So boring...

After Su Xuan left, he glanced back at the sowhat oppressive hall and curled his lip.

What had just happened in the hall felt like a waste of ti to him. His trial performance truly didn’t matter; all he cared about was the Blood Immortal Vine. And now, the Blood Immortal Vine was in his hands, in a quantity that far exceeded his imagination! He had scavenged every last one from the bottom of the pit!

"Hehe!" Su Xuan’s lips suddenly curled into a smile, and he muttered to himself, "Ti to go!"

In the next second, he sprang into motion, streaking toward the gates of the Yu Xian Sect. He didn’t want to stay a mont longer in this place. He only wanted to hurry to Hua Shui City to find the Third Elder of the Jiuding Gate to refine pills; that was his real business.

"Young Master Su, good evening!"

When he reached the gate, the disciples on duty greeted him with great respect. They must have already heard about Su Xuan’s performance in the Valley of Thousand Snakes. They didn’t dare ask where Su Xuan was headed, as a cultivator at the Middle Stage of the Longevity Realm was beyond their control.

Su Xuan nodded to the guarding disciples, then looked in a certain direction and whistled.

Before long, a white figure descended from the sky. It was his ostentatiously cool flying white horse. After the horse landed, there was soone else on its back—none other than the unlucky Ji Ning. After Su Xuan had beaten him up, the white horse had taken him away. He had long since woken up and started cursing the mont he saw Su Xuan, completely unaware that Su Xuan had already impersonated him and completed the trial in the Valley of Thousand Snakes.

"Do you have any idea what kind of trouble you’ve caused!"

"I am the heir of the Ji Family, and I will have my revenge. You’d better watch your back!"

"I’m going to complain to Sect Leader Su Pei and have her punish you!"

"Our Ji Family is on good terms with the Yu Xian Sect. She will surely see justice done for ."

THUMP!

The white horse suddenly shook its body, flipping Ji Ning off its back and onto the ground.

Su Xuan crouched down before Ji Ning, untied his restraints, and smiled. "I’m not afraid of any Ji Family, nor am I afraid of Su Pei."

Stretching his limbs, Ji Ning bolstered his courage and retorted, "It doesn’t matter if you don’t know how formidable our Ji Family is; I’ll just consider you ignorant. But how dare you say you’re not afraid of Su Pei on Yu Xian Sect territory? Do you even know who she is?"

"Who?"

"She’s Ancestor ng’s beloved confidante!"

"Oh?"

"I don’t need to spell out who Ancestor ng is, do I? You dare to disrespect his woman? Do you even know how to spell ’death’? Hey, what are you doing?"

Ji Ning’s eyes suddenly widened. He watched as Su Xuan waved his hand. With a flurry of scattering petals, a dozen rare and precious treasures appeared before him. These items were all quite valuable and could sell for at least hundreds of thousands of Moon Profound Stones!

"What do you an by this?" Ji Ning asked, puzzled.

"They’re for you," Su Xuan said with a grin. "Consider it my thanks and compensation!"

"My Ji Family is no small-ti clan. Do you think I’d care for such things?" Ji Ning lifted his chin, yet he couldn’t stop himself from greedily licking his lips, his desire for Su Xuan’s treasures impossible to hide.

"Oh, here, have so more of this then." Su Xuan waved his hand again, placing three Blood Immortal Vines in front of Ji Ning.

Ji Ning’s pupils shrank as he stared at Su Xuan in shock. "You successfully completed the trial? And you got the Blood Immortal Vine?"

He suddenly realized that the items Su Xuan had first brought out must have all been acquired from the Valley of Thousand Snakes!

"Mhm," Su Xuan nodded. "I took your place in the trial. The haul was pretty good. Take all of this, then go find your cousin. She should be waiting for you. How about we just let bygones be bygones?"

"Isn’t that letting you off a bit too easy?" Ji Ning feigned reluctance, but his hands were already scrambling to collect the heavenly treasures and the Blood Immortal Vines.

Su Xuan paid him no further mind and vaulted onto the horse’s back.

Ji Ning suddenly looked up. "Hey, are you participating in next year’s trial? I can give you my spot again. In exchange, you can give so more things. How about it?"

"We’ll see," Su Xuan replied with a smile, gently patting the horse’s head as he prepared to take off.

"Cousin!"

At that mont, a crisp voice rang out. A lithe figure flew over from the distance; it was none other than Ji Sisi.

"Cousin, I’ve missed you so much!" Ji Ning imdiately waved as soon as he saw her.

But to his utter surprise, the cousin he had longed for didn’t even spare him a glance. She brushed right past him and stopped in front of Su Xuan on the white horse. Tugging at Su Xuan’s sleeve, she asked plaintively, "You’re leaving already?"

The real cousin, Ji Ning, was completely dumbfounded.

What the hell is going on? Su Xuan just impersonated for a single trial, right? How... how did he beco my cousin too? Did he replace , the bona fide cousin, as well?

Watching his cousin’s intimate display with Su Xuan, Ji Ning felt so sour that the tang of jealousy filled the air around him.

"My business here is done. It’s ti to go," Su Xuan said, looking down at Ji Sisi’s reluctant face. "Go spend so ti with your cousin. We’ll et again if fate allows."

Ji Sisi still refused to look at her real cousin. With imnse stubbornness, she uttered a single word:

"No!"

At the sa ti, she clung tightly to Su Xuan’s hand, making it clear that she wouldn’t let him leave no matter what—unless he took her with him.

This only intensified the sour feelings of the real cousin standing nearby. It suddenly dawned on him that Su Xuan had likely given him all those treasures and the Blood Immortal Vines out of consideration for his cousin! And his cousin... was clearly smitten with Su Xuan!

He clutched his chest, his heart feeling as if it were being torn to shreds!

"Boss, boss, don’t go!"

Suddenly, another shout pierced the air. Zhu Hongyun and Wu Ba ca flying over side by side.

"Boss, you really can’t go!" Zhu Hongyun said, panting as he reached Su Xuan. "Everyone is waiting for Su Pei to announce your trial results! We’re all waiting to celebrate when you get first place. If you leave like this, everyone will be so disappointed!"

"Boss, please don’t go!" Wu Ba also pleaded.

The two had done a lot for Su Xuan, even negotiating with the other Trialists through the night. They were prepared to fall out with the Yu Xian Sect to ensure Su Xuan received a satisfactory outco!

At that mont, many more people appeared at the Yu Xian Sect’s gate. They were all the Trialists who had participated alongside Su Xuan. Facing him, they all clasped their fists in a salute. They remained silent, but their determination to make him stay was firm.

Su Xuan had saved their lives. If they couldn’t convince him to stay and claim his rightful first-place title, they would not only be sad, but also feel deeply ashad.

Su Xuan looked at Ji Sisi, at Zhu Hongyun and Wu Ba, and then at the crowd of Trialists. He was truly starting to feel troubled.

It was at this mont that a disciple guarding the gate suddenly announced, "Sect Leader Su has arrived."
