"It’s quite unexpected."

Ronan smiled and said to Audrey Norton, "When did you co to Seles?"

After more than half a year, this Witch’s aura was even more remarkable. Tonight, she wore an exquisite lady’s dress, looking every bit like a pampered young lady from a noble family.

Exuding nobility.

"I just ca over last month."

Audrey Norton sat down next to Ronan and called the maid to bring her a glass of champagne.

"To our reunion, cheers."

She raised her glass and exchanged a smile with Ronan, inadvertently shedding so of their previous barriers.

Ronan curiously asked, "Aren’t you afraid of the Church?"

Witches, able to cast spells by harnessing the power of the Blood Moon, were rare and very mysterious Transcendents.

Up to now, the only Witch Ronan knew was Audrey Norton.

But unlike the legendary elusive creatures, she appeared openly at the Holy Fire Hall’s salon.

What’s more, this was the capital, Seles!

According to rumors, Witches have always been mortal enemies of the Church of Yala, who would burn one at the stake upon capture.

No rcy at all!

And Seles was the stronghold of the Church of Yala’s power, with the renowned Yara Great Temple located near Selis Street, where Ronan had seen the sacrificial pillars erected just days ago!

They were specifically used to burn Witches and Bloodkin.

"I’m not afraid."

Audrey Norton blinked, "As long as you don’t report , I’m sure I’ll be fine."

She was, of course, joking.

The Church of Yala had been the Witches’ arch enemy. In the dark age centuries ago, the Inquisition launched a brutal hunt against all Wizards.

Many Wizards perished as a result.

Even countless individuals rely associated with Wizards, including so nobles, faced persecution.

Today, the once mighty Inquisition has been suppressed by secular powers and reduced to a hidden force of the Church, no longer as arrogant and domineering as during the dark age.

And the Wizards, who had survived the dark age, had their powers greatly diminished, many lineages lost.

Currently, the main enemy of the Church of Yala is no longer Witches but the Bloodkin hidden among humans, whose numbers are vast and infiltration into human society longstanding, posing the greatest threat to the Church.

In fact, to fight the Bloodkin, the Church of Yala began to gradually abandon its hostile policies against Wizards a century ago, opting instead for covert cooperation and even jointly hunting down Bloodkin.

However, most people aren’t aware, and their knowledge of Witches remains in the realm of minstrel stories.

"I see."

Ronan suddenly understood — no wonder Audrey Norton dared to act so openly.

Audrey Norton asked with interest, "When did you join the Holy Fire Hall?"

"This is my first ti attending a salon of the Holy Fire Hall."

Ronan laughed, "So, I just joined."

"By the way."

The Witch asked again, "Did you find Old Jack?"

"I did."

Ronan replied without hesitation, "In fact, I’ve inherited his alchemical ventures and beco an Alchemist."

"You’re an Alchemist now?"

Audrey Norton widened her eyes in surprise, "Can you create Extraordinary Items?"

The Witch could hardly believe her ears.

After all, all things considered, Ronan had only been in Seles for a little over half a year. Inheriting Old Jack’s alchemical ventures was not surprising, given Jack’s many failures, his eventual choice to quit was quite expected.

The question was, how did Ronan beco an Alchemist in such a short ti?

To beco an Alchemist, one must first be a Spellcaster capable of wielding Transcendent powers, then possess a talent for alchemy, and finally, through long-term study, research, and experintation, create successful works.

Even if all conditions are t, the likelihood of becoming an Alchemist is still very low!

Is Ronan a Spellcaster? Does he possess alchemical talent? And how did he overco the greatest hurdle?

Although Audrey Norton trusted that Ronan wouldn’t speak recklessly, it was still hard to believe.

"Of course."

Ronan reached into his pocket and handed Audrey Norton an Amulet, "I made this."

The main reason he attended the Transcendents’ gathering tonight in the capital was to promote his alchemical equipnt, and he obviously carried so works for display.

The Amulet’s function is to automatically activate when facing a mortal threat, providing its bearer with one-ti complete protection.

It’s a very practical piece of alchemical gear.

The sa Amulet, Ronan brought seven in total, crafted with his last remaining materials.

If he couldn’t sell them tonight, he wouldn’t have the funds to purchase new alchemical materials!

"Ah!"

Audrey Norton gasped softly.

Being knowledgeable, the Witch imdiately perceived the strange power inherent in the Amulet the mont she touched it.

Add to that the Amulet’s material and the engraved runes, all clearly indicated this was a well-crafted alchemical item.

Of course, its actual function and effect would need testing to accurately assess.

But if Ronan truly crafted this by himself, he fully deserved the title of "Alchemist."

"You really beca an Alchemist!"

Audrey Norton looked at Ronan with eyes filled with astonishnt and a newfound light.

"Hah!"

At that mont, a sneer with a hint of contempt reached their ears.

A middle-aged man in a black gentleman’s suit approached and respectfully bowed slightly to Audrey Norton, "My apologies, I accidentally overheard your conversation and rudely intruded."

He straightened up, the scorn in his eyes unhidden, "However, Miss Norton, do you honestly believe this young man is an Alchemist?"

Audrey Norton frowned and replied indifferently, "Mr. Jefferson, this is a matter between Mr. Luonan and . I believe I’m capable of making my own judgnts!"

The middle-aged man chuckled, "Pardon , I was only concerned that you might be deceived."

He shrugged, "After all, I am a senior mber of the Holy Fire Hall, and I wouldn’t want to see anyone infiltrate the salon under false pretenses."

The middle-aged man’s voice was quite loud, inevitably drawing the attention of the people around.

So had already begun pointing and whispering about Ronan and Audrey Norton.

anwhile, Ronan held his wine glass, unfazed, as if detached, ignoring the person accusing him.

Audrey Norton was frowning even more deeply.

At the next mont, another voice rang out.

"Mr. Jefferson Kinsley, please mind your words, Mr. Ronan is beyond your doubt!"

"He is a genius Alchemist!"
