Ding Yue checked the ti and it was already 5:40 in the afternoon.
He was unsure whether the television station reporter he wanted to connect with had knocked off work, however, he thought that regardless of whether the dia person had done so, a case like Liu Ping’s father’s should deserve dia attention, shouldn’t it?
So, Ding Yue turned to Wen Ruohan and said, "Miss Ruohan, could you call Director Liu i from the first channel of NTS?"
"Huh?"
Wen Ruohan was a little taken aback at first, but then she quickly took out her phone and began searching for Director Liu i’s contact from the NTS’s first channel in her directory.
The reason why Wen Ruohan was surprised was that Principal Ding’s order was indeed quite abrupt.
A mont ago, he asked her to contact the head of the supply departnt, and then he made a call to Director Huang and now he wanted her to call Director Liu i?
After she gained her composure, Wen Ruohan guessed that this phone call was likely related to the call with Director Huang, which would in turn be related to Liu Ping’s case.
As for the specifics of Liu Ping’s situation, most of the students at Mist City Arts and Science University didn’t know much about it. Nevertheless, Wen Ruohan was not an ordinary student, she was Principal Ding’s personal secretary and she knew a lot of things, including the case regarding Liu Ping’s ho.
Soon, Wen Ruohan found Director Liu i of the NTS’s first channel in her contacts and dialed her number.
The reason why Ding Yue chose to contact Director Liu i was mainly because she was from NTS and held a not insignificant position.
Ding Yue thought that even if this newsworthy event did not fall under Director Liu i’s responsibilities, he believed that NTS could not remain indifferent after he reported it to her, could they?
Moreover, Ding Yue had a sowhat friendly relationship with Director Liu i.
Last ti when Director Liu i urgently needed a docuntary to fill in the NTS’ schedule, it was the food docuntary "A Bite of Xia Country," produced by the Film and Television Institute of Mist City Arts and Science University, which saved her day.
Furthermore, the good news delivered by Director Zhu Youzhao this morning, that "A Bite of Xia Country" had been nominated by NTS for docuntary golden prize, was also inford by Director Liu i herself.
Beep beep beep~
The call went through, but no one answered.
Seeing this, Wen Ruohan looked up at Principal Ding and said, "Principal Ding, Director Liu didn’t answer the phone."
"She must be busy then?"
Ding Yue murmured a little at her words, then planned to phone Director Liu later: "You send Director Liu’s phone number, I will call her later after I go back."
"Alright."
Wen Ruohan imdiately copied the phone number and sent it to Principal Ding through WhatsApp.
"Let’s go, ti to go back."
It was already close to six o’clock and Ding Yue realized it was ti for dinner. If they delayed any longer, they would miss the dinner serving ti in both the first and the second cafeterias.
Because around six o’clock in the afternoon, the last class at Mist City Arts and Science University would end. This lecture alone would have more than 10,000, or even 20,000 students attending. A small group of students would either have finished their classes for the day or didn’t have any in the first place, since the general schedule at the university only contained two or three classes per day, very few had a full four classes.
The course scheduling at Mist City Arts and Science University accommodated a maximum of four classes per day, two in the morning and two in the afternoon. However, the arrangent depended on individual majors and the teachers’ schedules. In most majors, there were only two or three classes a day, and so courses even had only one class a day, so days even had none.
The luckiest students were those who had more classes on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, but only one on Thursday, and no classes on Friday.
That ant they had half of Thursday, along with Friday, Saturday, and Sunday off, and thus enjoyed one long weekend, which was simply delightful.
Most of the students whose last class on Thursday was in the afternoon would imdiately head towards the first and the second cafeterias after class.
As for which cafeteria they chose, it depended on which one was closer to their classroom building.
If the first cafeteria was closer, they would go there directly because it would be ridiculous to go to the second one and line up for a long ti, wouldn’t it?
Without saying another word, Ding Yue took Ruohan directly to the second cafeteria.
Luckily, Ding Yue and Wen Ruohan arrived at the cafeteria right at 6:01 PM.
At that mont, throngs of youthful students were pouring out of each teaching building in Mist City Arts and Science University, flooding towards the first and second cafeterias.
If Ding Yue had been a minute or two later, the second cafeteria would’ve been swarming with people.
anwhile, far away in Yancheng city.
NTS headquarters.
In a broadcast room, Director Liu i was engrossed in preparing for a show with her team and thus failed to check her phone that was put to one side.
When she finally got a mont to breathe, Liu i picked up her phone and saw a missed call.
The missed call was labeled with ’Mist City Arts and Science University.’
If it was marked with Mist City Arts and Science University, Director Liu i knew it would be from the secretary of Principal Ding from the said university.
"What could be the reason for the call?" Director Liu i murmured to herself and imdiately dialed back the number.
