Chapter 1: Crossing With a Panel

Sitting under the eaves, Wang Chen stared blankly at the rice fields outside.

A gentle breeze brushed by, lifting waves of verdant green, and the swaying stems and leaves rustled softly.

The sky was high and clouds sparse, with mountains in the distance enshrouded by a mystical fog.

It was a picture of tranquility and peace.

However, at this mont, Wang Chen’s heart was like a stampede of ten thousand horses.

Three days, a full three days!

Nobody knew what he had gone through during these three days!!

Three days ago, Wang Chen was a contented hobody, sipping on iced cola, scrolling through streams of pretty girls online, living a life of unbounded joy.

That night, gaming late into the night, he dozed off without realizing it.

Upon waking up, he found himself in another world!

Initially, Wang Chen thought he was dreaming, just that this dream was particularly long and vivid.

Until today, he had assimilated all of the mories of the original owner of this body.

Only then did he reluctantly accept reality.

This wasn’t a dream!

Wang Chen truly felt like crying.

Although he had imagined traveling to a world of immortal cultivation in the novels, movies, and gas he indulged in, cultivating Qi, practicing Dao, roaming free with a sword in hand, attaining everlasting life, and living as long as the heavens.

But when dreams collided with reality, Wang Chen just wanted to return to his original world.

The world with his family.

And cell phones, computers, internet, iced cola, takeout, toilet paper…!

He sniffled hard, wiped away the wetness at the corner of his eyes, and stood up.

If it’s co to this, then let it be.

He had never been the type to bla fate or others when faced with difficulties. Since his destiny couldn’t be changed, he had to learn to bravely survive.

On the bright side, as long as he was alive, perhaps one day he might return to his own world.

Back in his modest room, Wang Chen began to carefully sort through the mories left by the original owner.

The original owner was also nad Wang Chen, just turned seventeen this year, and was an Outer Sect disciple of the Dongcang State’s Cloud Sun Sect at Heaven Cloud Mountain.

At the third level of Qi Cultivation.

The original owner’s mother passed away from illness shortly after giving birth to him.

His father, Wang Shaoyuan, was also an Outer Sect disciple of the Cloud Sun Sect, with a Cultivation Level of the eighth layer of Qi Cultivation.

Five years ago, he went missing while teaming up with others to explore Heaven Cloud Mountain.

Now an orphan, little Wang Chen was taken in by the Cloud Sun Sect through the introduction of his father’s friends.

He beca a Spiritual Plant Farr in the Outer Sect.

His usual duty was to till and tend to the ten mu of Spirit Fields outside, regularly submitting the harvested Spirit Rice.

Three days ago, the original owner was practicing his Cultivation Technique in an attempt to break through the third layer of Qi Cultivation.

But he failed and fell into unconsciousness.

When he awoke, he found himself in the body of Wang Chen from Earth!

After going through the original owner’s mories, Wang Chen couldn’t help but feel a lump of sympathy for him.

It was too pitiful.

Compared to that, Wang Chen’s own life had been quite fortunate.

Despite its ordinariness, he had not a worry for food or clothing, with kind parents, and two cute younger siblings.

It’s just that he didn’t know how sorrowful his sudden departure would make his elderly parents.

But considering his brother and sister would bring joy to their lives, ti would hopefully heal the sadness, and their later years wouldn’t be desolate.

He composed himself, striving to pull himself together.

No longer to dwell in perplexity and confusion.

“Ah!”

His expression suddenly changed, and he slapped his forehead violently.

Over the past three days, the newly transmigrated Wang Chen had been living in a daze, completely forgetting to tend to the Spirit Fields.

The ten mu of Spirit Fields outside were his foundation in the Cloud Sun Sect.

If there was a problem, being expelled from the sect was the least of his worries!

The mories of the original owner quickly filled his mind, and Wang Chen hurriedly picked up the hoe that was leaning against the corner of the wall and dashed out the front door.

