"Wait! Not him! You can't take him!" The forr abbot stood in front of Kim Chon-jae.
His disciples looked scared, but they also stood behind their master.
Kim Chon-jae looked at the group of monks with a frown. "I will give you five seconds to leave. Otherwise, all of you will be buried here."
The forr abbot wasn't afraid of his threats. He just looked straight into Kim Chon-jae's eyes and responded. "I am not afraid of you, Kim Chon-jae."
"Master…" The monks couldn't help but look at their master with admiration. Only the forr abbot could say sothing like this to the cult leader.
The Grand Commander also admired the old man's courage. For his sake, he even dared to confront a powerful man like Kim Chon-jae. He might be old, but he had the heart of a lion.
"Ludwig, leave now and tell Her Majesty to bring a larger army!" The old monk roared while keeping his eyes on the cult leader.
Hearing this, the Grand Commander hesitated for a mont.
"Hurry!" The old monk shouted once more.
The Grand Commander gritted his teeth and left with haste. "I will avenge you all!"
Kim Chon-jae was about to make his move when he suddenly noticed sothing unusual about the old monk's aura.
He furrowed his eyebrows.
The old man's murky eyes suddenly flashed with golden radiance, and his muscles grew rapidly in size. His aura of Transcendence slowly transford into one that rivaled that of a Venerable. This imnse change stunned Kim Chon-jae so much that he forgot to chase after Ludwig.
"You have hidden yourself well, old man. To think that you have reached that level of enlightennt…" He muttered with a deep look.
The old monk no longer resembled the frail old man that he had been earlier. He had beco a beast of a human. Even his aura was so overwhelmingly strong.
"By so luck, I have comprehended the Buddha Domain as a Transcendent Knight. I may not be able to beat you, but I should have enough strength to delay you." The old monk calmly spoke.
His Buddha Domain had temporarily increased his power to that of a Venerable, but he could only maintain this power for a limited ti.
Kim Chon-jae shook his head. "What a foolish thing to do. Your ti was already limited and yet you still use this kind of life-burning power to help other people. I can never understand you, old man."
"Kim Chon-jae, I don't know why you are doing this, but I will try to convince the deities to forgive you. Just stop this needless killings and-" The old monk wanted to convince him to surrender, but then, Kim Chon-jae suddenly attacked him.
Whoosh!
Booom!!
A powerful sonic boom rocked the mountain.
All the monks were killed by the blast, leaving only the forr abbot alive.
The old monk was devastated by his disciples' death, but his eyes were already filled with resolve.
"Kim Chon-jae, do not underestimate the rage of the deities! You may be powerful, but in front of them, you are just a speck of dust."
Kim Chon-jae sneered at his words. "I've heard enough of your words, old man. Now go and accompany your disciples."
With a stomp of his feet, he lunged forward and attacked with unbridled force.

A violent storm of mana struck the old monk, tearing his body apart. His Buddha Domain couldn't even block the cult leader's power and was imdiately destroyed.

A huge chunk of the mountain was erased from the face of the earth.
Kim Chon-jae looked down at the foot of the mountain, but he could no longer sense the presence of the Grand Commander.
He really bought enough ti for Ludwig to escape. He clicked his tongue in annoyance and went back to the top of the mountain.

Ludwig heard an earth-splitting explosion coming from the mountain. He looked back and saw a huge portion of it had been erased as if a deity had delivered a devastating blow.

The next day, beyond the stretches of Guseomdong, two large armies were marching along the road, bearing their flags of origin.
"So that's the famous army of House Silversword. Man, just look at their lineup. They look imposing!"
The soldiers of Veronica discussed as they looked at the warriors of House Silversword.
Among the reinforcent troops, they were the most conspicuous because of their newly crafted armor and equipnt. They also had the largest number of Transcendent and Elite Knights.
Lucas rode proudly on his horse when he heard all these.
"Wipe off that smug look on your face." Leroy sneered at him with his arms crossed.
Lucas chuckled and replied. "Mind your own business."
Leroy clicked his tongue and no longer bothered to argue with him. He knew that there was no winning against this guy. He would only annoy himself if he continued to argue with Lucas.
"Keep it down, you two. You are in the presence of Her Majesty, Yskaela Veronica. Can you stop embarrassing yourselves?" Dominic reprimanded them.
Alaric was also nearby so he heard everything clearly. He didn't expect the forr enemy Venerable to beco a close friend of his father.
"The friendship that you share is enviable." The empress remarked with a chuckle.
Hearing this, Dominic could only smile wryly. "We have embarrassed ourselves in front of Your Majesty."
"Not at all." Yskaela waved her hand, chuckling.
Suddenly, they sensed a group approaching them at a fast pace.
The empress furrowed her eyebrows as she looked into the distance. Alaric and the others also followed her gaze.
"It's the Grand Commander's people." The empress's eyes eased up when she sensed the familiar aura.
