Chapter 1366: Chapter 1364 Blood Moon (6)
Whether it be ordinary citizens, rural farrs, itinerant rchants traveling the south, or even wandering samurai, everyone normally carries so form of identification.
A card stamped with a seal, or a badge for instance.
As a patrolling officer, Ronan has the authority to request identification from passersby.
If they fail to produce it, he can either impose a fine on the spot or take them back to the station for questioning.
The traveler appeared nervous, hurriedly saying, “Alright, alright, officer, I’ll show it right now.”
While speaking, he reached into his bosom and pulled out a card.
anwhile, his left arm dropped, and a cold blue dagger suddenly slid down from his sleeve.
Firmly grasped in his hand!
Just as he was presenting his identification to Wang Chen, the dagger, like a venomous snake striking its prey, silently and swiftly aid for Ronan’s vital abdon.
The traveler’s expression suddenly turned extrely fierce.
He didn’t believe young and naïve Ronan could dodge his lethal strike.
But the next mont, the poison-coated dagger stabbed into empty air.
How could this be?
The traveler was shocked.
But he was out of ti because Ronan’s baton ca crashing down onto his forehead.
Bang!
With a dull sound, the vicious traveler flipped white-eyed and collapsed.
Suddenly, screams erupted around them.
Ronan ignored the surrounding chaos, kicking away the dagger in the traveler’s hand, then pulled out the handcuffs from his waist and tightly cuffed the now unconscious man.
While flipping him over, Ronan noticed sothing amiss and reached out to yank off the man’s hair.
A large chunk ca off.
It turned out to be a wig!
Ronan’s eyes sparkled, flipping him back over, and touched his face a few tis.
Fake eyebrows, fake beard, fake scar…
The true features of the man were fully revealed.
Ronan felt so familiarity, and the man bore a six or seven tenths similarity to soone depicted on a wanted poster.
He imdiately understood.
The man was most likely a fugitive, who had changed his appearance and fled to Lande City, intending to take a stear and escape abroad.
Lande is a port city, from here one can take steamboats to multiple kingdoms, even the Eastern Continent.
It’s really normal for fleeing criminals to appear!
And after a round of struggle, the suspected fugitive groaned in pain and his eyelids moved as if he was about to wake up.
Ronan, without hesitation, gave him another blow.
Dragging the again unconscious suspected fugitive, Ronan returned to the third precinct under the astonished gazes of many passersby.
“By Yala!”
An old officer saw this and couldn’t help but exclaim, “Look what our little Ronan brought back!”
Several officers gathered at once, and soone asked, “Ronan, who is this?”
Ronan dropped the guy in his hand onto the ground and explained, “I suspect he’s a fugitive. He even tried to stab during questioning, but luckily, I dodged quickly.”
Ronan spoke lightly, but in truth, under those circumstances, none of the officers of the third precinct could have dodged.
The attack was not only stealthy, but also exceptionally vicious and ferocious, leaving no room for escape.
Unfortunately, he encountered Ronan!
“Fugitive?”
The officers were instantly interested, and one of them quickly brought a thick stack of wanted notices.
They compared the man on the ground one by one.
Soon, a wanted poster was pulled out, and the officer comparing the images excitedly said, “This is Jay Sam, a major leader of the Grey Wolf Gang, a man with a bounty of 100 gold pounds!”
100 gold pounds!
This number was so stimulating that it almost called in every officer staying at the precinct, all surrounding the unconscious man on the ground, repeatedly comparing the poster with the described traits.
“Exactly, Jay Sam has a part missing from his left ear.”
“He has a mole on his chin!”
“And a gunshot wound on his chest!”
The wanted traits aligned, and the differences between the image and his real appearance were within a reasonable range; the officers even found three concealed handguns and ammunition hidden in the man’s bosom.
And a weighty bag of gold coins!
We’ve struck gold!
The officers looked at Ronan with envious and jealous eyes—what a lucky kid!
Jay Sam wasn’t just any ordinary fugitive; the 100 gold pound bounty spoke volus about his significance. Ronan, yet to be officially confird as a probationary officer, had captured him unhard.
If this isn’t luck, what is?
So officers were even turning green with envy.
“What are you all doing gathered here?”
At this mont, Sean O’Cort ca out of his office.
He’d heard the commotion outside and ca to see what was going on.
Upon learning the situation, the deputy chief couldn’t believe it and quickly personally checked the wanted notices.
Eventually confirming that Ronan indeed captured Jay Sam!
“Well done!”
Sean instructed the officers to take Jay Sam to a cell, then tapped Ronan’s shoulder, saying, “I’ll report your achievent upwards; this should allow you to get confird early!”
Ronan smiled and said, “Thank you, sir.”
Sean shook his head, “This is what you’ve earned.”
A nearby officer enviously said, “Ronan, you’ve got to treat us!”
Everyone chid in, “Yeah, yeah, you must treat us!”
Ronan readily replied, “No problem, once I get the bounty, I’ll treat everyone to drinks at Manson Bar!”
Manson is the largest and best bar in the Lower City District, and the waitresses there are all charming; of course, the costs are the highest as well.
Ronan’s generosity also alleviated much of the jealousy.
Next, Deputy Chief Sean personally interrogated the awakened Jay Sam, and even though the latter tried to feign ignorance, his disguise was weak and feeble before this experienced police officer.
As night was falling, people from the Lande General Police Bureau ca to take Jay Sam away.
The Grey Wolf Gang had once wreaked havoc across several counties, committing nurous cris. After being eradicated, several major leaders, including their leader Herings, had escaped.
These guys had all been placed on the wanted list.
And Jay Sam was the first to be caught.
Evidently, the General Police Bureau hoped to extract information about the others from Jay Sam.
But this had nothing to do with Ronan anymore.
The comndation from the General Police Bureau ca swiftly, and the next day Ronan received the 100 gold pound bounty.
Along with a reward of early confirmation!
Ronan also fulfilled his promise, treating all his colleagues to drinks at Manson Bar that night.
He ended up spending almost 20 gold pounds!
But Ronan didn’t mind.
After being confird, his salary doubled, and most importantly, he was entitled to carry a gun and sword.
