West Sea, Long River Island.

Long River Island, the second largest island of the West Sea, is slender with a great river that originates within the mountains and runs through it from south to north for a thousand miles.

Thus, the island was nad.

As the saying goes, "A lone boat carried by the wind, traveling a thousand miles where the Long River ets the sea."

This great island is also ho to one of the Nine Veins of the West Sea Sect—the Daoist Vein of the Long River Vein!

At the highest peak of Long River Island, upon Boat Leaf Peak, Wang Chen once again t with the Vein Leader, Long River True Person.

"Disciple Wang Chen, pays respect to True Person!"

Wang Chen respectfully bowed to Long River True Person, who sat upon the cloud platform.

Today, the True Person wore a plain white robe without a single adornnt, his long hair draped casually over his shoulders. Surrounded by roiling clouds and mist, with verdant pine and cypress, he seed nothing less than an immortal.

"No need for such deference."

Long River True Person gently lifted his hand, and a wisp of the surrounding cloud was drawn away, instantly condensing beside Wang Chen into a chair: "Sit."

"Thank you for granting a seat, True Person!"

Wang Chen stood up and sat down on the cloud chair.

To be honest, he was quite puzzled when he received the True Person’s summons.

He didn’t understand why the Vein Leader wished to et with him.

Yet Wang Chen was not the least bit panicked, confident that he would soon have his answer.

"I have summoned you this ti because there are two matters I wish to discuss with you," spoke Long River True Person in a calm and soothing voice that instilled a reassuring sense of stability.

However, the first matter he ntioned took Wang Chen by surprise.

"Wang Chen, would you be willing to join my Long River Vein?"

Wang Chen’s thoughts raced, and he imdiately bowed deeply: "It would be my honor!"

A faint smile appeared on Long River True Person’s face: "I have not yet finished. If you agree, then the Sect’s reward will no longer be yours."

Without a second thought, Wang Chen replied: "I’m more than willing, True Person!"

In essence, it ant exchanging the reward he was due for the privilege of joining the vein.

How could he possibly refuse such an offer!

To know in the West Sea Sect, vein-entered disciples were the true elites within the Sect, receiving benefits and treatnt incomparable to those of ordinary disciples.

If one sought to learn the superior cultivation techniques and orthodox direct transmissions of the West Sea Sect, one must possess the status of a vein-entered disciple.

The authority of vein-entered disciples was also higher than that of ordinary disciples.

Wang Chen certainly wasn’t going to miss this opportunity!

Long River True Person raised his hand again: "Do not be hasty. You should know that your contributions are not yet enough to exchange for the qualification to enter the vein. Now, I will tell you the second matter."

Wang Chen was speechless.

Long River True Person smiled slightly: "Do you know of minor worlds?"

Wang Chen was taken aback: "I have heard a little, True Person."

He had long been aware that his world was not the only one.

Beyond the Mountain and Sea Realm, there were many different worlds!

If classified by tier, they could generally be divided into minor worlds, major worlds, and the Upper Immortal World.

The Mountain and Sea Realm belonged to the tier of major worlds!

Wang Chen had once read in a text that most minor worlds were dependent on the major worlds, while the major worlds were the Lower Realm of the Upper Immortal World.

When a cultivator’s cultivation level reached the limit of their realm, ascending to the Upper Realm was the only choice.

Of course, aside from ascension, there were other ways to reach the Upper Realm.

Wang Chen’s arduous journey to join the West Sea Sect was driven by his desire to find a Path to the Heavens!

The higher his status and position within the Sect, the greater the likelihood of achieving his goal, making the status of a vein-entered disciple imperative to him.

As for the small worlds, Wang Chen’s understanding was truly limited.

He only knew that a small world was equivalent to a region of land, varying in size, with environnts that differed as drastically as heaven and earth.

So small worlds had no living creatures, while others were brimming with life but were extrely perilous.

However, what Long River True Person told Wang Chen were secrets he had never heard before.

According to this high-tier Golden Core, the West Sea Sect occupied a total of thirty-seven small worlds, but so far, only eleven had been developed.

Less than half.

Reclaiming a small world was an extrely difficult and dangerous task, as the worlds worthy of developnt usually possessed imnse obstacles and hazards, requiring continuous long-term investnt.

The ti could stretch for hundreds of years!

Most importantly, small worlds imposed significant restrictions on a cultivator’s level, with the highest not exceeding Golden Core.

So small worlds couldn’t even accommodate the Purple Mansion!

To develop such small worlds, they could only send Qi Cultivation cultivators and Innate Martial Artists into them, as the West Sea Sect’s elite forces couldn’t exert their power.

Since many small worlds could provide resources for cultivation that were unavailable or scarce in the Mountain and Sea Realm, the West Sea Sect had been striving to pioneer new small worlds for thousands of years.

But the small worlds that had been developed so far, were mostly still quite unstable.

The natives, monster beasts, and evil wraiths within the small worlds posed a great threat to the expanding power of the West Sea Sect.

As a result, the number of sacrifices was considerable.

A hundred years ago, the West Sea Sect established a rule requiring all vein-entered disciples to undergo trials in a certain small world and obtain rit matching their status before they could truly enter the Nine Veins.

With Wang Chen’s rits, he would not have been able to enter under the Long River Vein.

But Long River True Person could give Wang Chen a chance.

As long as he earned enough rit in a small world, he could beco a mber of Long River Island.

Of course, this depended on Wang Chen’s willingness.

If he didn’t want to take the risk, Long River True Person wouldn’t force him, and the rewards from the sect would still be available to him.

Wang Chen truly hadn’t expected the requirents for entering a vein to be so high.

But since he had embarked on this path, he had no intention of turning back or stopping.

"The disciple is willing!"

"Good."

Long River True Person nodded, flicking his finger and ejecting a ball of spiritual light: "You have three small worlds to choose from."

This pearl-sized ball of light silently entered Wang Chen’s brow, and instantly, his sea of consciousness contained additional information.

The three small worlds Long River True Person allowed Wang Chen to choose from were all realms that the West Sea Sect had developed but not yet fully occupied or dominated, still requiring further conquest.

The environnts of the three small worlds, as well as the enemies to be faced after entering, were vastly different.

However, the level of danger was about the sa.

Wang Chen quickly sorted through this information in his mind, and soon made his decision.

"The disciple chooses the Yin Nether Realm."

Long River True Person was surprised: "The Yin Nether Realm?"

Among the three small worlds he had chosen for Wang Chen, although the level of danger was similar, the cultivation environnt was undoubtedly the worst in the Yin Nether Realm; normally, it was the least preferable choice.

Yet Wang Chen had chosen the worst one.

The Golden Core True Person pondered for a mont and then nodded, saying, "Very well."

He didn’t believe Wang Chen to be the type of reckless and unwise cultivator, and the information he provided was sufficiently detailed, leading him to think that Wang Chen wouldn’t have chosen impulsively.

So be it, as Wang Chen wished!

Long River True Person flicked a jade talisman: "You have half a month to prepare."
