In the villa’s basent, aside from so empty wine racks, there was nothing else.
When Ronan had just purchased this house, he had co down to take a look.
He could sense the eerie atmosphere that filled the place.
At that ti, Ronan didn’t act impulsively, nor did he move from the city apartnt to live here.
Today, as he returned to the basent, the strange aura was still present, even more intense.
Ronan silently activated his spiritual energy and began a ticulous search.
His spiritual energy level had broken through the Fourth Ring, allowing his spiritual power to intervene with reality, offering observation abilities far stronger than before, and capable of tackling higher threats.
Soon, Ronan detected sothing unusual.
Monts later, he lifted a thick floorboard.
This floorboard consisted of four tiles, cleverly designed that two corners must be pressed simultaneously to lift it.
When laid flat, the movable floor blended seamlessly with the surrounding tiles, revealing nothing suspicious upon casual inspection.
Through the power of spiritual energy, Ronan discerned its secrets.
With the floorboard lifted, a staircase leading to a lower level appeared in his sight.
A chilling aura blew toward him!
This aura, accumulating underground for who knows how long, was enough to freeze an ordinary person instantly but could not affect Ronan, who was protected by spiritual energy.
He carried the gas lamp he brought down earlier and proceeded along the staircase.
The light from the gas lamp gradually illuminated the new space Ronan had just discovered.
To his surprise, the villa’s second basent floor turned out to be a large study.
This room was larger than the cellar above, with walls covered by rows upon rows of bookcases, each filled with thick books. A rough estimate revealed thousands of volus!
Although this world had entered an industrialized era, the price of books remained high, and not just anyone could own this many.
In addition to the bookcases, there was a large desk and chair in the room.
The floor was covered with exotic woolen carpets, showing the owner had spent a fortune on the decor.
Sadly, it seed no one had been here for many years; both the bookcases and the desk were covered in dust.
Ronan’s gaze fell on a floor lamp to the right of the desk.
There seed to be nothing unusual there, yet his perception indicated a mass of intense negative energy residing in that spot!
His intuition told him this was the source of the villa’s frequent paranormal occurrences!
Without any hesitation, Ronan channeled his spiritual energy to encapsulate the bizarre energy mass.
Although his spiritual energy had only recovered to the Fourth Ring level, his mastery over spiritual energy manipulation was top-notch, and he possessed comprehensive application skills.
The weird energy mass slowly dissolved under the pressure and erosion of spiritual energy.
It rapidly transford from virtual to real, materializing into a black civet cat, clawing desperately to resist the spiritual energy attack.
Spiritual Body?
Ronan was sowhat surprised.
Spiritual life forms, after death, if influenced by Blood Moon power, had a certain probability of transforming into Spiritual Bodies.
Spiritual Bodies were also known as Ghosts, Ghost Souls, Spirit Charms, etc.
Most Spiritual Bodies were harmless, wandering the human realm for a long ti until dissipating or being purified.
A few Spiritual Bodies might turn into Fiends.
It’s said that Witches love to control Fiends, using them as servants!
Just as Ronan decided to increase power to vanquish the civet cat spiritually, the latter suddenly abandoned its futile struggle and lay down, ow weakly.
Huh?
Ronan was slightly stunned.
Because the opponent conveyed a notion of submission to him, in a pitiful manner!
This was very interesting.
Ronan thought for a mont and chose not to deliver a fatal blow to the civet cat spirit.
He withdrew his spiritual energy, then leaned down and extended his hand toward it.
The black civet cat hesitated for a mont, slowly crawled over, and cautiously climbed into his palm.
This Spiritual Body had no weight and its form was unstable, but it clearly had strong spirituality, able to convey its intentions to Ronan.
With a thought, Ronan imprinted a spiritual energy mark inside it!
A marvelous event occurred; Ronan’s Divine Soul consciousness resonated subtly with the civet cat Spiritual Body, leading to an understanding of its emotions.
Awe, fear, and longing!
Ronan smiled, placing the little creature on the desk, "Don’t run around, wait for here."
The black civet cat clearly understood his intention, nodding its head.
A very obedient deanor.
Now, it had been completely subdued by Ronan.
Ronan returned to the surface, then rode his bicycle away from the villa.
He arrived at an open-air market outside Lande City.
The market was large and bustling, filled with stalls selling various agricultural products, handicrafts, prey, herbs, etc., unless the weather was terrible.
Goods at the market were definitely cheaper than those in city shops, so city residents bargaining with vendors were a common sight, filled with a hubbub of voices.
Ronan wandered around the market, finally stopping before a stall.
The stall owner was a middle-aged Hunter, selling prey like wild rabbits and wild chickens, with a few cages containing live animals.
Ronan noticed one cage holding a large cat.
This large cat was unlike ordinary dostic cats; besides being bigger, its appearance was fiercer, tail very short, limbs robust and agile, with a yellow-white belly.
Resembling a lynx about eighty to ninety percent!
Ronan asked, "How much for this cat?"
The middle-aged Hunter replied, with trepidation in his voice, "Officer, this wild cat is fierce, already adult, and probably can’t be tad."
If it were an unknowing Bai, he wouldn’t bother with details, just offer a price.
But Ronan, wearing a detective uniform, was not soone who could be easily fooled.
The middle-aged Hunter said with a smile, "If you like cats, I can catch so rabbit cats for you."
Ronan laughed, "It’s fine, I want it, just give a price."
The middle-aged Hunter hesitated, then reluctantly said, "You, you can have it for ten copper coins."
In truth, a dead wild cat would be worth far more than this, let alone alive.
Afraid to offend Ronan, he painfully quoted a bargain price.
Ronan shook his head, pulled out three Silver Currencies, tossed them onto the stall, then picked up the cage with the wild cat and left.
Cycling, he returned to the villa once more.
