As far as Principal Zhu was concerned, a physics genius like Ding Yue was undoubtedly cut out for "academia", so using "academia" instead of "academic work" better reflected Ding Yue’s capabilities.
"Thank you Principal Zhu, I’m truly grateful. I assure you, I won’t let your faith in go to waste during my postgraduate studies at Yancheng University!"
Ding Yue said, his eyes determined.
This proposition equated to Principal Zhu literally handing him a master’s degree in physics from Yancheng University!
So, Ding Yue, not being an ingrate, planned to achieve sothing during his ti at Yancheng University as a token of his gratitude to Principal Zhu. anwhile, he could wholly connect his achievents to his own Physics Departnt at Mist City Arts and Science University.

But for now, Ding Yue wasn’t sure what significant physics research he could undertake during his postgraduate studies at Yancheng University.
Having completed the gallium nitride semiconductor materials technology, Ding Yue didn’t plan to invest much energy in semiconductor materials.
Firstly, there was no unlocking of more advanced technology for now.
Secondly, Ding Yue wanted to try other areas of physics; staying within the confines of the semiconductor materials field seed like a waste of his learning "buff".

After all, the principals of private universities are business people.
While the principals of public universities, like Principal Zhu, hold national positions, as there are always D-groups in public universities after all.
