Chapter 24: Yearning for Slaughter!

Boom! Boom-boom!!

Saeko Busujima no longer had the capacity for idle thoughts. The instant the demonic piece entered her body, she underwent a violent transformation. Her heart pounded, blood surged, and both muscles and bones twisted into sothing new.

What concerned her most was the maddening itch spreading across her back, waist, and tailbone.

“Ugh.” she exhaled, her breath trembling. “It feels like sothing’s… about to co out.”

She didn’t try to resist the itch, instead letting it take over—allowing it to grow without restraint.

Ssshh—

Her pale skin writhed unnaturally. The next second, a pair of black wings tore through from within. A tail, thin and sinuous with a heart-shaped tip, pushed its way out from under her skirt, swaying lazily through the air—before flicking Lynn in the face.

He instinctively reached out and grabbed the tail, rubbing it between his fingers without thinking.

“Haah”

Saeko’s knees buckled. She braced herself against the wall, inner garnts slipping to expose a flush of soft pink skin. Gasping for breath, her eyes grew hazy with sothing deeper.

Seeing this, Lynn let go of her tail.

Freed from his grip, it instantly recoiled, vanishing beneath her skirt as if hiding in sha.

“Phew…” Saeko let out a shaky breath.

“Nice texture,” Lynn remarked, absentmindedly.

It was the first ti he’d seen soone fully manifest wings and a tail upon becoming a demon. When Shiha and Miko transford, they had forcefully suppressed the urge. Saeko, though…

She cast him a look filled with sultry confidence, then withdrew her wings and tail back into her body.

Only after that did Lynn turn his attention to the blessing she’d received—though his mind was already wandering elsewhere.

He made a ntal note: Letting the master stroke her tail should definitely be added to the family guidelines.

Third family mber—acquired. And yet another special demon.

Lynn couldn’t help but question whether the “probability” aspect of the Demon Piece was even real. All three of his followers had turned out to be special-class demons. Maybe it wasn’t just luck—maybe only those with the right potential could beco one.

Putting the speculation aside, he examined Saeko’s abilities more closely.

“Killing Aspiration…” It resembled the “Single-Minded Aspiration” skill from before. That alone surprised him, though when he considered the part of Saeko she usually kept hidden, it made perfect sense.

His eyes moved down to her next skill—[Demon of the Blade].

Natural Swordsman… A truly terrifying ability. Whether it was swordplay or blade arts, she could instantly pick it up after seeing it once.

As for the first listed power—Slash. No elaboration, no flair. Just one word, standing on its own.

Going by the rule that the shorter the description, the more overpowered the ability, Lynn had a strong feeling that this one wasn’t simple.

After making a copy of her blessing for docuntation, he motioned for Saeko to put her clothes back on.

While she straightened her outfit, Lynn glanced at his own status panel.

Not much had changed—except under the skills tab, which now listed [Killing Aspiration] and [Demon of the Blade].

When she finished adjusting her clothes, he handed her the copied data.

“What’s this?” Saeko asked, puzzled.

After Lynn gave a basic explanation of the blessing and its effects, comprehension dawned on her face. They were all young, and the whole concept of leveling up through combat was second nature to them.

“No wonder this kind of power could be used to save the world…” she murmured, then lowered her head to read through the rest.

Her eyes lingered for a long ti on one particular section.

[Master: Lynn Waliver.].

So that’s her master’s na… Saeko repeated it silently in her heart again and again, burning it into her mory before continuing on.

She skimd over the i0 ratings in her attribute fields and turned her focus to the skills.

When her gaze landed on the first one, her grip on the paper tightened. She instinctively looked up at Lynn, a flicker of panic and confusion in her eyes.

He t her stare and gave a soft, reassuring smile. “Don’t worry, Saeko. We’re demons now.”

She froze—then smiled, brightly and freely.

That’s right. She was a demon now. Human morality no longer applied.

What was so wrong with a demon who craved slaughter? As long as… as long as her master didn’t hate that part of her.

He wouldn’t, right?

A ripple of uncertainty stirred in her chest.

After reading through all her skills, she found herself quietly amazed. They were all a perfect fit for her.

Poke, poke!

Suddenly, a finger prodded the soft part of her waist.

Saeko blinked and looked over her shoulder. “What is it, Ms. Shizuka?”

Shizuka Marikawa had finally snapped out of her dazed state. She was staring straight at Saeko’s waist, the mory of those black wings still vivid in her mind.

“Saeko,” she whispered, “are you… no longer human?”

“You just saw it yourself, didn’t you?”

“Then I don’t want to be human either!”

“Huh?”

Hands on her hips, Shizuka declared boldly, “I want to beco a demon too!”

“Ms. Shizuka, do you even understand what becoming a demon ans?” Saeko’s expression turned serious.

Truthfully, if Shizuka chose to beco a demon, she could probably thrive in this chaotic world. Saeko, having just undergone the transformation, spoke from experience.

Becoming a demon had given her more than just strength. Her body had grown tougher, her reflexes sharper—and then there was the force within her.

The magic.

A supernatural power no ordinary human could possess.

With just these abilities, she could easily handle those clumsy corpses. Not to ntion the blessing system—and those powerful awakened skills. Shizuka Marikawa choosing to beco a demon with her had definitely been the right decision.

This was a once-in-a-lifeti opportunity: to step into the extraordinary, break through limits, and ascend to a higher level.

Once that happened, everything would beco much easier for her as well. She wouldn’t have to constantly worry about the ordinary Shizuka Marikawa. She could go out whenever she pleased to enhance her… abilities.

At that thought, Saeko Busujima’s breathing grew a little heavier. Besides, she had also sensed that their master was not averse to taking on followers. Or perhaps—it was precisely what he desired?

Even so, as a friend, Saeko Busujima felt there was one thing this airheaded teacher absolutely needed to understand.

“Shizuka-sensei, do you truly understand what it ans to beco a demon?” Saeko repeated, her tone more serious this ti.

“Of course! I’m very smart!” Shizuka Marikawa lifted her chin proudly, then bounced over to Lynn and threw her arms around his.

Lynn instantly felt his arm sink into a sea of softness.

Balancing on tiptoe, Shizuka leaned in close and declared with full confidence, “Becoming the demon lord’s pet—I got that right, didn’t?I!”
