Mist City.

Land Planning Departnt.

Director Liu, responsible for land planning, was at work during a regular day. Since Mist City had recently established a high-tech industrial park, the workload for the Land Planning Departnt had significantly increased.

Many enterprises in Mist City aspired to secure a piece of land in the high-tech industrial park.

After all, once the high-tech industrial park was established and started to develop, the land there would beco extrely valuable.

As a result, over the past few months, many company CEOs had personally visited the Land Planning Departnt to see Longshun Liu.

So bosses even tried to use underhanded thods to obtain a good piece of land from Longshun Liu. However, Liu was considered one of Governor Li’s most upright and honest subordinates. Thus, no CEO could successfully obtain the desired land through illicit ans from Longshun Liu.

The land in the high-tech industrial park could only be obtained through legitimate channels.

Of course, there was one special circumstance: if a company’s developnt was truly beneficial for Mist City and it wasn’t the sort that engaged in speculative profiteering.

The most prominent example was Feiyue Group.

Longshun Liu had approved several parcels of land for Feiyue Group, including those for the expansion of Mist City Arts and Science University’s campus and for establishing a graphene industry park.

There were also plots for a dical health robot production plant—these parcels of land had all been approved by Longshun Liu after careful review. Even with Governor Li’s directives, Liu personally believed that Feiyue Group and Mist City Arts and Science University had obtained the land through their own rit, and the procedures for land acquisition were entirely regular.

Just as Longshun Liu was approving a docunt, the phone on his desk rang.

At the level of an official like Longshun Liu, there would usually be two phones on the desk—one for personal outgoing calls and the other for receiving calls from higher authorities, with lines that were naturally encrypted.

And this call was evidently from soone higher up.

"Hello."

Longshun Liu answered the phone, "Governor Li, why are you personally calling ?"

Upon realizing it was Governor Li, Longshun Liu hurriedly asked.

"Liu, co to my office now," Governor Li said tersely over the phone.

"Understood, Governor Li."

Longshun Liu imdiately responded. Although he had a eting scheduled shortly, a personal call from Governor Li ant that even if there was a eting, it would have to be postponed.

After hanging up, Longshun Liu quickly stood up and headed out of his office.

The office assistant had just returned and promptly asked, "Director Liu, are you going out? The eting is about to start."

"The eting will be postponed for now. I’m going to see Governor Li," Longshun Liu waved his hand and said.

"Ah, this!"

The assistant paused in surprise, as this was the first ti they had encountered such a situation.

But since Director Liu had said so, it appeared that the upcoming eting would have to be rescheduled.

After leaving the Land Planning Bureau’s office building, Longshun Liu headed straight for the building where the Mayor’s Office was located.

At the Mayor’s Office.

Governor Li had spoken with Ding Yue for quite a while about the establishnt and developnt of new energy vehicles.

The reason Governor Li had called Longshun Liu over was to have the Land Planning Bureau expedite the land approval for Feiyue Group and hasten Feiyue Group’s progress in building a car factory.

"Principal Ding, I have very high hopes for Feiyue Group’s developnt. You’re taking over the baton from Chang’an Group, so you better do well," Governor Li said, looking forward to Ding Yue’s response.

"Yes, we will certainly give it our all," Ding Yue nodded in agreent.

Having Governor Li’s strong support for Feiyue Group and Mist City Arts and Science University, Ding Yue certainly wouldn’t let down Governor Li’s expectations.

During their conversation, Governor Li had also said that as long as Feiyue Group’s new energy vehicles took off, Mist City Governnt could provide another loan.

By then, Ding Yue would have almost no worries about funding issues.

Having discussed the new energy vehicle factory and the land acquisition with Governor Li, Ding Yue awaited Director Liu’s arrival from the Land Planning Bureau to finalize the land deal. Ding Yue prepared to bring up another matter to Governor Li.

This ti, Ding Yue’s visit to see Governor Li had two main purposes.

The first and most important matter—which was almost concluded—pertained to the new energy vehicle factory land acquisition. The second matter was about the College of Agriculture and Forestry wanting to have a panda.

Ding Yue also wanted to bring a panda to Mist City Arts and Science University as the university’s mascot. After all, the environnt to the north of the university had been developed nicely, and the relevant specialties were already prepared to care for a panda.

Now they were just missing a panda.

To acquire a panda was not sothing Ding Yue could decide alone; it largely depended on Shu City as the panda base was there.

Therefore.

Ding Yue considered asking Governor Li for assistance. If Governor Li were to intervene, perhaps there was a chance to secure a panda from Shu City.

In recent years, the relationship between Shu City and Mist City had been warming steadily, with both cities collaborating to build a supertropolitan circle; their cooperation was increasingly substantial.
