Bang!

With a muffled gunshot, the muzzle of the shotgun spewed a bright fla, and pellets shot out.

The hover bike closest to Wang Chen was struck like it had been hit by lightning, with both the vehicle and the Knight being hit by the tal pellets filled with powerful kinetic energy, imdiately losing control and crashing to the ground.

Although it didn’t explode, it crashed with a dreadful impact.

As for the Knight, he lost his life before he hit the ground.

Even though the shotgun Wang Chen used looked like an antique weapon, it was manufactured with the Empire’s advanced military technology, making it far more powerful than similar weapons in his previous life.

One shot, one down with ease!

The Knights chasing Wang Chen obviously didn’t expect him to pull out a weapon to strike back, hastily cursing and spreading out.

The brutal death of their companion also fueled their fury.

Being far from the city now, they beca unrestrained and used the weapons mounted on their hover bikes, firing beams of high-energy particles at Wang Chen.

Yet, no matter how they maneuvered to aim and fired desperately, not a single particle beam hit Wang Chen.

Wang Chen expertly maneuvered his hover bike with his left hand, dodging enemy attacks, while his right hand skillfully pulled the trigger to blast each opponent.

Every shot hit its mark, without a miss!

When the shotgun emptied, he switched to another fully loaded gun, maintaining continuous fire.

Within a few minutes, the Knights engaged in the shootout with Wang Chen crumbled.

They tried their hardest but failed to harm Wang Chen even slightly.

anwhile, Wang Chen effortlessly picked them off one by one.

Despite the Knights having a clear nurical advantage, the battle situation turned entirely against them.

With over a third of their number down, many Knights began to contemplate retreat.

When half of them fell, the others could no longer withstand the fear of death and fled in panic.

Bang!

Wang Chen took down another hover bike.

But this ti, he aid at the vehicle itself, sparing the rider, who, although battered, survived by chance.

Wang Chen didn’t pursue the fleeing Knights, instead jumping from his bike.

Landed right next to the opponent.

This Knight had suffered a hard fall, probably breaking several bones, lying on the ground struggling and moaning in pain.

Wang Chen crouched down and removed the opponent’s helt.

A mix of red and green was imdiately revealed.

The Knight was very young, appearing at most in his twenties, with a typical flamboyant style — earrings, nose rings, lip rings, tattoos, all present, along with heavy makeup.

He glared fiercely at Wang Chen, gasping, "You, you’re dead, our boss won’t spare you!"

Wang Chen curiously asked, "Who’s your boss?"

The flamboyant Knight hoarsely shouted, "We’re from the Black Dragon Association, you’re dead, dead!"

He exerted all his strength to lift his right hand, revealing the personal terminal on his wrist, sneering, "You can’t escape!"

Any model of a personal terminal has a recording system, and the opponent had clearly recorded Wang Chen’s image and sent it out via the network, enabling the organization to track him down.

Wang Chen smiled, "Goodbye."

Knowing the identity was enough.

He pressed his palm against the opponent’s forehead, causing the latter to shudder violently, blood seeping from his eyes, ears, nose, and mouth simultaneously.

This guy’s brain had been turned into mush by Wang Chen’s force.

His right hand remained rigidly raised.

However, this stubborn talker was unaware that Wang Chen was constantly enveloped in an invisible layer of Spiritual Energy.

This layer of energy not only provided tight protection but also distorted and interfered with the operation of caras, preventing any biological information from leaking.

So even if Wang Chen’s every move was captured, he appeared like a blurred figure in the video, making it impossible to use facial recognition to lock-on his identity.

Most importantly, Wang Chen wouldn’t leave fingerprints, voiceprints, or DNA traces in any scenario.

In fact, he had adjusted his appearance as well.

And Wang Chen had a reason for doing so!

He got back on his hover bike and sped away.

It was several minutes later when police cars, their lights flashing, finally arrived belatedly.

Wang Chen quietly returned to his hotel.

The commander of the Seventh Rapid Response Fleet, Zhao Kai, had given Wang Chen a fifteen-day leave. Although Wang Chen had to be on standby at all tis, as long as the Nether Legion didn’t reappear, he could have a half-month vacation in this ga city.

Wang Chen wasn’t short of money and didn’t care about expenses, so he booked the best hotel in Lionheart City.

After a comfortable soak in the hot spring bath, Wang Chen changed into a robe and stood by the floor-to-ceiling window of his luxury suite, holding a glass of red wine.

Through the large glass, he could overlook much of the city’s nightscape.

Wang Chen’s gaze passed through the spatial barriers, looking towards the area where VISE Nightclub was located.

The changing and dazzling lights reflected in his pupils.

His eyes turned profoundly deep.

The next night, at the sa ti, Wang Chen went to the nightclub again.

Again, using Star Currency to pave his way, within a few minutes, he was arranged in a fairly large booth.

However, unlike last night, the promised girls did not appear.

Instead, a tall and slender middle-aged man appeared before Wang Chen!

He was wearing a suit-like black formal attire with a white shirt inside, his hair neatly combed, and a sharp, stern face that regarded Wang Chen coldly and indifferently.

This middle-aged man sat across from Wang Chen and raised his hand, a waiter imdiately ca over to offer a cigar.

Taking a deep puff, the middle-aged man said lightly, "My na is Qin Qin, but everyone calls Master Qin. I’m the owner of this nightclub. Young man, where are you from?"

Wang Chen patiently watched him play his ga, then smiled and said, "From Holy Light Star."

"Holy Light Star..."

Master Qin’s eyes changed slightly, as if recalling sothing, "That’s the Empire’s paradise, you shouldn’t have co here."

"This is hell, you know."

Wang Chen laughed, "Is that so? I don’t think so, your place here is quite fun."

Master Qin gave him a profound look and said, "You killed mbers of the Black Dragon Association and still dared to co to my place. Truly brave, but young man, you imagine this world too simply."

While they talked, the surrounding guests were quietly persuaded to leave, and even the perforrs on the stage disappeared.

Only the frantic electronic music continued to play.

Ard personnel, equipped with weapons and wearing combat suits, appeared in the booth area, encircling Wang Chen.

Then the music stopped, leaving only the changing lights illuminating the area.

The tense atmosphere was suffocating!
