
As the saying goes, a crafty rabbit has three burrows; having multiple places for cultivation was always a good thing.
But finding a suitable place was by no ans easy.
The area around Thousand Star Immortal City was densely populated with Loose Cultivators, with practically all spiritually endowed lands having been claid.
These locations had Arrays for protection, making them easily recognizable at a glance.
Wang Chen did not wish to stir up conflict, so upon seeing them, he turned around and left, to avoid any misunderstandings.
After searching continuously for four to five days, Wang Chen finally found a small valley nestled between towering mountains that looked promising.
The valley’s terrain was conducive to entrapping spiritual energy, and if there was flowing water, it was often an excellent place for cultivation.
This particular small valley was precisely so; surrounded by high peaks, it had its own Cave Heaven within, with a deep jade pool hidden inside. Fed by a subterranean river, the living water bubbled forth and ford a crystal-clear stream that flowed out of the valley.
Upon this discovery, Wang Chen retracted the Magical Treasure Flying Ship and descended into the small valley with Su Ziling.
“This place isn’t bad at all!”
Su Ziling was delighted, plucking a wildflower and taking in its scent, her face brightening with a sweet smile.
Wang Chen looked around and nodded.
Despite the slightly less dense nature’s spiritual energy, the location and the environnt were quite good here—secluded and quiet enough.
But Wang Chen wasn’t planning on settling down long-term, so the minor shortcoming didn’t matter much.
Besides, he could always set up a Spirit Gathering Array; with the expenditure of Spirit Stones, any place could beco a Cave Heaven and Blessed Land!
“Let’s settle here!”
No sooner had he spoken than Wang Chen suddenly felt as though he was being watched.
He abruptly turned around and saw a ripple disturbing the surface of the pond not far away.
Wang Chen’s gaze sharpened, and he imdiately brought out the True Form Chart of the Mystical Mirage Dragon, temporarily taking Su Ziling inside this magical chart.
He then leapt into the air, hovering above the pond, and called out from his vantage point, “Co out!”
There had to be sothing unusual beneath this deep pond; the disturbance had likely been caused by a Monster Beast or mber of the Monster Race that had touched his Divine Sense.
Since there was a risk, it certainly needed to be eliminated.
However, after Wang Chen repeated his command three tis, nothing unusual surfaced from the pond.
“Still trying to hide?”
Now Wang Chen was irked and promptly summoned the Dragon Abyss Sword.
The mont his Lifebound Magic Treasure appeared, its sharp sword light shone in all directions. The sword circled around Wang Chen, humming excitedly as it vibrated, craving battle!