Wang Chen’s ho was situated at the southern foothills of Heaven Cloud Mountain, in the most peripheral area of the Cloud Sun Sect’s Spirit Land.

The ten mu of Spirit Fields allocated to him required diligent care, or weeds and pests would thrive, affecting the harvest and causing trouble.

Arriving at the fields, Wang Chen indeed found that many weeds had sprung up in the Spirit Fields.

So were as high as two feet!

Even though the location of his land was poor, it still received nourishnt from the Spiritual Energy of Heaven Cloud Mountain’s Spirit Vein, so these weeds were not only resilient but also grew at an incredibly fast rate.

Weeds competed with the Spiritual Rice for nutrients and Spiritual Energy and had to be completely removed.

“Ptooey, ptooey!”

Wang Chen spat into each palm, grasped the handle of the hoe, and began weeding in the fields.

He had never done farm work before.

But having assimilated all of the original owner’s mories and inherited five years of laboriously cultivated farr’s Physique.

He hoed and weeded with precision, doing a very thorough job.

But under the scorching sun, having cleared a mu of Spirit Fields, Wang Chen was already sweating profusely from his forehead.

Only cultivators could till the Spirit Fields.

Ordinary people simply couldn’t uproot the stubborn weeds in the fields; every hoe required a great deal of strength.

And his Cultivation Level was only at the third level of Qi Cultivation.

Naturally, it was extrely tough.

However, Wang Chen was well aware that he had to make up for the three days of delayed farm work.

So, gritting his teeth, he toiled under the hot sun in the fields, taking a brief rest under the shade of a tree when he was too tired.

He took a sip of mountain spring water from his gourd.

Then continued working.

In this manner, he worked from morning until almost sunset; Wang Chen finally finished hoeing all ten mus of Spirit Fields.

He was so exhausted his back ached, his legs cramped, and his body felt like it didn’t belong to him.

But it wasn’t over yet!

After hoeing the weeds, he still had to perform Moving Cloud and Rain-Spreading.

Wang Chen hasn’t irrigated the Spirit Fields with rain for three days!

The fields had beco dry, and the edges of many Spiritual Rice leaves were beginning to turn faintly yellow.

This would not do!

Wang Chen forced his spirit, stood up straight at the head of the field, his hands forming a spell, and activated the mana in his Qi Sea.

The Qi Sea, also known as the lower Dantian, is located three inches below the navel and is where the essence of the human body is stored.

The mana that Qi Cultivation cultivators usually condense is mostly stored within the Qi Sea and is activated when needed to cast spells.

The skill Wang Chen was using was the essential skill for any Spiritual Plant Farr—the Cloud Rain Jue!

As the spell was cast, the surrounding clouds quickly gathered, churning over the Spirit Fields.

Soon, a light drizzle began to fall.

The rainwater contained Spiritual Energy from the Spirit Vein of Heaven Cloud Mountain and was greedily absorbed by the parched Spiritual Rice as it fell into the fields.

The yellowed rice leaves gradually regained their verdant hue.

A sense of joy welled up inside Wang Chen.

He felt as if all the Spiritual Rice that received the rainwater was conveying feelings of gratitude and joy to him.

This sensation was extrely peculiar.

The rain lasted for about the duration of half an incense stick before stopping.

Firstly, Wang Chen’s mana couldn’t sustain it any longer; secondly, he was cultivating dry rice, where too much rainwater was not a good thing.

Ding!

Just as Wang Chen was wrapping up, a ssage suddenly popped up in his field of vision.

[Cloud Rain Jue·Experience 1]

Huh???

Wang Chen was dumbfounded!!

What the heck is this?

He couldn’t help but rub his eyes and found that the ssage was still present within his field of vision.

It wasn’t an illusion!

But after just a few seconds, the ssage disappeared without a trace.

A flash of insight crossed Wang Chen’s mind.

The next second, a data panel appeared in his field of vision!
