"Brother Su Xuan! What’s wrong with you?" Du Yufei frantically shook Su Xuan, but he was completely unresponsive.

She checked his breath, only to find it was dangerously faint. She then felt for a pulse—his heart had almost stopped!

Du Yufei, you’re a flight attendant. You’ve learned plenty of first-aid techniques. Don’t panic, you can save him! After steeling herself and making an ergency call, she struggled to move Su Xuan into the back seat of the car. She laid him flat and unbuttoned his shirt to help him breathe more easily.

Wow, he’s so... sculpted! she thought, her eyes tracing the defined lines of his muscles. They were lean yet radiated power, possessing a masculine charm without being overly bulky. She couldn’t help but swallow hard before stacking her small hands over his heart.

Brother Su Xuan must have collapsed from exhaustion! I can perform CPR on him now to help him recover!

CPR is a life-saving technique used for sudden cardiac and respiratory arrest, aid at restoring a patient’s spontaneous breathing and circulation. It’s also commonly known as cardiopulmonary resuscitation.

HUFF! HUFF! One... two... three... Du Yufei began applying forceful, continuous compressions to Su Xuan’s chest. After a set number of compressions, she leaned down and positioned her mouth over his to give him artificial respiration.

Yes, CPR includes mouth-to-mouth resuscitation. She had to cover his mouth completely with her lips and breathe out for at least one second.

I’m so sorry, Brother Su Xuan! This is an ergency, I have no choice! I swear I’m not trying to take advantage of you! Taking a deep breath, Du Yufei blushed and lowered her face to his.

After three or four minutes of performing first aid, she noticed sothing strange. Su Xuan’s complexion was no longer pale; instead, his face had beco flushed and hot, as if he’d been stead. His heartbeat was no longer faint but was now exceptionally powerful and vigorous. When Du Yufei checked his pulse with her slender fingers, she felt a force so strong it seed to repel them. It was as if his entire body was surging with an inexplicable energy that was desperate for release but had no outlet.

What’s happening to ? Su Xuan thought as he slowly regained consciousness, completely bewildered by his own state.

Just then, an ambulance arrived. An elderly doctor, who looked to be in his fifties, hurried out carrying a first-aid kit. He ducked into the Charman King and perford a quick on-site check of Su Xuan before letting out a strange grunt.

Du Yufei asked nervously, "What’s wrong with him, Doctor?"

"What’s wrong?" the doctor scoffed. "You have the nerve to ask what’s wrong?"

Du Yufei was baffled. "I really don’t know what’s going on!"

"You young people," the doctor sighed. "Completely disregarding your bodies for a mont of pleasure. Tell , did he take a large dose of sothing like Viagra or Cialis?" Both drugs were known to enhance a man’s... performance.

Still bewildered, Du Yufei shook her head. "I don’t think so. I didn’t see him take anything!"

The doctor glanced again at Du Yufei’s flight attendant uniform. "You two sure know how to have fun."

A fancy uniform, a pretty girl, an ultra-luxurious car... and all this on the side of the road. It was no wonder the seasoned doctor’s mind went there.

"So what should we do? Does he need to go to the hospital?" Du Yufei asked.

The doctor waved a dismissive hand. "Go to the hospital for what? Just have him drink plenty of water and get so exercise. He’ll tabolize the drug out of his system soon enough. In the future, try not to make unnecessary ergency calls!"

With that, the doctor picked up his dical kit and returned to the ambulance.

WEE-WOO! WEE-WOO!

The ambulance drove away.

Once again, only Du Yufei and Su Xuan were left in the Charman King. They looked at each other, and the air crackled with awkwardness.

After a long silence, Su Xuan finally spoke in a low voice, "Don’t listen to that doctor’s nonsense. I didn’t take anything."

"Yes, I believe you, Brother Su Xuan!" Du Yufei replied, though her face was beet red. She gave him a strange, bashful look.

"You don’t actually believe , do you?" Su Xuan asked.

Lowering her head, Du Yufei mumbled softly, "Brother Su Xuan, you... you don’t have to be in such a hurry. My sister has wanted to introduce us for a while, and I... I like you a lot, too! After all, you saved her life, and you just helped out so much... If we... if we really were to go on that blind date, I’m sure it would be a success! Yes, definitely a success! As for... doing *that*... it’s bound to happen sooner or later!"

What in the world is she talking about?! Speechless, Su Xuan rubbed his face hard. Then, he roared in his mind, System, get the hell out here!

He suspected the system was behind the symptoms he’d just experienced. He demanded, "What exactly happened to ?"

The system’s programmatic voice replied, "After the second-stage mission begins, the host’s ntal will is fortified in tandem with their physical constitution. This allows the host to calmly face the massive wealth they now possess."

Su Xuan understood imdiately. The system was afraid his mind wouldn’t be strong enough to handle so much wealth and that he might go insane from the excitent. There were plenty of real-world examples of people winning massive lottery jackpots only to go mad from the shock, or even die from an excitent-induced heart attack before they could even claim their prize. So, the system had proactively reinforced his ntal resilience. But the side effect was like being force-fed a potent tonic, causing the very symptoms he’d just suffered through.

Even though he knew it was a good thing, Su Xuan couldn’t help but curse the system internally. You’re so damn thoughtful! You really think of everything, don’t you?! But couldn’t you have given a heads-up first? Look at what you’ve done! You not only scared half to death, but you also made this poor girl completely misunderstand the situation! Now what am I supposed to do?

After that, Su Xuan awkwardly drove Du Yufei to her building at Kangnai. During the drive, Du Yufei, perhaps still worried about him, held his hand the entire ti, her face constantly blushing.

"I won’t go up to see your sister," Su Xuan said as he stopped the car downstairs at Kangnai. "Please say hi to her for ." He had originally planned on visiting Du Yuchen as well, but he scrapped the idea after the recent fiasco.

"Brother Su Xuan, don’t worry," Du Yufei added understandingly just before he left. "I won’t tell anyone about what happened in the car. It’ll be our little secret!"

VROOOM! Su Xuan slamd on the accelerator and made a swift getaway.

"Boss, a large bottle of water!" After leaving Kangnai, he pulled over at a small roadside shop, bought a large bottle, and chugged it down.

Phew! He instantly felt much better.

But just as he was drinking, another very strange thing happened—one that left him too embarrassed to face anyone...
